  1. Load sensor that adjusts the headlamp aim if the boot is full ?
  2. The clicking axle is becoming common on 370z's not surprising considering the axle design is so similar , again its not an expensive fix usually around £50 from a specialist No heard of the throttle one though
  3. 130 plus is high imo , the 2012 and onwards 370's have improved oil cooling so for road use and occasional track use an oil cooler is not required unlike the earlier versions where they can struggle , but in the event of the oil temps getting a little high the car will go into a restricted "limp" home mode anyhow Both my 370 autos tend to run around 90-100 normal driving but can creep up slightly over 100 if spanked a bit , they do run hotter when driving in manual mode as you will be revving it higher Both my cars ran at 88 degrees water temp though
  4. Smoothrite isnt an underseal you still need to underseal over it Epoxy paints like POR15 are very good to coat unprotected areas , my Evo had unlaquered body colour underneath in places . I spent 2 weeks one Christmas doing it , took the fuel tank and exhaust off and everything, I used an epoxy paint , then shutz underseal and finally brush on underseal in nooks and carries When I did my R33 the protection behind the wings was like this ie nothing I used a rust protector , then smoothrite, then anti chip compound and finally wax To do it properly is a really big and really messy job , if you want to get a company to do it there are loads of 4x4 specialists that are geared up for it and can do it for a reasonable price
  5. I use FK1000p , also use Rimwax , i have tried cquartz on wheels but didnt seem to last any longer than the former so i went back , I do mine every 3 months or when i notice the beading has stopped after washing
  6. I'm looking at coil overs in case i keep mine but i dont want to lower it much if at all
  7. TPMS is on 2012 and newer iirc, the light comes on when the pressure drops by around 4 psi . You need a dealer to reset it and/or recode new sensors , they are about £45 each and are part of the tyre valve , they look like the GTR ones but dunno if they are the same Personally I wouldnt run that tyre on my car

    Car Choice

The GTR has 4 seats but only the legroom for two !
  9. Pretty sure the Nissan oem 5w30 is actually a semi synth oil
  10. I dont think HR's are worth the extra myself , plenty of people have had to change engines on them also Choice really is , fix or sell
  11. You need to track down the noise it could be an idler wheel , I know my car had one fail when Dom had it , a stethoscope would help http://370zgt.tumblr.com/tagged/parts
  12. The Mustang is 100mm longer than my Skoda Octavia which is wider and higher than the 'stang, I dont have any issues parking that
  13. Typically 5 years or 60,000 miles
  14. I have an auto dimming mirror You can buy them easily in the US , its a popular option for Nissans over there
  15. yes amended the first post it was £25999 ono its now £24999 ono , thats a price drop of a grand
  16. The Mustang looks great and sounds great but that interior and cheap nasty switchgear ! Couldnt live with it The Focus is a hell of a bit of kit but four doors .......much preferred the the older one with 2 and the way the prices have rocketed so do many others If i was in the market for a hyper hatch it would be the Type R , they do look a bit Halfords but that can be helped by going for the blue or gunmetal ones imo and from what I have read they are more fun to drive than the Focus
  17. I've tried it as a drying aid and its ok , not something i would buy again
  18. Saw a white car that had that clear film on it , it changed the colour slightly and had big lines of dirt around the edges , if stone chips bother you that this would Better getting a colour thats easy to touch up and enjoying the car imo
  19. Only the HR engine , this is a DE
  20. As with anything it depends on why , my 2012 GT Edition had two previous owners when i bought it in 2013 ! One guy for two years (company car) then one guy for one year before his wife got pregnant , a common story , i added one owner , I traded with Dominic for Reggie (My current car) as he wanted something to trade in so thats 4 in 4 years . Car is great, good condition and good history , truth is cars like this do tend to have more owners in the first few years and then settle down , more people buy on finance nowadays there is little incentive to keep for a long time
  21. DE is easy , the HR less so
  22. Only better in as much as they last 5 times as long but no they dont spark any stronger . Changing plugs on the 350z hr and the 370z is a time consuming job , no way i would want to do that every year
  23. yeah cause the oil is thicker when its cold
