  1. Will be doing some DIY tomorrow in the form of building a wooden staircase banister for in our garden up to a higher section of the garden where we have a view point. Then relaxing with family members for the rest of Easter most likely.
  2. Very generous of you Rory & here's hoping whoever decides they want them at least buys you a drink.
  3. Shows as "Sorn" with no MOT currently. Wish I knew where my old Zed was, ...no sign of it anywhere. Exactly, totally and utterly "off the road". At least you know it'll be coming back bigger & better than before in the "not too distant" future.
  4. That's good news Tim. They do seem to be a helpful bunch from all accounts.
  5. Would seriously love to know what the new owners planning on doing with it though Mark (cause I'm nosey like that ). Stripping for parts, bringing it back to life or something else??!.

    New GTR

Prefer the older ones tbh but hell I wouldn't say no to any GTR.
  8. You should have put a poll on this thread Flex.
  9. The pictures I was shown of the work being done seemed to show everything being done, AFAIK, correctly. The only thing that I could think of at the time is that maybe their spraying equipment had water in the lines or something?? (no water trap or faulty/old water trap??) Possibly causing some water to be sprayed on the bare metal during the priming coat or base coat. Really I am just guessing though. It could even be that on the nice new piece of metal photographed that they installed it was rusty all over the back & I just couldn't see that in their pictures. Wasn't very happy about it at all especially after I was left without my car for several weeks overall during two occasions. The owner even gave me his own personal Porsche Boxster S as a courtesy car after the first job went wrong as an apology but tbh I didn't think it was as good as my Zed after driving it for a week although the MILFs locally loved it. 10. When I had my Zed it had a few small bubbles on the drivers side rear arch so I took it to a local body shop. They quoted me for some other spray jobs at the same time (respray front bumper & roof) but I believe it worked out around £250-300 for the rear quarter (repair & blend in with side/rear bumper). I had the work done and it looked great for all of about 2 weeks before bubbles started reappearing, ...understandably pi**ed off I went back and complained. They redid the work this time taking pictures along the way showing me everything that they did. On their second attempt at fixing it they cut out a fairly large triangle shape piece of metal, welded in a replacement piece of new metal, filled, smoothed, primed, base coat & lacquered. That's how it should have been done in the first place I thought. It only lasted for about 6 months though before the rust bubbles started coming back again!! In the end I left it as the bubbles were very minor & with selling the car on the horizon at the time I didn't fancy plowing any more money into it. Not much help I know Adam but just more of a cautionary tale. If you are going to try & get it fixed I'd consider getting a proper pair of new rear quarters otherwise you may end up paying more money every 6 months or so just to repair the same problem again & again.
  11. You're welcome Jk-boi and glad you're enjoying the Zed.
  12. Gareth you know me, ...I like to help people when I can but honestly I'm not a relationship councilor so I'm not sure if what I'm going to say is going to help. Hell I can barely stand my own Mrs half the time and often think of a life free of her. It's definitely not a good feeling being at odds with the other person in your life. Nobody imo will know 100% what you're going through even if it feels like they've been in the same situation before as everybody handles things differently & thinks differently. By the sounds of it though you are in a good position in the sense that you at least have a place to move out to with both of you owning homes albeit with you living at hers now. If I was you I'd talk frankly to her and tell her exactly what's going on in your head, ...even your thoughts of ending the relationship. She may well be feeling the same or she may be willing to put in the effort to try and save what's left of your relationship together if that's what you both decide you want to try. Seriously though I've been with my Mrs now for 12+years so despite our problems I do make a concerted effort to talk to her about the way I'm feeling hopefully before things get too out of hand. Good luck buddy.

    GT-Four

@Rock_Steady ~ Thanks for the info on the GT4 engine. Re: HID's ~ They don't really bother me tbh. Used to have them fitted on my old EP3 CTR which passed its MOT every year and the HIDs were fantastic for lighting up unlit B roads for a spot of night driving. If you are talking annoying lights/habits then I get more annoyed with the amount of people using fog lights when it's not even foggy, people with no lights on at night or several lights out, oh & those people with green or blue headlights!
  15. ^^ Probably what he said. It was ages ago now when I removed mine but I'm trying to remember if I used needle nose pliers or something like a small flat blade screwdriver to help tease apart the connector block?!
