  1. Yep. Heard about it on the radio earlier and was shocked & saddened. RIP.
  2. I would say what you could try is to see how low you can get the MPG on the way back but I'd hate for you to get pulled by the rozzers.
  3. The ECU reset AFAIK will just do the exact same thing your code reader is doing now so it sounds like the fault needs attention to me. If your Cat/s have gone then you could always try getting a good condition used set from zmanalex on here which will probably be your cheapest option. Link: http://www.350z-uk.com/user/9648-zmanalex/ Otherwise a new OEM set will be just as much as an aftermarket set of HFC's (high flow cat's) so you'd probably be better getting the HFC's as at least they'll be stainless steel & add a nice sound to the Zed as well as being more free flowing (...but then if you're selling it, probably not what you'd want to do). Link: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/99333-torqen-350z-de-berk-high-flow-cats/ The thing is though I cannot tell you whether it is a problem with your Cat or your O2 sensors so I'd be inclined to get a garage to look at it to diagnose the fault. If you do need good used parts though for a "cheaper" fix then I highly recommend you try Alex (zmanalex).
  4. Good for you Graham (great of you to adopt a rescue Cat) and good for Bertie too I'm sure.
  5. It just goes to show, ....those gauges are never accurate. Fair play though really.
  6. Can't think why not Andy? Worst flavour I tried was "bubblegum" flavour. It was from an eBay shop & whether or not it was a properly manufactured E-liquid or not I don't know but it definitely did not taste like bubblegum. First & last time I ever risked buying an E-liquid off eBay.
  7. Just had a google search for it ~ from 2009 as far as I can find.
  8. I did my best Dan but I just don't have the skills of Hadaka. I think it looks pretty good and I'd definitely drive it hard now & enjoy it.
  9. That was actually my first thought when I looked at that pic.
  10. That is "Sods law" in full effect there. I mean just look at that old Peugeot parked there and it had to hit the ST. Feel sorry for the owner.
  11. Scum, scum, scum!. Can't really write what I really feel about that person or what I'd like to see done to him as it is a public, family friendly forum but needless to say he wouldn't enjoy it.
  12. Mine doesn't register the top 1/4 of the tank. Only had it since Sat so that's not top of the list of things to get sorted but I've bookmarked the guide for when that one gets it's turn. Thanks Mine used to do it too. In the end I never really got it sorted, ...seemed to be better someday's than other days so I just learnt to always keep a good eye on the miles I'd covered.
  13. Just find a good local independent garage in future. See if any friends can recommend someone local who's trustworthy from their experience would be my advice. Fyi ~ If you start modifying your Zed & need a decent tuner you're only probably an hour or so away from TDi North judging by your location. Link: http://www.tdi-north.com/contact-us
  14. Welcome aboard. Just wrote this out below for another new member so copied & pasted it for you. Hope it helps. Just like buying any used car so do the normal checks. Check for rust around the rear wheel arches & also on the standard exhaust system particularly towards the rear section near were it joins up to the back box. Common problem with the fuel gauge not reading correctly but there is a fix for that should you find a car with that problem. Link: http://www.350z-uk.c...fuel-gauge-pdf/ More info here: http://www.350z-uk.c...6-buyers-guide/ http://www.350z-uk.c...uding-upgrades/ http://www.350z-uk.c...-zed-on-95-ron/ http://www.350z-uk.c...tential-buyers/ http://www.350z-uk.c...-must-read-wip/ Also a good idea to have a good read of the service schedule for the 350 so that when you look at cars you know whether or not the servicing has been kept up to date depending on mileage/age of the car. 16. No idea what side bank 2 is sorry but one thing I'd say is very "occasionally" with O2 sensors/cat emissions you can get a little hiccup. If it was me & the cars driving normally I'd be inclined to do an ECU reset first. Then drive the car as normal and investigate further if the EML comes back on again which it will if there is a problem. At least that way you'll know for certain it's a fresh code as well and not an old one stored on the ECU. 17. Go knock him out Flex he's staring you out.
  18. Was reading this "news" article about a rally car that almost hits a crowd of people. The thing though that got my interest was "Super Dad" pulling his son the opposite way to the direction everyone else ran & tbh probably saved him from getting splattered.
  19. Would love an Elise purely as a track day car, ...I've driven one on Silverstone circuit in anger and they handle fantastic. Not as nice to use as a daily driver though but still great cars. Lovely pictures especially the second shot.
