    250R

What's a 250R then? Is it an even better version of the "Lotus 250 Cup" then? Any pics?
  2. Very nice. Your pictures don't do the colour justice though as I've seen that yellow in the flesh before and it is nice, ...looks a little washed out in the pics.
  3. Definitely stick around. Post some pics of the AMG when you can. Bet it sounds fantastic that Merc.
  4. I think you should definitely give Castle Combe a go. The circuit is over 50+ years old and is one of the fastest in the country. It has been massively improved upon safety wise for spectators in the last 20 years and resurfaced across the majority of the circuit now making it very smooth to drive on. The only negative about Combe is that there is very little run off on the majority of corners on the outside edge so if you do make a mistake you really do not want to be going off to the outside as you'll end up on the grass and then in the guard rail/tyre wall before you know it. Combe in my Zed here just to give you an idea of what the circuit looks like from the driving seat.
  5. Of the few I've driven; Castle Combe, Donington Park, Silverstone and Pembrey I'd say hands down without a doubt Castle Combe is my favourite. It is however the only circuit that I have been on multiple times (double figures) in a range of vehicles including my old mans TVR Cerbera and a Formula Ford. I also drove on it back in the 90's before the "safety revisions" where made on it so I do remember how fast it was before they added the two chicanes (The Esses & Bobbies). Also when I did Silverstone it was in a Lotus Elise and I wasn't able to do the full F1 circuit as there was other events going on in other parts so did a shortened version of the track. Definitely need to get out more on different circuits.
  6. Do you still have the standard Cats on? ...or have you got HFC's or De-Cats?. I'd recommend the Invidia Gemini exhaust system if you're still on your OEM Cats as it's not too loud imho and definitely opens up nicely on WOT. Add some HFC's and it sounds even better again without being too loud. I ended up adding De-Cats to my system eventually after going FI but it might be a bit loud for you with the De-Cats as well. Personally I found it to make the best sound on my Zed with that set up. Definitely a personal preference thing though.
  7. Welcome aboard CAT driver training. Same but add money into that equation.
  8. Welcome aboard. Re: The insurance ~ I don't think the price ever "plummets" anymore regardless of you turning 21, 25 or older. You just have to shop around nowadays to find the best deals each year using comparison websites like GoCompare etc as well as ringing the insurance companies who aren't on those sites. Good luck with your Zed hunt and don't forget to try the insurance companies on here too.
  9. Welcome aboard. Only way to find out about the height thing is to go and try one I'd say.
  10. Welcome aboard Paul. Never too old to enjoy a decent car and have some fun, ...well providing you have good eyesight and a licence still of course.
  11. Welcome aboard. Most looked after Zeds will easily cope with 100K miles and more but if it's not been well looked after then then the engine could go well before that just like any car that's been abused tbh. Checking the service history is vital imo as well as checking the engine over as thoroughly as possible before you buy. Have a good look at the 350Z service schedule to see what things should of been done to any 350 depending on the mileage/age. Find it here: http://www.350z-uk.c...ule-for-a-350z/ Buyers guide here: http://www.350z-uk.c...rs-guide-fixes/
  12. Set here that might be still available: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/110337-370z-oem-alloys-and-nuts/ Send the seller a message by hovering your cursor arrow over their username to see the send message icon. Good luck.
  13. That does look interesting Will if a little big. Still cool.
  14. Welcome aboard moto. A bit of a 370Z guide here from Auto Express: http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/nissan/370z/62591/used-buyers-guide-nissan-370z
  15. Tarmac Sportz and Torqen would be my first ports of call, ..or have you already tried them?
  16. Blind faith or not reading my post properly in the first place. I did say "if". ...And as Dan mentioned; "Given the current RS has more than 300bhp from the factory, I think it's safe to assume the OP wasn't talking about the mk3."
  17. If it's a "2010 Ford Focus RS" (2.5Ltr) that you mean then yes the supercharged Zed (with 400Bhp) should beat the RS in a straight line theoretically. The 2010 RS in standard form (300Bhp) apparently has a 0-60 of 5.7 seconds which is the same quoted performance as a standard 2003 Nissan 350Z (276Bhp). Lots of other factors though would make a difference even if like for like drivers. No idea on the power to weight ratio of the Ford which would make a difference for example as well as gear ratios.
  18. Sounds fantastic imo. Really would love to hear that on full WOT going through the first few gears or through a tunnel. I bet that'd sound amazing.
  19. ^^ Arrrhhh the unseen misery the wife has to deal with. When the Jags done maybe take her for a trip to Paris in it to appease her (if you've any money left by then that is).
  20. Probably unable to read Probably not even real Police.
  21. Great stuff and can't wait to see it all come together.
  22. I don't think they look too bad tbh. I've definitely seen worse on other cars and I think DRL's would suit the Zed as it definitely looks more modern in appearance than it's years imho.
