  1. Basically it is a beneficial thing to have turned on but if your having trouble setting off in the snow as you described in your earlier post then you really should have turned it off. Once you get going in the snow/ice though it is best that you turn it back on, as you mentioned on slippery surfaces it can help you from slipping off the road and in to a ditch.
  2. That can only be good news ~ more responsibility, more money to blow on the Zed.
  3. Some amazing pictures and Zeds in this thread everyone.
  4. I bought it as a kit from CleanYourCar - http://www.cleanyour...d&productId=911 . Out of stock on their site. I found it on eBay as well if your looking.
  5. Don't be too quick to criticise - they look really good when you've got a Comic Relief Nose on the front grille - almost human.
  6. Welcome Tom. I'm from the Cardiff area myself. Regarding fuel ~ tbh imo I would never use anything less than Super Unleaded. I'd rather look after the engine and spend a bit more on fuel then run the risk of running on a lower octane fuel especially if you like to put your foot down occasionally.
  7. Lol. I was just thinking that too spursmaddave. I used to have an 03 Type R 30th Anniversary Edition Zach and now I've bought a 350 and then there's Rich who is selling his EK4 Civic to buy a Zed. You will love the torque on these car's compared to the Civics and they don't drink oil for breakfast/lunch and tea like the Type R's either. Check out the buyers guide for some good tips Zach.
  8. Welcome aboard. What colour's your 370 then? Don't think chrome would suit all colours you see.
  9. What about gun metal?
  10. Nice pictures indeed jjt. Picture 3 get's my vote as I have always loved the Zed's rear end.
  11. ^^ I used to go to raves too back in the 90's. Those where the days.
  12. As said resale value is higher so it works out about the same. Power flow systems IMO sound like powerflow systems. They have a distinct noise usually and IMO not a great one. Plus at least with an £800+ exhaust some research and development has gone into how it flows etc. That's exactly what I was thinking. At least the "better" companies have put some time and effort in to research & development to discover if there exhausts actually make real world power gains and not just make a nice noise. I'm going to be in the market for an exhaust system within the next year so am looking now to research first before I blow a whole wad of cash on something that might not make me happy. On another note, bit of a thread hijack I know sorry but does anyone have Sports Cats or do the majority of you just stick with OEM Cats and get a full cat to back system?
  13. mmmmm no. Last winter I had RE040's on the rear (yes, not the best tyre, but they're black, round and expensive, therefore the same as every other tyre in this logic) and I couldn't even pull away with NO throttle at all, just slowly letting out the clutch caused wheel spin and then T/C kicked in. And I live on an estate with probably 1000 people, fairly populated area. Bought some winter tyres and all was well. Snow went the very next day but hey-ho, they're sat in the garage waiting for average temps to drop lower. From what I understand your supposed to turn "traction control" off for driving in snowy conditions. But I get what you mean, sometimes anything but 4wd is pretty much useless in some snowy/icy conditions especially a powerful rear wheel drive car.
  14. I like that especially from the rear view. Not too keen on those front lights but what a nice car still.
  15. agreed or a coloured lip to suit ^^ That doesn't look too bad actually. Wheels are definitely a personal taste thing though.
  16. Looks really good. I've never used anything like that before but am tempted after watching the video of the results & your 3000mile test. How much roughly are we talking for a kit delz0r?
  17. "Missile systems", ....sounds like a cool job. Military based or private company? Welcome and enjoy your low mileage 350.
  18. Keep looking. Good one's are out there just takes time to find them sometimes.
  19. I'd go for something like what SuperStu has done personally. I do like the black wheels that 350 Ad posted too but as mentioned it does seem to make them look a little small.
  20. It's going to be my first winter with my Zed but I'm not particularly worried. It did snow last year a lot where I live in South Wales and was very deep in places. So much so that my fwd Civic type R got trapped in my local village as it couldn't get up the hills to my house and the Uni I work at closed for two days. If I think it's too dangerous I'll just leave the car at home and walk the five miles to work & back. Better that then a damaged car.
