  1. I found them a pain to get in and out of with the roof on, as above, hire and try before you buy!
  2. I have the 550 one in the GTR and its great... video is great quality, the main issue I have is stringing the videos together, working on that though.

I would prefer it with the 6.3AMG motor

Its a stunning car and really hope the DO make it and price it well, so that we at least see them on the road, unlike the LFA. Agree I wish it would come in close to £40k, as I would consider one, but it will all depend on the engine and gearbox it gets given. If its only a 2l turbo, then it will be doubtful that I would purchase it. There is a lot of good competition out there and Toyota needs to think about this carefully. When did Toyota last make a performance car? Nissan had to come in a lot lower price wise to get the GTR into the market, I doubt there would be many on the roads if they started at £75k for the car. I wonder if they will do a 2l turbo petrol engine with some sort of electric hybrid motor, similar to the 918? and then you will have a pricetag like the Lexus LFA
  5. Now that is a good find! Will keep that link, could be useful....
  6. My other half had a lap in a R33 GTR, driven by a nutter who shall just be called "Paul" not the best video, but makes me laugh!
  7. Having come from a similar car 480bhp supra In all honesty the 350z (thats with TC off) is well behaved compared to the Supra... Supra was in constant argument about which end of the car wanted to be infront of the other! The Supra in the wet was just something else........ its like a psychopath in the bushes, just waiting for the right moment to jump out and kill you! Sorry Graham, have to disagree on that one, in comparison to what your describing mine was very well behaved and dint often brake away without provocation even at 540BHP and nearly as much torque, i drove it hard in all kinds of weather too.... mind you i can remember a lot of posts on the Supra forum about Supras stepping out all over the place, but it was usually down to bad alignment and/or tyres. 540 = single right? I was running hybrid twins, so maybe that made a difference. I had new tyres and the alignment was done. Was wet/damp on the days the above happened.... didnt have any good summers during my ownership of the car. It was the final nail in the coffin for the car... driving home one evening after a long day at work, with NO provocation the back decided it was time for the passing move!! All I wanted to do was drive home nice and calmly, but the car had other opinions and that was when I decided to sell.

  9. Interesting, I have a similar issue on mine... will add this lot to the list of things to check
  10. I have scared the hell out of a pedestrian that wasnt paying attention the road and just crossed, admittedly he was at a crossing I had accelerated into the tunnel for the noise of a non-resonated GTR and saw the red light and stopped in plenty of time, he still wasnt very impressed.... looking the opposite way, he managed a 1m jump back onto the pavement. His girlfriend found it hilarious!! Time and place for everything.... where is that? Track only? Tracks all have noise limits.........
  11. Lip arrived today, in the biggest box I have ever seen!! Any fitting instructions floating around?
  12. sheer brilliance!!!! 1 lane grasshopper gone wrong
  13. Im really liking the ones you are posting......... will the £33 ebay ones do this job? I think its time my chav car goes CHAV!!! Not sure if serious? Sadly, I am about the neons.... leaving the chav bit
  14. True, but I know the current owner of that car and it is driven everywhere these days. The car was at the Donnington event I went to... link to thread is in the first post. The maniac owner drives one handed (its been modified for him - up and down shifts are on a single paddle on the one side - all done by SVM and topnotch work) must have scared the hell out of some of the passengers he took out

  16. Thats a 1200bhp GTR Will be posting up some videos a little later, just need to string them together and upload
  17. hahaa, my misunderstanding.... makes complete sense re-reading your post! They had cones up towards the end and there were lorries at the end, so you didnt want to mess it up. 99% of the time entry to the straight was comprised by slower cars, so starting speed was a lot lower. My GTR is only stage 4, 165mph was about the average, there was one nutter with engine and turbos done that claimed 200mph, but not sure.
  18. That was just the last 6-8 cars that were on the track when the track closed, for the day we had in the region 15-18 cars. Fantastic day, great fun!
  19. Need to sort out the videos, but it was a great day out! GTROC stand was the busiest throughout the entire day and raised nearly £3k from passenger rides! 167mph down the back straight was quite cool
  20. should be entertaining When are you expecting to getting a work car (with the v8)? Sourcing my daily chugger this month, then Suzi will be off the road. I'm hopefully going for a modest C270d Merc. You may grow to love the ride comfort and the fuel economy But it will be DULL!! Saving money though by doing so and putting that cash towards the SC oh yes it will be.... but worth it!!!
