    Rollcage

What good bolt-in cages are out there for the 350z? Ideally looking for a rear half cage that bolts in with harness bar/mounts. The plan is to remove all the plastic and metal behind the seats, as well as the rear strut brace and hopefully be able to use the space for a spare set of wheels.
  2. How much additional weight does this kit add to the car? That SC unit looks HUGE!!!
  3. great that you got it out!!! how was it? Work to be done, but good? do you have an idea of the final weight of the car?
  4. damn..... 3rd. Do I jump up if I take the wheels as well ?
  5. I will take dibs on the front bumper if its not collected What size are the wheels? I didnt see any info in the post

Im having BC coilovers fitted this week
  7. what area is slys workshop? Rochester area
  8. Nice find!! I may have to make a trip over there No idea but from the shape of it & amount of fuel injectors it's a V8, ....with twin turbo chargers no less. it was the intercooler that threw me, but looks good.... really liked the piping from the intercooler
  9. My backbox is sitting at Slys workshop
  10. Would be worth it Thanks! Will keep it updated... have some good events this year. ASDA charity lap day, fast lap day with Nissan, 1 mile event and hopefully a couple of track days
  11. Mine have just started to crack, very fine small cracks and some crazing.... if I didnt plan for track, I would leave it, but the I think the heavy use will kill them rather quickly. Also judders when stopping from higher speeds. Im on 21k miles now Im tempted by the larger AP discs, just not sure they are as good - slightly thinner to keep the weight down, which causes its own issues.
  12. Thanks all Already have braided lines and uprated fluid.... Not done many track days, but hoping to do a few more. 380mm or 405mm discs?
  13. Some pics Thanks to the organizers and sponsors! The rest:- GTROC Roadtrip Photos by grahamcleverly | Photobucket
  14. Well just back from a roadtrip..... 4200 miles in 3 weeks and the GTR was fantastic! 2200 miles with 15 other GTRs trip went through France, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Germany and back to France. Did a single "tourist" lap of Nurburgring, in torrential rain - couple of us were led by someone that knows the track (who was on Dunlops ). Laptime was was around 16 minutes I think, I have it on the BlackVue Only issues I had was a TPMS sensor kept losing the plot and had to put some oil in. Also managed 164mph on the de-restricted sections of the autobahns and lost my nerve, since the slower drivers loved to just pull out at the last minute with no notice. Had absolutely fantastic responses everywhere we went, the locals were great!!!!! On a side note, my front discs and pads had started to crack (very very fine) before the trip, so now need to look for new brake discs and pads.
  15. Well dropped the car off at sly... He has it for 3 weeks maybe more should be rather different once I get it back
  16. It's a hard life and totally not jealous at all!!! Did I forget to mention that I officially stopped working on Monday and I am currently unemployed sitting at home having a F&F marathon......... So unfair, but I'm sure you've worked hard and deserve it! I would love to agree and say "yes".................... Only joking! Have worked hard for it all, been buying property since I was 19 and been doing lots of overtime since November

  21. I took delivery of a South African import years ago. We got married and now have 3 kids some of us have all the luck!! doubtful Im only 35 Does look small.... probably 1000cc engine 1000CC ? Its a 2000cc sierra pinto engine OHC what are the plans.......first thing I would do is servo the brakes Was a sarcastic comment.... Not sure, get it here and see what its like is step 1, but the brakes sounds like a rather good place to start! Honestly dont know much about these cars, so it will also be a bit of a learning experience. Coming from South Africa I assumed sarcasm or schizophrenia due to you're first post

"For the love of cars".... started out with an original mexico and wanted to do a rally rep, but not right for a mexico.... this one is not that, so rally rep would be cool Will be a slow project, as I am away for 4 weeks and technically looking for a 2nd car to import with this one - save a lot on shipping!
