After getting my shiny new plenum of mopedmark and fitted at Lake z it was time for another purchase, this time a bargain from Tarmac sportz in a shiny new strut brace, and a engine bolt kit. Finally managed to get a bit of time to spend on the Z on Sunday whilst the mrs was on the great north run. whilst I was on I decided to started to clean the gunk from the engine bay, now I know a lot of people recommend carb cleaner but I didn't have any, the only thing I could think of that may work was wd40 which has an unbelievable amount of uses including cleaning my slate fire place and my log burner. Worked a treat sprayed it on to a tooth brush bit of scrubbing and hey presto, fingers are in bits now! Managed to get most of my bolts fitted but still have a few countersunk small hex left over with a small anodised cap, I'm thinking these are for around the edge of the plenum if any one can confirm? Here's how I left it. Pleased with my days work.

I only noticed mine had gone when it went in for it's MOT and was stood running, on the road and moving it was fine and as I had not been in slow moving traffic I didn't have an issue with the temp rising.

Looks great! all that hard work has payed off!

Will the bolt kit be suitable for a 2006 rev up? if so I will have it.

After owning various Nissan vehicles over the years and to go with the 350Z I have decided to take the plunge an ordered Her indoors a Nissan Quashqai tekna in white. After going to look at one I was very impressed and I also like the fact they where designed in London and built just up the road from me!

Hope it comes out better than the ginger one! Lol

Don't let the distance put you off! I have travelled by train to buy my last 3 cars and they have all been worth while. Give the guy a ring and ask all the questions you like get a feel to if it's a genuine car if your happy then yo just need a single train fair with the intention of bringing the car away :-)
