  1. The seats are nice in the Nismo , you can buy Recaros and fit them to the standard car of course, the lack of switchgear where the heated seat switches are would grate on me with the Nismo , an opportunity lost imo , a nice little Nismo plate instead would be much better Few people keep their 370's standard even Nismo owners I have spoken to want to improve the sound , they are still pretty quiet
  2. Think you would need more than £15k to make a 370z gt into a Nismo , the bodykit, seats and wheels alone would cost that
  3. Not a easy job converting them iirc , the clock/speedometer unit is coded regionally and you cant change the language from Japanese to English so that bit wont work properly without new clocks (Not cheap) apart from that it would be switch gear and fog light fitting and possibly disabling the speed limiter which could be done by a mapper. Probably no warranty from Nissan either Apart from that they are the same afaik any of the specialists on here would be able to commission it i'm sure, as for importing it might be worth speaking to Torque GT down in Devon as they import a lot of cars from Japan and could probably sort it for you Shame really I am sure i heard the MK2 Nismo was going to be available in Europe with the auto , its a popular option in the US and Japan
  4. I think the T3's are a decent improvement over stock but so are the EBC Ultimax ones coupled with decent pads Just an important note though AFAIK the UK suppliers dont make brake lines for the post 2012 370'z as they were changed from this year on, you need to get them from the US
  5. Its been Fuchs for quite a few years now though
  6. Cant see any difference i suspect its a listing error on their website , its good oil though
  7. Apart from coast down losses not being consistent either As pointed out here Coast-down tests are sometimes used on a dyno to attempt to measure frictional losses, but because this test is not dynamic (meaning they're not done while accelerating, but rather while coasting to a stop with the direct drive gear engaged but the clutch depressed so that the engine and transmission aren't linked) it really only captures steady-state drivetrain losses as well as rolling resistance. Wheel power is pretty much as unadulterated as you can get
  8. If you are up for reading articles then this one explains why there is no fixed amount for drivetrain losses and how the more power you make the higher losses will be (Something thats overlooked by some tuners) http://www.superstreetonline.com/how-to/engine/modp-1005-drivetrain-power-loss/
  9. This article explains the number fudge that Dynojet use http://www.hotrod.com/articles/dynojet-chassis-dyno/
  10. They often use Dynojet dynos which over read by some margin There is a comparison tool here its for Supra but gives a good idea of the difference between a Dyno Dynamics and Dynojet dyno http://mkiv.supras.org.nz/dyno.htm
  11. Also that '08 model needs new compression arm bushes and thats £500 or thereabouts
  12. Buy on condition every time The mileage is neither here nor there nor the reg imo so i'd look at the cheaper one, book it into a specialist for a good check over/service as bet the spark plugs havent been done also budget for oil gallery gaskets and forget about the warranty they rarely cover much and wouldnt cover a clutch anyhow
  13. My old 370 has had 5 owners and its a 2012 car ! Number of owners wouldnt put me off if there was a valid reason for such , like there is with my old car If the current owner has just bought it and wants to sell it then maybe alarm bells would ring

I did my 370z with Carpro Reflect and then reload the latter is a pain in the A to use but once you get the hang of it it does leave a really good finish.
  17. I actually found the Japspeed silenced decats to be pretty good , having heard them both i think the Japspeeds actually dampen the noise a little better than the Motordyne ones , which are a horrific price to be fair I know Japspeed stuff is of variable quality but the decats seem pretty good , they fitted a few sets at H-Dev while I was there with no issues although they dont come with gaskets so you need to buy them seperatly

  19. Well sailed through the mot as expected , apart from a drop link that had loosened up and was quickly remedied MOT till 25th September 2017
  20. I had an invidia on my old car , it wasnt too loud but much louder than with the stock cats , it would be interesting to compare just decats on the stock system , I have a feeling that cat back exhausts offer minimum power gains on the 370 the only reason to fit them is for the noise If I could only have one car it would be a BMW M4 but its not special enough for a weekend car and not practical enough for a daily driver for me
  21. Thats good figures for stock cats , my old n/a car made 309hp with the stock cats and 345hp with decats. HFC typically make around 20hp on the 370z after mapping its not so much the flow as the additional timing that can be added with the smaller cats Also the 370z auto is geared for around 240mph in 7th gear , I did see one do that on a dyno but you couldnt do it on the road , I had Reggie on the rollers for a 5th gear run and the dyno rollers were screaming got to around 170mph but typically most places run them in 4th to about 130mph which is much more sensible imo
