  1. Sorry to hear that. Bloody scumbags. I'd also make sure you take any valuables out of the car if you can just in case.
  2. If it's a new car and under warranty then it has to be the dealer for obvious reasons but with the Zeds, especially the older variants like mine a good independent garage is just as good imo.
  3. + 1... It's not my fault I have a lot of free time.
  4. When I bought my Zed it had 12 Nissan service stamps and probably 3 from independents. I wanted at first to keep the car Nissan maintained, ..so took it to my local Nissan dealer for the spark plugs to be changed. Cost me around £220 all in for the job. Afterwards I inspected my engine bay only to find damage on my MAF unit (chunks taken out of the plastic) where I had put a brand new K&N service sticker (you know the one that says "lifetime filter: do not discard") so it was noticable. Really pi**ed me off and I'm never going back there for service work as they obviously don't give the care a customers car deserves or maybe it was just because my car is not brand new. Either way my local garage guy is much more caring with customers cars, has good knowledge and is about half the price to do the same jobs. If/when I want something more important doing I'll just drive it up to Abbey Motorsport or similar reputable tuner to get them do the work.
  5. You could try a PM to atkin666 in that thread I linked you to see if he can help (It was his birthday the other day and he is still on here) or you could just replace the head unit with a new double din as has been suggested. I'm not an electrics guy so I'm not going to tell you it's easy to fit but it's not hard either if you get what I mean. You just need your new head unit, some adaptor plugs and a few tools. Some threads that may help you; http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/15611-what-you-need-to-upgrade-your-350z-audio-system/ http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/55445-wiring-in-a-new-hu-this-guide-may-help/
  6. Definitely agree with this statement. Driving my Zed (03 plate DE engine) in suburban areas at rush hours, back & forth to work I'm seeing currently between 17mpg and 19mpg. Doesn't bother me but for some this would definitely put them off. Tax isn't cheap on the newer models as others have said and neither is servicing whatever the model especially if you intend on using Nissan Dealerships.
  7. Got to earn a living somehow I guess. I've had to work weekends/nights in various old jobs before and it's never nice imo but you just have to get on with it. Worst was when I was young working in a pub as a Sous Chef ~ weekends where the easy times, ...it was working Christmas day, New Year's day and similar that really pi**ed me off.
  8. Welcome aboard Art. I'm starting to get a bit jealous now of all these new owners with bulging bonnets. Best colour btw.
  9. Welcome aboard and lovely Zed. Really do love the bonnet bulge on the newer models.
  10. Only just noticed this. Hahaha. Thanks Steel Lynx.
  11. Each to there own and I would definitely not get my wheels done but for some interior & exterior parts it is fantastic. Tbh imo I doubt you'd be able to tell the difference when it's done properly by some of these companies nowadays. Oh and I think you mean "Barry boy cars" btw, not "barrow".
  12. Definitely could be a bargain for someone. I'd carefully want to check out the service history and inspect the car thoroughly but the mileage wouldn't put me off necessarily if I was looking. My old Honda Civic Type R had 118k on the clock when I p/x that and it had given me 3 years of faultless reliability.
  13. ^^ Working on a Saturday BBK. Boo, that sucks. Slept in, posted parcels, walked the dog and literally watched paint dry whilst I fixed a few small stone chips on the Zed. Relaxing day to be fair.
  14. Might as well join in. Happy Birthday
  15. Are you the genuine Aquagraphix from Blackwood then? Heard lot's of good things about your work and was contemplating sending you a few bit's from my Zed to do in the new year. Are you going to try and get set up as a Trader on here then? Hahaha yes we are THE Aquagraphix from Blackwood and yes as soon as we can we will be traders on here We will be happy to treat your parts to a little Aquagraphix awesomeness ;-) That's fantastic. Been eyeing up your site for awhile now and just need to wait for the Christmas spending madness to die down before I can treat my car to some of your great dipped products. Welcome aboard btw.

  17. Do Clarion make the Bose unit then? Oops, didn't realize that. I'd replace the head unit as well tbh.
  18. Incredible car and interesting video.
