  1. Glad the wheel weights have gone. Zed look's great so have fun & enjoy it.
  2. Very nice. Have you got some writing in front of the passenger door though? or is that something on the pic?
  3. I'd guess less than that even.
  4. Unlucky Dicky. Does seem a little unfair sometimes especially when you read about other people getting let off for doing 49 in a 30 yet you get done for doing 58 in a 50. (see jokes thread "my daughter is a grass" for what I'm on about)
  5. Very interesting read ilogikal1. After some recommendations from Ekona the other night I have even more products I'm going to be trying in the new year on my Zed so it's always good reading your posts about your own little experiments. Save's me spending a fortune on too many products you see.
  6. Welcome aboard Andy. Sound's like you've got Zeditus pretty bad then like a lot of users on here. Lot's of places you can go for a re-map but highly recommended on here from what I've read are places like; Abbey Motorsport & TDi North. There are others though that may be closer so try the search button to see if you get more results closer to home. There's also a whole section for 350Z modifying so you may find more of your questions already answered in here;http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/21-350z-modifications/
  7. Very nice Sean. In the first picture with the Rays alloys on the Zed I was going to comment why has someone put a wheel weight on the rim! Bl**dy tyre fitters as they should have used stick on ones but doesn't matter now as you've had the wheels done so hopefully that's gone. @WhackyWill ~ Does a bit. She's fit though I think.
  8. Just fyi; "Fisherking" was last active on here: Aug 22 2013 09:54 So you might not get a response from him HARMLU. Let's hope they sorted the issue for him either way. Cheers, I was only interested as I got my z from the same place and have nothing but good things to say about them No probs. Just thought I'd give you a head's up in case you didn't realize. If you slide the cursor over people's name it give's you information like when they where last active, what there doing etc.
  9. Cool pictures AJRFulton. Look's like one heck of an experience doing something like that. No idea on the modern Micra's but my 998cc 1988 Nissan Micra MK1 survived a hell of a lot of abuse from a new driver. You know typical young driver first car antics; full of mates, hand brake turns, J-turns, hard stops and wheel spinning almost every time you pull away.

  11. That's a good call. How about a "SUZUKI GRAND VITARA GV2000"; http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201312040322964/sort/default/usedcars/engine-size-cars/1l_to_1-3l/radius/200/page/1/postcode/cf158rl/keywords/4wd/onesearchad/used/price-to/1000/price-from/500?logcode=p
  12. Great looking GTO. There 4WD as well aren't they?! Bet that's a lot of fun to drive at pace.
  13. Sound's interesting. Not got any experience really with these smaller engine car's as the last time I had a low powered motor it was my first car which was a 1988 Micra 998cc. Found some though on Pistoheads just to give you some ideas; Ford Fiesta 1.25 16V; http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201312120497072/sort/default/usedcars/page/1/fuel-type/petrol/price-to/1000/price-from/500/engine-size-cars/1l_to_1-3l/radius/200/keywords/air%20conditioning/postcode/cf158rl/onesearchad/used/transmission/manual?logcode=p Ford KA 1.3i; http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201312110473717/sort/default/usedcars/page/1/fuel-type/petrol/price-to/1000/price-from/500/engine-size-cars/1l_to_1-3l/radius/200/keywords/air%20conditioning/postcode/cf158rl/onesearchad/used/transmission/manual?logcode=p Peugeot 206 1.1; http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201312100451375/sort/default/usedcars/keywords/air%20conditioning/page/2/transmission/manual/fuel-type/petrol/postcode/cf158rl/radius/200/price-from/500/price-to/1000/onesearchad/used/engine-size-cars/1l_to_1-3l?logcode=p Fiat Stilo 1.2 16v; http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201311059688256/sort/default/usedcars/keywords/air%20conditioning/page/2/transmission/manual/fuel-type/petrol/postcode/cf158rl/radius/200/price-from/500/price-to/1000/onesearchad/used/engine-size-cars/1l_to_1-3l?logcode=p Citroen C2 1.1i; http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201309278988950/sort/default/usedcars/engine-size-cars/1l_to_1-3l/page/3/transmission/manual/fuel-type/petrol/postcode/cf158rl/onesearchad/used/keywords/air%20conditioning/price-to/1000/radius/200/price-from/500?logcode=p Vauxhall Corsa 1.2i 16V; http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201310159288119/sort/default/postcode/cf158rl/radius/200/keywords/air%20conditioning/engine-size-cars/1l_to_1-3l/onesearchad/used/fuel-type/petrol/transmission/manual/price-to/1000/price-from/500/page/5/advert-type/hl-nthcar/dealer/93999/usedcars?logcode=hlp Toyota Yaris 1.0 16V VVTi; http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201311069721242/sort/default/usedcars/onesearchad/used/fuel-type/petrol/page/6/transmission/manual/postcode/cf158rl/radius/200/keywords/air%20conditioning/price-to/1000/price-from/500/engine-size-cars/1l_to_1-3l?logcode=p Think that's enough for you to look at. All seem to meet your criteria.
  14. ^^ Sorry Zimjason will shut up talking about detailing products now. It's your fault anyway as your thread title got me muddled and your black Zed look's so darn good.
  15. That's what I started thinking looking at the picture. Why would you want to do that anyway Op even if it is possible? I mean you wouldn't want to drive around like that as it would just confuse people as it may look like you have your indicators/hazards on maybe. And you wouldn't want to leave your car parked like that I'd assume as surely it would just drain the battery?
  16. Well that's good to know but as Ekona mentioned I think it's more of a sealant than a wax.I do like it but I'm definitely going to try the Megs to see if I can get better results. Water does bead off the Turtle Wax nicely but if I can get a more mirror like reflection from using the Megs 3 stage that's what I'm really aiming for.
  17. Thanks Ekona. Since joining this forum my spending on detailing products has gone mad, well compared to what I used to spend that is. I do rate Meguiars stuff really highly so I'll definitely try the 3 different products you mentioned. Just going to wait till after Christmas to see if I get a Halfords gift card. That Turtle wax stuff I got as a gift for my birthday and tbh it is miles better than what I used to have to use which was a generic non-brand wax. Thanks again, happy to learn something new.
  18. I think your right Ekona. This is what I'm using; Is it a "wax" then or "polish" or both? Either way my car look's great after I use this stuff on it.
  19. Don't know what you guy's call a polish then? Maybe we're/I'm getting the term wrong but if I didn't polish after putting the wax on first then I'd just have dried wax all over my car. From my synthetic paste wax polish instructions; So wash, dry, wax, then polish as far as I was concerned.
  20. Great news ~ you should be home in an hour then, ...especially with your new mods.
