  1. Not sure that will do it , it might , but the glass gets pretty hot when you do it
  2. The base fuels may be very similar but Momentum contains much more ethanol than V power/nitro + Ethanol can cause problems for some engines if not used regularly http://www.fuel-testers.com/list_e10_engine_damage.html I have no issues at all in using Tesco fuel in my daily but wouldnt use it in my zed as i only fill it once a month or so , but i err on the side of caution Performance wise i'm not sure you would notice any difference between any super unleaded
  3. A disruption in the power supply to the door usually causes it , blown a fuse or had the door card off ?
  4. Tesco is 99 octane thought BP ultimate is 97
  5. A friend of a friend had similar happen on his xj220 it damaged the front spoiler , repair cost was over £10k ! Id get the usual three quotes and send them in
  6. Didnt know there was a garage bragging thread Mines still a work in progress 10 years on I started with a shed, it was nasty inside , not enough power , no heating , lots of mice and things went rusty overnight Then got to spec my garage as part of the house extension Built to the same standard as the house so well insulated plumbed with two rads and Sky TV - It has the potential to be turned into another room if needed by new owners or over my dead body! It was very much a workshop when I was racing, I spent until 10pm most evenings in there When the bikes all went it was time to get a better floor and occasionally change the toy The 370 has caused me problems with the floor tiles moving about , so they had to come up and I repainted the floor with 2 pack epoxy to see if it would last - It didnt by the way The during the winter of 2013/14 we had ground water coming up But the car kept snug Then it got worse Thank god I painted the floor , as it was much more manageable and the damage was minor Fast forward to this week, tiles back down this time gripfill holding them in place and a new toolbox which allowed me to make a longer workbench My old workbench, vice and drill have been relegated to the back room
  7. Is that a fan heater on the wall? I think i need one for mine , i do have radiators in it if im there for any length but some instant heat would be nice
  8. http://www.amazon.co.uk/VEHICLE-DEHUMIDIFIER-RE-USABLE-MOISTURE-ABSORBER/dp/B00F9M53HE/ref=sr_1_14?ie=UTF8&qid=1448446146&sr=8-14&keywords=dehumidifier+bags I use these ones and have done for 3 years , I put them on a radiator overnight to dry once or twice a year
  9. yep you need a polisher , or need to know someone who has one
  10. You clearly know more about butt plugs than I do
  11. This is a dyno sheet post uprev on Jez's dyno on a car with a similar spec to yours As i said you cant compare different cars and different dynos but the dyno at H-Dev does produce lower figures than others but that just makes me more suspicious of the others , especially in the US where they start claiming 350hp at the wheels etc
  12. I polished my screen with Cerium Oxide which helped a lot but mine was awful as well
  13. for me that involves bolting a turbo on
  14. Interesting, I have wrapped turbo charged stuff in the past and not noticed any difference but its worth a try on my decats, i still have some in the garage
  15. yes mine are flywheel so 299hp is LESS than 326hp isnt it ? I think the OP's point is that hfc's, a Stillen g3 intake , cat back system and a remap would hopefully yield more than a measly 20hp over the stock quoted figure My Skoda's often dyno around 20hp up from stock before any mods so some manufactures lie about emissions, some fuel consumption and some power outputs
  16. I thought "bog std" summed it up
  17. Put a stock system back on , it will be quieter and it wont lose a noticable amount of hp Put the stock cats back on , it will lose about 10 hp but you probably wont notice it Buy some of the motordyne decats , they are meant to be quieter than the HFC but you may have mot issues and they are a ludicrous price imo Or just live with it! I made a similar thread when I fitted decats , i still think its loud but my mates reckon is sounds great so i'm sticking with it for now http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/100864-invidia-and-decats-too-loud/
  18. Could've been worse , let me guess not a dyno dynamics dyno ? My car made 299hp on H-Devs dyno with a cat back, silicone intake pipes and K&N filters , after the uprev it made 309.4hp The cats do make a massive difference and the stock cats were holding mine back so I fitted decats, these make about 10hp more than the Berks HFC and as you can see 35hp up from before Still hardly more than the quoted figures but 1) I dont believe that the 370z stock would get close to 326hp on a Dyno dynamics dyno 2) Most of the US dynos are dynojet or mustang and they do tend to read higher 3) Perhaps US horses are smaller so they can get more in an engine 4) Expecting significant gains on a n/a engine is a waste of time I plan to run mine on a different type of dyno soon and I fully expect to pick up 20hp over my current figures, which will give a better increase in bragging rights than all the money spent , you cant compare dynos so you cant compare hp figures on different cars, you cant even compare dyno runs done on different days but on the same dyno. The only question is does it feel faster and does it drive better ?
  19. Front droplinks ? Does it usually happen when reversing on lock but not driving ? Mine would only ever do it when reversing off my drive , never noticed it when driving but one of the drop links was slightly worn , fine for mot though . 370's are known for eating them to be honest they are a cheap enough fix , a consumable really
  20. I'm sure Torqen will do them , they are popular in the US , I posted a gear calculator some time back so you can work out the impact changing the final drive What about changing a manual for the auto diff , is that a cheap way around it , i see 350 diffs on ebay for £100 ? I would like to do on my 370 , again its popular in the US but you lose the cruise control if you do and i do too much motorway driving
  21. They are pretty well made , for the cost I'd change them every 12-18 months anyhow
