  1. Used to be in the old days traders joined forums and gave club discounts, unfortunately now they need to justify the traders fees and these have to be passed onto the members. I feel no obligation to support a trader just because they are one but rather those that have given me good service not necessarily the cheapest either
  2. Just for the record I had already sorted where I could purchase some hoses for my 370 off the forum so I'm not taking the bread out of any traders mouth
  3. Looking at subwoofer options or potentially upgrading the lot JL do a nice subwoofer but you'd need to wire in a new amp which gets a little more involved http://www.jlaudio.ca/car-audio-stealthbox-nissan-370z
  4. I wouldnt touch it personally 1) It burns 2) Water is a better coolant 3) its very slippery and banned from many race tracks http://www.oilem.com/potential-issues-with-waterless-engine-coolants/
  5. If you dont have any friends in MT then i guess waterless washing is the only option , not used the Williams stuff but have used Optimum no rinse at shows and thats quite good
  6. Reducing intake temps is a route to proven power , using the formula pv = nrt (https://en.wikipedia...i/Ideal_gas_law) If you remember your gas laws of course In real terms an engine produces about 1% more power for every 20 degrees Fahrenheit drop in intake temperature so thats about 2.5% difference between a very cold winters day or the height of the UK summer In DAJW's car thats about 12 hp if i have done my maths correctly
  7. 1. Vlad - brake lines - YELLOW - 2005 350z (UK) 2. Tay - brake lines - 350z uk spec kit 3. Easy -Brake Lines -350z 4. Richf - Brake lines - 370z black/clear or clear with lettering would be great 5. Marcw79 - brake lines - 350z - blue
  8. A mate of mine wasnt a fan either , he builds 700hp+ Hayabusa engines for a living and hobby.
  9. I would think that launching it that will kill the drivetrain . I used to see lots of 500hp+ Skylines run quite happily on the track and road for years and break a diff first time on the drag strip, same with Evo's A little mechanical sympathy will go a long way
  10. I see IAT's of 50+ ie 30 degrees above ambient on my n/a 370! Would be interested in finding out how much a drive in-drive out price would compare to the Stillen

Richf - Brake lines - 370z Not fussy about colour pref plain but would like confirmation of what they are (pref picture) prior to order Just to correct the only way braided lines will improve the performance of your brakes is if your stock rubber hoses are totally shot. Braided hoses improve the "feel" of the brake pedal and feedback from the brakes , the master cylinder pushes the same amount of fluid to the calipers whichever type of hose is fitted.
  12. I have a Blackvue 400 in my 370 my insurer (Axa) knocked £30 off the renewal
  13. Im up for a 370z set if they have the blocks like the stock hoses
  14. Do them all ! Lol might take a few goes its best go use a stopwatch on your phone its a bit tricky

  16. I would think closer to £250 , you might be able to repair the crack but for the cost I'd be looking at getting a good used one , you are going to spray it anyhow
  17. Very nice , I took pics of mine today and spent ages trying to make it look less yellow but they photograph like that dont they
  18. Is that bhp taken at the flywheel or the wheels? Flywheel of course , well calculated flywheel Why do you say "Flywheel of course", as most we see on here are measured at the rear hubs and then a 'calculation' is done as to what they may equate as the BHP at the fly but that can depend on transmission factors that can vary the fly BHP? The BHP figure you have quoted is virtually identical to that I got after an uprev on the 370 .....measured at the rear hubs. different dynos , different days useless comparing. Lots of people get lower figures on Dyno Dynamics dynos compared to other types
  19. They have software, its based on the manufacturers not Osiris Anyone who thinks for a moment that an insurer wouldnt check if they had doubts is misleading themselves, not declaring modifications is an extremely bad idea, especially when its like £40 extra if that
  20. Not true , ecu's have a flash count to record if they have been altered , very very easy to check if this has altered. You dont need to check any parameters
  21. Is that bhp taken at the flywheel or the wheels? Flywheel of course , well calculated flywheel
  22. They can easy check the ecu. As for power Nissan clearly overstate the zed , or use a dyno that reads generously , my 370z with a cat back, intake pipes and k&n filters made less than 300hp on a dyno dynamics dyno , even post uprev it only made 309!
  23. I've just relaid my tiles , I got fed up with them moving across the floor and rising up with the 370 driving on them , heavy car/auto/sticky tyres is less than ideal , so this time I've stuck them down with gripfill , will have to see how it goes If I hadnt already sourced tiles (Long story but cant help you find any) I'd put two lines of carpet tiles where you park the wheels and leave the rest painted I've tried all the paints even the epoxy stuff and nothing lasts more than a year or two
