From what I've read Titanium is a fairly difficult material to mandrel bend so this maybe part of the reason. Easier to cut and weld in section although in itself welding Titanium takes a lot of skill. Titanium is also strong, corrosion resistant and almost half the weight of stainless steel (length for length) so less material is needed overall to support the weight of an exhaust system meaning that it is also made thinner saving even further weight.

Looks like a beautiful view from your house Loggy. The GTR is as usual an amazing car. Not something I think I'll ever be able to afford or realistically even be able to justify if I could afford it.

I'd agree with that statement, ...it's almost like they (the papers/journalists) want to take the pi** and have a good laugh at this unfortunate guys accident. Maybe it helps gain them popularity with the poor, "fake dole claim" individuals of this country!. I'll never be able to afford a car even half as good as that but still it doesn't mean I begrudge anyone else from being able to if they can afford it and I certainly don't find it amusing that it was written off so quickly. Just thankful nobody was hurt.

So much choice to choose from depending on your budget and whether you want a part system, full system or just a back box. As example; Low end ~ Cobra, Japspeed, DC etc Mid range ~ Invidia, Magnaflow etc High End ~ Blitz, Greddy etc Dogs danglies ~ Motordyne, Ark, Borla etc Although tbh some of those makers do make exhausts in various guises that will meet different budgets. Have a look at the Professional Traders sub section for some of the traders that can help you part from your money.

Welcome aboard. Tbh without doing anything to the car I'd say to leave the remap (UpRev) for now, ...maybe you'll want to add an exhaust or plenum spacer or other upgrade at some point in which case doing the remap after that will be much more beneficial.

Great news that you will get more time with the daughter and the rest of the family, ...I'm sure though that your grown up son understands now what you did for him in providing him with a good upbringing, safe home as well as the things he needed growing up. Enjoy every second as it sounds like you've earnt it.
