  1. Pretty glad the Zed doesn't have front fog lights as I hate these prats you see driving around with them on all the time with absolutely no sign of fog.
  2. No probs. Just copied & pasted from my old thread on Scoobynet so didn't have to write it all out again. Saved time for sure.
  3. Definitely agree and that's a pet peeve of mine. The amount of people that sit at traffic lights blinding you with there brake lights on when they've a perfectly good hand brake just takes the piddle. "Perfectly good handbrake"? So this doesn't apply to Zeds then? Mine works perfectly well providing it is pointing skywards like a private school boys first erection . I take it you've had much experience with this then Mr Jimmy Ballistic. Did ya fix it for them??? No and it was the first thing that came to mind for terms of describing the Zeds handbrake position, ...no wait, erh that sounds even worse. It's an expression?! maybe? Definitely not the first thing that come's to mind.
  4. In case you did want to fit the compact style twin tone air horn Hughesie90 I have just dug up my old thread from Scoobynet about fitting it. As I said a fairly simple job to do but you will also need an inline fuse holder, 20amp fuse and a few other little bits I forgot about. Ignore some of the fitting instructions as it was for my96 classic shape Impreza but the main jist of it is still the same for the Zed. Hope that helps if you do go for it. "When you buy a Stebel Nautilus Compact horn you get the; Electric Air Horn A five pin Relay (the 87a pin on the Relay is not used) And a plastic air hose attachment (for frequent off road use/did not use mine) Sure it also came with a mount (but cannot remember TBH) You will also need; An in-line waterproof fuse holder PCS CABLES OnlineShop 20 Amp blade fuse And some connectors (4-6 blue female insulated and 2 ring connectors), single core cable (1mtr est) plus some electrical crimpers. *Disconnect the two wires from your stock horn. (taking note of positive and negative wires) *Connect the old horns negative wire to pin 85 (the negative -) and the old horns positive wire to pin 86 (the positive +) on the Relay. *Connect a wire between pin 87 on the Relay and the positive connection on the New electric air horn. *Connect a wire from the negative (-) side of the New electric air horn to a good ground, e.g. A chassis leg, or the negative (-) battery accessory wire. (I fitted mine to the front slam panel) *Connect your in-line fuse holder between pin 30 on the Relay and your 12V battery or a good 12V positive supply but I'd do it directly to the battery. *The 87a pin on the relay is not used so just ignore it...job done. In the above I have not included a few things as it is up to you where you mount the horn and what you do with the relay although the horn must be mounted on a horizontal plane with no more than 25degress in any other direction and obviously situated where it will not be subject to large amounts of water (like puddles). This is what else I did; *Removed my front grill (mine is fitted behind this) *Fabricated a metal bracket (from an old bike spanner wrench) to hold the horn securely. (Bent into a Z shape) *Fitted the horn to the front slam panel on the passenger side behind the grill (already spare holes for bolts etc on my classic) *Fitted my Relay in to the OE Subaru engine fuse box (theres already a space inside big enough for it on my classic) *Then secured all the wires with cable ties, put my grill back on and temporarily deafened myself testing the new horn. Never written a job out like that before so I hope that's ok for everyone and that I haven't missed out anything."
  5. The horn on my96 JDM WRX was absolute rubbish so I bought a twin tone air horn made by "Stebel" from Halfords. Used to scare the sh*t out of people when I blasted it at them. Pretty similar to this one; http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_787885_langId_-1_categoryId_165704# It was fairly easy to fit but did need a "relay" fitting with it but was still pretty simple to do. Not sure if you'll need the relay though with the "Ring" air horn version.
  6. It's 50/50 for me. Some good things done to that Zed for sure but some very sh**ty things done as well. Wtf's with the mini bar in the back as well.
  7. Phew thank goodness Microsoft have never had issues in the past
  8. Splitter looks good. Couldn't you get any closer though for the pictures?!
  9. Looks good and like the colour coded bits especially the door handles.
  10. Couple of great R/c bit's for sale on eBay if anyone's interested. Very unique heavily modified Subaru Impreza with lot's of carbon fibre, aluminium and titanium parts; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-10TH-MODIFIED-THUNDER-TIGER-RC-NITRO-SUBARU-IMPREZA-CARBON-FIBRE-TITANIUM-CAR-/321251151780?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&hash=item4acc0f8fa4 1/10th scale CNC alloys; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TOPCAD-CNC-SPLIT-RIM-ALLOY-WHEELS-1-10TH-SCALE-THUNDER-TIGER-TAMIYA-HPI-CARS-X4-/321251093820?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&hash=item4acc0ead3c .15 Pro pull start engine; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/THUNDER-TIGER-PRO-15-PULL-START-R-C-RACE-ENGINE-FOR-CAR-BOAT-TAMIYA-HPI-1-10th-/321251084641?_trksid=p2047675.l4066 Various 1/10th scale wheels job lot; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-10th-SCALE-RC-WHEELS-GOLD-SUBARU-ALLOYS-SCHUMACHER-TAMIYA-THUNDER-TIGER-HPI-/321251104991?_trksid=p2047675.l4066 Thanks for looking.
  11. Definitely agree Richf. What they should have done imo is; Oil pressure, Oil temperature & then had the multi function gauge as we have now but with the volt gauge as an extra feature on it.
  12. Halfords do have these metal cable ties listed on there site; http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_747017_langId_-1_categoryId_255230 But by the looks of it there not stainless steel. You may get lucky and find some stainless steel ones in store or you could use those just for starters whilst you source some stainless steel ones online.
  13. Does the gauge move at all? If so then I'd guess it was possibly a sensor/sender issue?! I'd try a PM to one of the traders on here like Abbey or Hdev maybe to see what they think. Hope you find some answers.
  14. Never chatted before but love a good birthday. Happy Birthday jumping350.
  15. Looks very nice and the best colour too. Hopefully you'll get those little problems sorted soon and can start really enjoying your Zed.
  16. Welcome George. Enjoy the new motor. Very decent car for a young guy to own, just please don't put any "max power" stickers on it.
  17. Currently averaging around 18mpg with an average speed of around 12-18mph. That's back & forth to work with busy traffic in suburban areas. Get more though obviously on motorway journeys. Not bothered about fuel economy in the slightest though tbh.
  18. Love the colours especially the purple.
  19. ^^Your always tempting people to spend cash CS. Why do you have to have a store filled with such great products for the Zeds?!, ...dam you.
  20. Guy on here called Broomer got some cheap stainless steel de-cats from eBay for £75 I think it was. This is his build thread; http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/73426-broomers-zoe-the-zed/page__st__20#entry1159680 Just thought I'd mention it in case you didn't want to spend silly money on expensive de-cats, ..after all there just steel pipes.
  21. What's even more frustrating though is when you get to a sensible legal place to over take these people, pass them at no more than the legal posted speed limit and then you notice in your rear view mirror that they are repeatedly flashing there lights at you like you have just done something wrong for over taking them. They in your rear view long enough for you to see them repeatedly flash their lights? Yes.
