  1. When I've had alloys refurbed before I dropped the car off at the end of the day and picked it up at the end of the following day, so a 24hr turn around. This was just for paint though and very minor repair. If the alloy/s are damaged badly then I could see it taking some extra time of course. Personally I'd just leave the car with them. Not every garage is full of hoons ready to thrash every car at every opportunity.
  2. Welcome aboard Louis. Good luck with the Zed hunt.
  3. Watched this video the other day and imho it was totally the Morgan drivers fault. Whether the insurance will see it that way though I don't know! Hopefully they'll watch the video and know for sure. I think the Morgan driver saw the camera recording him and just got too carried away. Shame.
  4. Beautiful looking cars even today as Si8pny said. Hope it all goes well and can't wait to see how it goes for you.
  5. Approved even though you did get your own username wrong. GLWTS Butcher.
  6. Looks much better imho. No doubt now though without all that huge downforce from your old BGW you'll easily lose control of the Zed so be careful.
  7. No idea and I did look but couldn't find the answer. All they say is... Source: https://www.truck-lite.com/content/faq/are-your-led-lights-polarity-sensitive I guess they want to keep that secret to themselves for now.
  8. All normal LED's are polarity sensitive yes, ....BUT a company has designed new LED's which aren't polarity sensitive. Just Googled it and the company is Truck-Lite. I totally agree with you 88 Zed as buying quality LED's in the first place will save you a load of hassle. I went through two sets in under a year before I finally got a decent set which seemed to last better. I believe Phillips 501 LED's are excellent quality around the £15 mark (not too big either).
  9. Sounded like a washing machine going to full spin cycle. Very impressive power but I'd much rather a petrol version.
  10. That's good going Luke, ...I almost moved this to the 370Z section, that's how impressive the number was.
  11. Did you look at the state of that place? Hopefully he'll get his.
  12. Luke is yours a 350 or 370? Just it's a good number for a 350Z that's all if it is.
  13. Hello Rob and welcome aboard. I've moved this here into the "Wanted" area as you might get some more help here. Good luck.
  14. Owning an S3 myself I know they're great cars and that's very low mileage for the age. GLWTS or swap.
  15. Welcome aboard. Could be a sticky caliper? The TCS is there to help save you if you push a bit too hard so you might want to leave that on until you've gotten used to the car imho.
  16. Taking it up into the Brecon Beacons tomorrow, off to Manchester next week, than got a road trip up to Scotland planned before summer.....At this rate I'll be hitting the 50K mile new car warranty limit pretty soon!! But who cares, cars are made to be driven and our is X most certainly been put to good use, no AutoPilot rubbish for me . If you haven't driven through the Brecon Beacons before you should love it. The roads are great and scenery beautiful although do keep an eye out for the odd suicidal sheep. Oh and going from the picture above they've done a great job of keeping the electric charge point well hidden. Wish more manufacturers would do that with petrol flaps.
  17. How big are we talking gillywig? Diameter and length? If you drain the oil is it small enough to likely come out with the oil or at least drop to the bottom near the hole so you can get it? If you Google it you'll find out you're not alone so don't beat yourself up about it too much although it could me a costly mistake (sorry).
  18. Can't imagine it happens all the time but I guess I got lucky with the Scooby (made a change). Thanks for the heads up about ATS though, ...sure that'll be useful to some members.
  19. As Veeg said. You can turn the EML off John using a code reader or the "pedal dance" (ECU reset) but it will come on again most likely the first time you drive off.
  20. That's definitely a good price. Years ago when I had a Subaru Impreza I had mine done at Kwik Fit (I'd never normally go to them) as they had an offer on at the time plus if the AC wasn't 10% colder afterwards then you pay nothing. Luckily for me it wasn't 10% colder when they checked after recharge so I paid nothing, ...drove a few miles down the road and all of a sudden blistering cold air was blowing out (definitely over 10% colder). Free recharge.
  21. Glad you're enjoying it gangzoom, ...that's the main thing.
