  1. I had a really good experience the other weekend with ATS Euromaster on Hadfield Road, Cardiff. They do wheel alignment and loads of other things like servicing, tyres etc. Link: http://www.atseuromaster.co.uk/centres/cardiff-hadfield-road http://www.atseuromaster.co.uk/wheel-alignment The reason I say I had a good experience with them is as they fitted some new tyres on my Civic. The job was done fairly swiftly considering there were only two guys working that day & both were multitasking. The guy working on my car used a torque wrench on the alloys to do them up to the correct torque settings and he also inflated the tyres to the correct manufactures specs. This may sound insignificant but the amount of places I've been to over the years who fit tyres & don't even do that one simple task correctly is beyond me. Can't hurt to give them a try.
  2. Oh dear, never nice hearing this type of thing especially when the car looks fantastic otherwise. If the big ends gone though & you can stomach the costs it could be a good time for some forged pistons etc or maybe even a Brian Crower stroker kit. Good luck with it & hope it's not too bad.
  3. Yeah the white one written off was done by some Honda salesman apparently who got a bit too enthusiastic at a circuit somewhere. Presumably showing off what the car could handle & that he couldn't handle it.
  4. If you do go for a test drive and can take a GoPro or similar with you that would be cool. Be good to get an unbiased persons view on it and not to mention that you are used to powerful cars so you're unlikely to over exaggerate performance.
  5. Welcome aboard Helen, ...you should've joined 2.5 years ago. Beagles advice should help.
  6. See below as nixy states William H Bonney was one of his alias names. Thanks all and glad you found them interesting.
  7. Did this once before, ...see here: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/94555-some-rare-photographs-from-history/ So thought I'd just post up some more interesting historical pictures I've come across. Racing cars on the roof of the Fiat factory in Turin, Italy (1923) Out fishing for fun ~ Che Guevara and Fidel Castro (1960) The first International tennis match held at Wimbledon (1883) The only known picture of a living Quagga taken at the London Zoo (1870) The only known picture of Henry McCarty AKA "Billy the Kid" (1879) Test pilot George Aird narrowly escapes death by ejecting sideways from a prototype jet that has nosedived (1962) Schwerer Gustav ~ one of the largest pieces of artillery used in combat being observed by Hitler, Speer & others (1941) Hope you enjoyed them.
  8. Loving the Ultima GTR, ...the Austin, not so much. Looks like you had great weather there which is nice.
  9. Yep that's not going to be much fun trying to drag a 43kg gas bottle between that narrow fence & the caravan. Looks great though Chris.
  10. For his 2010 CTR or a Zed? Either way that's p**s poor offer especially with that little mileage on it. Should be quick with the power to weight ratio it's got (222Bhp per tonne ~ weighs in at 1378kg apparently). When Top Gear had it & did some tests although Honda claim a 0-60mph of 5.7 Top Gear managed 5.3 secs. 11. Welcome aboard. The Zed will handle the winter fine unless of course you get 2ft of snow & then like most RWD or even FWD cars for that matter you won't be driving it anywhere.
  12. It could be that in order to dial out any understeer problems (like the FN2 suffered) they have modded the suspension components in such a way that on higher speed corners the car may now actually be susceptible to oversteer, ...so in order to regain grip on the rear for the high speed corners they have added the wing. This may help explain what I mean... Or it could be "because race car"
  13. I'd like to think it was in the hands of another careful enthusiast but you never know. I did leave some 350Z UK spotted cards in the car in the hope the new owner would find them and join up on here. Time will tell. Nope I made sure my indicators always worked, ...you have to at over 100 in school zones.
  14. Sold. Mods could you please lock this thread when possible. Thank you.
  15. Sure you've seen my old build thread (it's in my signature) so you'd have known if it was my old Zed I'd have thought.
  16. Bummer. Shame the concept car is actually better looking than the actual production car. Still I'd have one.
  17. Yep definitely. One thing I detest about it is those alloys, ...they look exactly like TSW Venoms that were on about every chav ride going back in the late 90's.
  18. Did you get the reg? Keep wondering now who's driving my old Zed as I know it sold from the dealers I parted it off to for the Civic. It was close to London as well.
  19. Any pictures of that? I actually prefer the concept one I saw in pictures... Still the new CTR looks good in black though imo, ...or possibly the blue or silver versions.
  20. Sorry not laughing at you but come on 2Bhp?! Tell him he could get more extra Bhp than that just by running it on fresh oil every time, ...or maybe he could just take a dump before he rides for a better power to weight ratio. The only reason I used to stick to Shell V-power super unleaded for my Zed was because it was specifically mapped on that fuel. Prior to it's remapping I used any super unleaded fuel available locally which 9 out of 10 times was Texaco Supreme unleaded. Now in the Civic I'm back to just using Texaco super unleaded again as it's the most convenient fuel station as I don't need to drive out of my way to fill up like I used to when using Shell. Filled up today actually and at £1.21 p/l now it's on par with most super unleaded brands.
