  1. Happy New Year Rob. It was -4.5 degrees this morning here where I live. Not much fun de-icing the car this morning, ...so it's in the garage tonight to keep it warmer.
  2. No problem, you're welcome and glad I could help.
  3. The "button on the right" as you call it with the red LED below it is not a button at all imo. To me it looks exactly like the old style immobiliser on/off switch, ...basically on your car keys you would have a small plastic pole/"key" that would fit in that hole above the LED and turn off the immobiliser. Example of the type of pole/"key" I mean below.
  4. ^^ Reading this thread Veeg I was just thinking of posting that video. Beat me to it.
  5. Sounds like good news. Hope it all goes smoothly for you.
  6. How the heck did a thread about Corvettes get side tracked onto EV's? I'm guessing gangzoom is in here somewhere and I've just missed him. As others have said; "each to their own" but regardless of how fast EV's can be I can't see myself ever wanting one as there is so much more to what makes a great driving car then just performance alone, ...something to be said for the theatre of a good engine & exhaust sound.
  7. I "liked" your post but not what happened, ...that's terrible but glad it sounds like its all worked out okay in the end. Oh and glad you all survived the winter as I can remember that was a particularly nasty one. Can't imagine how bad it was for you all in a caravan.
  8. Oh I'm confident a new Gran Turismo will appear, ...just whether or not it's before the release of a Sony PS5 I don't know.
  9. That's not bad then and I take it they deliver it to your house? ...that saves you petrol too then.
  10. I didn't watch that far on the video, ...jeeze I wouldn't be happy with that guy revving my car that hard whilst stationary and probably not warmed up properly. Well that's Halfords for you I guess.
  11. Were you building a place to live yourself then over 8 years? That's one heck of a long build isn't it.
  12. I home train and started back up on Sunday after 10/12 days off over Christmas, ...it's such BS though as I was struggling to lift some of the weights I was before my Christmas rest so had to drop some Kg's off (5kg was the most & at least 1kg off the rest). It's such a motivational killer for me as I train 3 days every week but see slow progress only to be put back massively just for having a week or so off. Is that just me or do some of the rest of you find this happening after a rest period? Still weigh the same as I did before Christmas but just feel like I've lost some muscle tone & strength.
  13. Moved to the brakes sub section for you. You say it judders under heavy braking, ...has this started just recently after some spirited driving and heavy braking? or do you think it was happening already but you've only just found out after having to do some heavy braking? Are they new discs/pads fitted or older ones? Just trying to narrow down what may be causing it like improper brake disc fitting (dirt on hub when new disc fitted, uneven run out or incorrect bed in procedure), distorted disc (warped ~ pretty unlikely on todays vented discs) etc etc. Some good info here in this PDF for you: http://www.brakeworld.co.uk/pdf/tb1.pdf
  14. You could always try selling the complete shell to Jon from Emperor Tuning to save yourself some hassle as he's looking for Zeds. Link: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/113590-damaged-car-for-parts-breaking/ Glad you got the engine you needed.
  15. You're lucky though really Pete, ...I mean when we moved into our new house we had a similar incident but it was in the middle of the night. It was around 3am one night when I was woken by my Mrs sitting bolt upright and then jumping out of bed. As I slowly came to I realised I could hear the boiler going and this sound of running water which was shortly followed by my Mrs shouting for me. I jumped out of bed and ran to our bathroom which was covered in water as the braided line to the hot tap had broken through in the middle of the night whilst we were asleep. I ran downstairs to turn the water off and was then greeted by the sound of dripping because the water had come through the ceiling. We dried it all up as best we could and then went back to sleep as we both had to go to work the next day. Just like you though I was able to replace the braided pipe fairly easily and luckily it all dried out fine without bringing the ceiling down. We were lucky though really as if my Mrs hadn't have woken up it could have been so much worse.
  16. With the Vortech supercharger (as with lots of others too) you change the drive pulleys to increase power (giving higher Psi boost). There is also a toothed pulley you can change as well for increased performance I believe. Belts & pulleys from Torqen for example: https://www.torqen.uk/130-belts-pulleys-oil
  17. Tbf the old gear stick and hand brake gaiters didn't look in bad shape but the new ones do look good with the blue stitching.
  18. That's a good one too. I loved Red Dead Redemption so I'll definitely be getting that when it comes out. I did notice you could pre-order the new Gran Turismo but I've learnt from the past that's it really not necessary to do unless of course you get some sort of discount or game extras for doing it.
  19. Could of written a better advert for it though, ...doesn't even mention MOT or FSH?.
  20. So what games are people looking forward to this year? I'm waiting on two games that I really want and possibly a third if it is coming out this year. Specifically; "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands" ~ release date March 2017. "Sniper Ghost Warrior 3" ~ release date April 2017. "Gran Turismo 7"? or "Sport?" ~ release date unknown
