  1. Yeah supercharged hence sounding like a Spitfire and having different pulleys Its a massive car and heavy over 1800kgs , his is around 400hp and pretty much on par with a 350z i reckon
  2. Buy the best one you can afford and pay more attention to condition and history than the model type, there are plenty of nice DE's that I would buy over a HR anyday
  3. My mate used to leave his XKR with me for weeks at a time , its now joined him in Australia but I decided at the age of 47 that I'm still wayy to young for a Jag , it didnt handle , didnt feel that quick and I felt like a t*t driving it However it does sound like a Spitfire when on full chat , he had different pulleys on it but its a barge really
  4. You can't change the gear ratios with a laptop
  5. Its thats surge of torque you get from a turbo car , it makes it "feel" quicker, if you watch the speedometer go up you can see the zed isnt slow its just much less dramatic
  6. This one? http://www.gtech.co....essory-kit.html Looks sexy, particularly the flexible crevice tool... Yes thats the one , as I said its great around the house and needed if you use the upright as well , but a lot of money just for the car
  7. Variations or the model evolution of the 350z ie DE (2003-06) then REV up (06) then HR (07-08)
  8. Welcome to normally aspirated engines, you need to be in the right gear
  9. think you lose cruise control if you change the diff ratio, you do on the 370 otherwise i'd do it tomorrow its massively over geared
  10. I believe the stock maps limits throttle openings below 60 mph or maybe its just in 1st and 2nd so uprev can correct that , it wont make much difference to the hp or the 0-60 time though
  11. Do it yourself ive given you the links
  12. Gear ratios for the 350z are here http://mechdb.com/index.php/Nissan_gear_ratios Using a tool like this, you can do it yourself http://johnmaherraci...tio-calculator/ I'm not going to do it all but with 245/45/18 tyres, final drive of 3.5 , second gear of 2.32 the car will achieve 73.3mph at 7500rpm This is nothing to do with speedometer reading but actually road speed at the wheels, the speedo could read more than this
  13. I have a gtech one , its awesome and great around the house as well butnot cheap

  15. Any ideas why your car was running 20bhp down to official figures of the HR engine? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Because Nissan over inflate their HP figures?? Most zeds dont get near the stated power on a Dyno dynamics dyno , they can on some other makes though
  16. I think that Jez's dyno reads lower than many others, whether his is more accurate and others inflated, who knows ? You cant compare one dyno to another that's for sure My 370z made 299 on his dyno with K&N drop ins, post maf tubes and an invidia cat back , and only made another 10hp once uprev'ed. What the sheet says doesnt matter one little bit , its how it drives , you simply cant expect big gains on a n/a car so dont go with big expectations Your car will drive a great deal better once Jez has played with it for sure !
  17. Depends on who maps it and what dyno but ill go for 315hp
  18. no , not worth it imo , i used some on my car when it was new , it lasted about 6 months which is the same as fk1000p

  21. Check the basics , remove a plug , see if its wet and check for spark

    HR air mods

Smoothes the airflow and reduces heat soak, its a well tested mod in the US, I did a lot of research on the 370 before spending my hard earned so I would think the 350 results would be similar http://www.hps-siliconehoses.com/09-10-11-nissan-370z-hps-black-silicone-air-intake-hose-post-maf.html
  23. I have the same problem , my insurance is fine but my jeans keep falling down
