  1. Wait for the Google car, it will take you past all the shops before taking you to where you want to go
  2. I may have a set of tickets for the above game on Saturday available for sale. Sat 17th Oct 20:00 QF2 New Zealand vs France Cat C £125 each face value... so ideally £250 for the set. Only selling as someone may have Wales V SA tickets for me
  3. Good choice.... I have been tempted to go for a test drive
  4. Now get it on a track and see what its actually capable of GTROC has a Silverstone track day on the 25th...
  5. Your second point regarding Farrell is exactly the reason Lancaster has NOT done a good job. He built a team around George Ford and then bottled it to play Farrell and Burgess. Burgess has never been, neither ever will he be a world class centre, he may even only ever be a reasonable Union back row player. It had disaster written all over Lancaster's team selction policy when he omitted Luther Burrell and others from the squad. I believe there are players in the England sqaud who have openely said they won'y publicise their thoughts regarding the failings. It all looks like a complete shambles to me and something is very wrong within the whole structure as far as I can tell, there are 31 player in the squad and individually most of them are very good players, in this sqaud they have almost all become medicore together. good points RE selection and I cant help but agree. Must admit the Burgess selection was a bit weird.... considering how little experience he has. But rugby isnt about great individuals, its about great teams. So many have proven this (this RWC alone) SA, Wales, etc all have brilliant players on paper, but seem to lose something at top level competition - it the nature of the game
  6. GTR is in having work done and is booked on at Silverstone on the 25th will check dates
  7. Not been to Bedford, may be I should Definitely seems that way I was thinking that the reason I am willing to accept going a lot slower in the MX5 is probably that I have the GTR for days that I really want my speed fix, which certainitly does help
  8. Agreed. As much as I enjoyed tracking the 911, I'd have had much more fun in my MX5 by a country mile. 100% slower, 100% more engaging. No, this cant be right................ we agree on something?!?!!? WTF has happened to the world I agree and disagree.... completely agree with the difference between track car and tuition. Disagree that you havent learnt anything about road driving, purely on awareness and car control you SHOULD be way better than most other road users.... if you arent, please keep me updated on the track days you do, so I can avoid Tuition is another stage of it and always worth while... I really enjoyed a drifting day and learnt a lot about how a car reacts to situations and what you do, etc. CATDT is supposed to be brilliant, many GTR owners swear by it. Goal for me on track was to have FUN while driving like no one should on public roads I have friends that go as well and swap cars, etc, its brilliant! Oddly we all own R35 GTRs and we all take other cars to tracks..... R33 GTR (700+ hp), Porsche Cayman/NSX, MX5, etc
  9. Some good advise.... I went for the MK2 MX5 purely because the missus prefered it. Its great fun on track and even with coilovers (adjustable) is not bad on the road. We through a lot of abuse at the MX5 and its never been a problem... 4 different drivers, 9-10 sessions in a day and it just continues on. The downside is that they are slow, for power circuits like Castle Combe they can be a pain, but for tracks like Thruxton where its all about carrying speed, they are brilliant and both the missus and I have annoyed some serious machines around there Tyres, seats and suspension have made a world of difference.... and planning to go SC over the winter Yes, I rate the MX5 as more fun on the track than the GTR. Its also nice knowing that if I bin it or the engine blows up or the gearbox goes (most of the big expensive parts) its cheap and easy to solve on the MX5.
  10. Mines still there Isn't it always? Yes, I think he should start paying me, not the other way around Does he always remember to take the "For Hire" sign off before you visit Graham? So far he has

  12. Southern hemisphere normally have an additional gear for these sorts of events Sorry, I may have added in from what I saw in the papers earlier. Completely agree, Japan no where near as good, but they seem to want it a lot more. They still get excited about the game.... they had another good win over Samoa on the weekend as well English centres are a relatively new pairing, plus a couple of injuries. Ford V Farrell will be an interesting debate both are good, but both need some work. Being from southern hemisphere I think too much emphasis is placed on the kicking, yes its important, but there needs to be more to 10. For example, I think Halfpenny has become too much of a kicker and lost a lot of his game.
  13. To a point, yes, look at coaches, but I think Lancaster has actually done a pretty good job. He has built up a solid team and there is a lot of young players that will get better over the next few years and most will have at least another 2 RWCs in them. Looking at the backline, I think the starting line up needs work. Farrell was not the right choice. Ford seems to control and call plays for the backline better. I also think more focus needs to be put on 9/10 being game makers and not so much kicking, they should be controlling the game. I also think most northern hemisphere teams need to learn to adapt better. They go in with a certain plan and if that doesnt work, they struggle... Wales V Ireland is a key example and England struggled with the same thing, not adapting.... especially in the scrums. The Aussie scrum was well planned and England kept allowing them to do it.
  14. I actually thought that England did quite well against a very well structured and planned Aussie game. The Aussies have always been able to "rise" to these sorts of occasions. The running from the Aussie backs was just brilliant to see and the way middle row of the forwards worked together was brilliant to watch. Now I really need Wales to beat Australia so that they can top the pool, otherwise my household will be torn! I support Wales 1st and SA 2nd, missus supports SA 1st and Wales 2nd Was brilliant to see SA show some proper form against Scotland (was in Newcastle for that game)!! They completely dominated the 1st half, shame they lacked the finishing to finish the game off properly, but lots of changes means that they are still somewhat disjointed...... hopefully things improve over the next few weeks.
  15. Not the best of Welsh games, but they looked tired.... short turn-around from the win over England and most players had not fully recovered, but its a win. Now to go buy my Australia tshirt for Saturday
  16. On our way to Cardiff to watch Wales play Fiji later today. Then Newcastle tomorrow for the SA game
  17. Completely and chances are that it was just a tragic accident. I don't want to see this becoming a case just to get a settlement out of Porsche. But if there was something fundamentally wrong then Porsche should be pulled up on it. We all know that companies will consider risk VS cost and decide whether it's worth doing....
  18. I agree. It could be more than likely lawyers pushing for it but if it was your parent(s) and you were not happy with what you were being told.... What would you do? Exactly the question Jetpilot, were the injuries and fire just part of the crash? If so, fine tragic accident, but damn well has the right to ask or question the facts given!!
  19. Please explain how my view is rose tinted I crash is not in question, being stupid, old tyres, whatever else.... That is drivers fault. No question. But what is being questioned is whether those deaths were necessary. How is that not a valid question? If all they have is "it should have had traction control" then no chance.... But if things like the seatbelt caused significant injury, enough to stop them getting out the car or if safety features on the fuel system were ignored or corners cut then it's a different story. Porsche has had road at and race cars burst into flames at relative low speeds, this is not a first for them. How else is his daughter supposed to get answers??? Go through Porsche.... Please!! They would just try and cover their own butts!! Independent review and if she has to go to court to get it, then I have no problems with it.
  20. As mentioned above , , your car will only burst in to flames if it hits a tree Sorry I am wrong . . GTR's will just catch fire on their own with out actually crashing in to anything https://www.youtube....h?v=pBcSuKA6pPc Set fire to the car by sheer braking force love it!!
  21. No he didnt.... he was the passenger! So you are now the be all and end all of everything and I cannot have an opinion??? How far up your own ass are you? Fire and rescue were called, but at NO point do they state the car caught fire....... It rolled over a few times and spread debris over 200 yards. Who looks silly now?????
