  1. Cheap insurance helps the zeds as well so they are popular with younger drivers

    HR air mods

Nothing you can do will net anything like the gains you got with your Scooby unfortunately Two real options for HP increases on the HR intake , silicone intake hoses with drop in filters (K&N or Cosworth) or the Stillen CAI long pipe set up which delivers the most but requires trimming the stock plastics to suit , the difference between these two is in the region of 4-6hp Sadly zeds in general wont make the stated power on many dynos, check out this thread http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/23450-dyno-results-info-thread/page__st__120 With NA cars modifications wont yield much increase in hp however an Uprev remap will change the way the car drives so it will feel much faster
  3. Its in the instructions , page 3 , recond mode = up to 10 days
  4. I think his point is that imports and autos are worth less
  5. Its the depreciation that makes them such a good buy at the moment , exclusivity will support prices long term i reckon like the IS-F What you save on depreciation will soon be left in repair bills if the Masser or Aston goes wrong , which they will because of what they are But of course the RC-F is heavy and not the fastest thing around but it has character (and a proper engine) , unlike a modern BMW
  6. I know of him of old, way back from when I was racing drag bikes, unfortunately most of the stuff has long gone along with the forum I frequented and I'm certainly not going to share stories on a public forum but suffice to say I have a long memory and wouldn't choose to spend my money with someone who operates like he does, not when there are plenty of good people out there
  7. I have to say if I had £45k and didnt want the performance of a GTR I'd be looking at the Lexus RCF , the sound is great , proper V8 , exceptional gearbox (Unlike the Maserati) Come January £45k could well put you in a 15 plate, hell of a car for the money and none of the major bills to worry about for another 2 years http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201507014808051?postcode=ex96qs&model=rc_f&quicksearch=true&page=1&make=lexus&radius=1500&onesearchad=used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew&search-target=usedcars&sort=default&logcode=p
  8. 309hp 313 is the PS figure Modding is just a matter of fact on these cars , going to happen sooner or later , enjoy
  9. I wouldnt use Richard at TTS for anything personally
  10. You are at the spark plug age (5 years) so personally I'd skip to p3 and do a p1 next year

    Decats

Just for the MOT I'm talking, won't track it or travel far. no but take it steady , keep the rpm low and no full throttle stuff . if you have it uprevved you could put a cat and no cat map on and juts switch them
  12. Personally I think you are mad doing it yourself on a 2012 car, I usually service my own cars and keep the receipts but in the case of the 370 its too new to take the hit involved with self servicing and yes there always is one. The specialist I use is happy to inspect the car and check it over and add any work he does on top of stuff he can see I have already done myself Best of both worlds then and no need to pay inflated dealer rates
  13. I'd buy (and do buy) spices and sauces etc online , I wouldnt buy fresh meat online as A) I dont know how fresh it is I like to see before I buy as I buy what looks nice at the time
  14. Considering how much my car leaned out after fitting test pipes i would certainly get the fuelling checked after fitting and to get the most out of them a remap would be needed , i believe increases are in the rdgion of 13-15 hp
  15. Advertised prices mean little often cars sell or can be bought much cheaper, a lot of owners seem to have an inflated idea of what their car is actually worth
  16. If you only potter and dont use full throttle above 4k then there is little need for 98 octane, personally I think its an unnecessary economy myself and always use the appropriate fuel irrespective of how i'm driving. A fuel system cleaner is also unnecessary in your case as well imo
  17. My wife lived in San Fran for a couple of years before we got married and I visited occasionally, she lived in Russian Hill and worked in Palo Alto. She now spends a fair bit of time in Philadelphia instead , not nearly as nice
  18. You dont need a master tech for servicing , any apprentice can change the oils on a zed , they are basic cars . You need a skilled fitter with experience of the marque when its in depth problem solving, certain upgrades , using diagnostic equipment etc for this experience is key Anyone who can service a micra can service a 350/370 every other service is an oil change and inspection, takes 1 hour to do it thoroughly, hardly rocket science. The reason I use an independent specialist rather than a main dealer is that they have a passion that main dealer lack
  19. If a battery gets drained to zero its ruined, it will never restore back to a healthy battery again These chargers are automatic so put it on the normal mode, you only need the recond once a year instructions are here http://www.ctek.com/Archive/ProductManualPdf/MXS%205.0_EN.pdf
  20. Skoda Octavia VRS estate £10k would buy an '11 plate http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201510318303458?onesearchad=used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew&body-type=estate&fuel-type=petrol&search-target=usedcars&price-from=9500&price-to=10000&radius=1500&model=octavia&postcode=rg207lq&sort=default&make=skoda&page=1&logcode=p
  21. Mine is charged inside my garage and still on the car, I wouldnt charge inside a wardrobe but as long as its ventilated thats fine DONT do what one of my neighbours did , charge a battery and then use his cigarette lighter to see if the water needed topping up ! Blew the roof off his garage !
  22. Nos enters the engine at -130 degrees c , its a very effective cooler , plus it adds power its not as silly as adding something that doesn't burn imo
  23. My HR did it but Jez at H-Dev assured me it was normal . I had a few idle problems with mine and seem to recall they can be troublesome, I read some horror stories on US forums about people who had tried to clean the throttle bodies so left it alone , repeated pedal dances helped but the idle speed would rise over time on mine
  24. No still happy to get them in the GB but if it falls through I wont be buying them off a trader on here
  25. Are you saying it pauses AT 1500rpm like in the video if so thats normal I assume you have you tried the throttle body relearn ?
