Cheers boys - appreciate the info

Evening everyone My zed has developed a couple of problems recently. My passenger window has decided it no longer wants to work. When i press the switch theres no noise or anything so i presume theres no power at all reaching it. Could this be a fuse or a motor? Expensive fix? Also ive noticed my headlight washers arent working either. Could the issues be connected? I doubt it but you never know Cheers

There is something about a z in black. It was my first choice of colour but there werent any for sale when i was buying and eventually bought a gm but i do go weak when i see a black one Quick question about the alloys. They easy/ expensive to get? I really do like those.

Thanks guys - as always quick and helpful responses I had a quick look at the pedal dance, think it might take me a few goes! What is it with these cars and stupidly long sequences? Ive been trying for the past week to get my key fob to work again after the battery went flat and can i get the sequence to work...no chance haha Really hoping its nothing re the light

Evening everyone! I need some advice please. Been driving the z today with no problems. However this evening as i was driving the engine management light came on. Car is running fine, no noise, knocks etc. Any ideas? I know a diagnostic is the best but i hope someone might have some things i can try / look at Cheers

Could you not remove the wrap if you choose to sell up? Its just me, i really want my z to be a dark colour. Every z i see is either grey or silver and it annoys me, and reminds me of my lack of paitence ha

Does the wrap have a limited life span? Are they durable - im thinking stone chips etc? Sorry i dont know that much about it

Anyone decided to change the colour of their car? If so what colour? Mine is gm grey but i really wanted a black z but i was not paitent enough to find one (none for sale at the time) Thoughts?

Sorry to hear this mate. Like you im tired of the car too and trying not to use it until i make my mind up about do i keep it or sell it. Im so torn. Hopefully the clutch has a bit more life in it. Good luck

How very appropriate that this thread pops up today. Im in the same situation as the OP. I bought my z back in november after owning a focus ST3. I properly loved everything about my ST but my head was turned by the z which i believe is a beauty of a car and being sub 30 years old i thought id jump at the chance to own such a beauty of a car. However since i bought it ive just not bonded with it like i did my ST and i just cant put my finger on it. I think part of the problem is that i really wanted a z in black but there were literally none for sale when i was looking and bought a gun mental grey with the orange leather. I think that was my first mistake tbh - i have no paitence ha I always wanted a 'drivers car' and thought id have heaps of fun but it just hasnt happened. I took it to the peak district at the weekend for a blast and im gutted to report that i came home feeling nothing Where as driving my ST seemed like more of an event (had a fantastic exhaust system and it growled!). Obviously this is all my personal pov but i feel like i regret selling my ST which is something i never thought would happen as when i researched into the z it ticked all the boxes and i loved my z when i bought it. I just dont think its for me. As mentioned i find it heavy and a bit of an effort but i think im just looking for reasons to sell. But as mentioned whenever i park it i always look at it and i love comments i receive about it. I also love that i never see any others when im out and about (north east) and i always think they stand out for all the right reasons. I just dont know what to do as im literally 50/50 and keep thinking one day i might just click with it and have a right good laugh and totally fall in live like i thought i had!

Sorry if this is a really silly question.. Apart from checking the oil level are there any other signs that your car is burning oil? Would you be able to smell it for example? I have an 04 plate uk gt model and its a high miler. Service history is fully completed and on time and if you looked through at the folder of receipts you can tell mine has been looked after. Im just curious to know if there is anything specific i should look out for that might suggest sonething big is on the horizon engine failure wise. Or does it just go pop!

haha this is my first rwd too and I love it - i never thought i would love this as my as my ST but this has so much more character, especially as it goes mental at me when i open the doors its like an excitable puppy haha

Cheers kyle - appreciate the advice. I will have a look tonight. I only picked the car up on saturday! My z is also my weekend car and i look forward to some sidewards action (in a safe place of course) - if i can get it out of my driveway that is ! Ha

yeah i replaced the battery i didnt think the key would need reprogramming as it knocks off the alarm etc? im no expert tbh i iwll take it apart later and try that cheers lads

evening all it would appear my key fob is broken and the buttons do not lock / unlock the car. I have to lock and unlock the car using the key in the door method but the alarm goes berserk when i open the door. I have looked on ebay for additional key fobs / blank keys andI was wondering if anyone has done this and if so do you have any recommendations? or if there are any places i can go to? Or is this a nissan job? I am based in the north east.. cheers

Afternoon all I apologise if i have posted in wrong area. Well, today i collected my Z and its been a dream of a day until....i parked up. I tried to lock my car using the key fob but nothing happened, so i locked the car using the key in the door lock. When i went back to my car i then unlocked it and as i opened the doors the alram went mental and its done it everytime. I have just gone and replaced the battery in the fob and still the car wont lock / unlock using the key fob and still the battery goes berserk when i unlock using the key in the door method. Help?? Where i bought the car from locked and unlocked it easily enough in front of me (must admit car was already unlocked today so didnt notice) apart from that loving the z, although I have been driving like my life depends on it, sure once i get used to it i will drive with more 'freedom' thanks for any advice David
