  1. Yeah being honest I called him twice before and he was rude as fu k! But then had trouble booking for an uprev anywhere without booking way in advance. With work its hard for me to do that. So I thought just call once more. Third time lucky kind of thing and I spoke to his colleagues who was soooo kind d professional and helpful I booked it. When I'd had the chip done Clive was kinda nicer lol. But as a few mates said to me. He so good he doesn't have to sell himself. People just go to him. N I'm pleased so overall I guess it's ok. Alot of money for not much improvement. But I can now get it out of may head of MORE power unless I went to a turbo or supercharger. Which I won't. Good luck if you do!

  2. Well I found the culprit tonight after jacking the car up. It's a rod attached to the clutch going into the clutch housing.

I think I should be able to grease inside there once my grease arrives and hopefully that'll fix the issue.

  3. Mine did this when I bought it, it hadn't done many miles so was perhaps a little under used for the age. A liberal dose of white lithium grease on the big spring on the back of the clutch pedal and then pumping the clutch up and down a good few times, several days on the bounce, made it disappear. Dirt cheap to buy, so worth a shot before replacing parts IMHO.

I've read this is the usual fix but the sound seems to be coming from outside the car. Almost directly behind the pedal but on the outside. Could this still be the cause of the squeaking?

Look under the car. There's the clutch arm under gear box that moves back and forth with the clutch being depressed and released. My sound is from there very loud. Clearly the bearing.

  4. Cheers boys. I think I'm going to go oem. It's my daily drive and not gonna rag it anymore than anyone else does but I got a well priced one in the pipeline.

Il spend the extra on exterior me thinks. Or save! Ha

  5. Ok people I need some advice.

I'm in need of a new clutch.

But from your experiences which are the best to go for?

It's my normal day to day drive. I do love a race of the line at lights but I also need something that's good for day to day.

    What's the advantage or disadvantages?

I can get an oem one easily enough but do I go performance and if so which one?

  6. So it was time for the 9k mileage service. Lucky my last service was the large P3 plus gearbox oil and all.

However I was hoping this would be a cheap one this time round- silly me, since when is it cheap.

    So service went fine.

Now I need a few things to make it top notch.

Clutch pedal just become a tad squeaky, my left rear pad is getting low, ac belt perished, also both front and rear roll bar links need replacing.

    So....

Can anyone suggest what parts to get and from where?

    I think I need:

Roll bar links front and rear (drop links)

    Rear brake pads

    A/C belt

    Clutch plate

    Pressure plate

    Resistance bearing

    Thanks.
