  1. If you're only using it to pass the MOT and it's been like it for the past three that you've passed then why worry about it? Either follow veilside/Rich's suggestions of a new one (used one) or just leave as is imo.
  2. Now now Granville, you seem to be a decent sort of chap... don't let the power go to your head! I wouldn't you know that.
  3. Your mates right. Seriously though I have seen a few nicely modded "frog eye" Subarus before now but not many. Guess that'll make yours stand out if you get it right.
  4. Great news bud. You know what I want though I'm sure, ...some engine bay pics please when you can. Hah - it's a TVR, you can't just 'open' the bonnet like on a normal car. I need to find two impossible to reach quick release catches by the wipers and undo four bolts to remove it! Ahhh yes totally forgot about that. Quick google search has reminded me of what a PITA it would seem just to open the bonnet on the Tuscan. My old man had a Chimaera & later a Cerbera but both of those had opening bonnets like normal cars so not all TVR's are a PITA just to see the motor. I did find that you can do a conversion on the Tuscan with some gas struts etc to make the bonnet open in an easier more normal fashion.
  5. Personally if it was me I'd strip it out and turn it into a track day car especially if you got it cheap & don't mind if something goes wrong. Really interested to see what you do with it still even though I'm not really a fan of these, ...prefer the classic Subarus & hawkeyes.
  6. Personally I'd say you really need to take a test drive in a 350 to truly appreciate it & see how you think it compares to your TT. If you go to a dealership then I see no problem in "test driving" potential cars even if you're not necessarily 100% on whether you will buy it or not. Also depending on your budget it would probably be best to try & drive both a DE Zed and the HR Zed if you can, ..obviously providing your budget can stretch to the latter.
  7. Never realised Andy had changed his name to Dan!! You know I could just edit all my posts & your posts so that it's as if I never made that mistake.... ..but maybe Dan is right?!
  8. Great news bud. You know what I want though I'm sure, ...some engine bay pics please when you can.
  9. When my sister was young my parents bought here a Tuba as she learnt how to play it in school. Was so funny I always thought because the case she had to carry it in was bigger than her at the time. My sisters all grown up now and needless to say she isn't in a brass band or doing anything earning money with the Tuba but still was nice that my parents could afford to allow her to follow that dream at the time. Fair play Andy for doing that for her.
  10. Thought I'd pic whore a bit. My vote goes for Ferodo DS2500 pads, EBC Turbo Groove discs with Goodridge s/s braided brake lines & Motul RBF600 brake fluid. Was a great fast road set up imo. Worked well from cold, worked fine for me on a track day with my 436Bhp Zed and wasn't noisy or too dusty either.
  11. No idea but when you find out how Caroline managed this sorcery I want to know so I can do it on our redundant Samsung 21" TV in our kitchen.
  12. Was nice I'd agree with that. I actually really liked the colour of the RS3 in the video.
  13. I like it and the TVR can definitely pull it off, ...that colour on a Fiesta would look daft but on a TVR I think it's pretty nice.
  14. I believe you. From what I've read it's to do with the heat treatment process which because of the high temperature involved with powder coating it effects the aluminium alloy and makes it more brittle & prone to cracking.
  15. Looks very nice indeed Leosille, ...lovely interior on that too.
  16. Perry it's your car so buy whichever kit you like the best imo. As Jetpilot said though be wary about your budget for fitting/prepping & painting though as most aftermarket kits will need a fair amount of work to get them fitting nicely. If you haven't already I'd be going round local bodyshops to see about getting some quotes for the fitting & painting. Good luck with your decision.
