  1. Ian I would get a PS3 - they are very cheap and it would also serve as a Blu ray Player and has a hard drive so you can make it into a mini media centre Game cost peanuts at the moment !
  2. Make sure your vehicle is up to date with service/all fluids - diff oils/ tyres etc then see how much you have left for mods. May sound boring but pointless having a great looking car with a neglected maintainence schedule. My first mods were Uprev and Full LED bulb swap out
  3. Welcome - life as you know is over - Zeditus starts now!
  4. House prices in our area have dipped now are strengthening again but its the same sorry story that basically we have a population greater than the standard accommodation methods can provide therefore a need is continually generated. The only way to address this is reduce the population or build more houses. With economic migration in full flow its just adds to the problems and this is not a UKIP rant but I do feel that the UK cannot currently cope with its population and a period of stability is required. I also know there are lots of vacant/empty property's in the UK and these should be utilised. Being overseas for the last 4 years, I have noticed the difference in the UK and when comparing it to other countries we are more congested/longer queues/ and services that we took for granted are now no longer set in stone. The rental costs for my last apartment was £4250 per month mainly as there was a huge project ongoing and the expats needed housing so companies would pay the going rate. Here Government cannot afford to build and areas have their own micro economy and selling of social housing may be coming back to bite. If any product is in demand is will attract a greater premium - houses included. The only way to combat that is to move to a cheaper area where you get more bang for your buck or increase your income to parity within the local area that needed to support the going rate for property. A lot of people would love to live in Beverly Hills, and we all could, we just need to have the finances and the will to do it.
  5. Or just forget the bright idea and stay put Simples
  6. Spotted Gun metal outside South Wootton Chippy !! Kings Lynn Last night about 19:30
  7. Call for the outgoing pilot before berthing haha!
  8. Half day on the 24/12 Manning the office 29 >> 31 although flexi hours then fly to Singapore for 12 nights for a belated Christmas !
  9. Yep S Class Vessels are on the North Asia Trade Lane so China/Japan down to NZ and back through the Islands -we had 6 new builds added to the fleet last year - I took that pic off the coast of Lae in PNG last year
  10. I have a few of these so depends what it is you want to. The reason I have a few is they all do different things based on what activity I am doing (Triathlon based) so heres my thoughts Polar HRM - OK this is more for the gym and is a chest band that your wear when exercising - I use this for heart rate zones in spin classes and outdoors road cycling - I seldom use it for running as I hate running!. The reading are sent to an iphone app and you can crunch the data as you see fit - More for the serious fitness training crowd Withings Pulse - Tiny little data collector you can wear on belts, in pockets on in a purpose built strap. I use this for Hill walking - records steps/Altitude/Calories/distance plus will also monitor your sleep. Very easy to lose - am on my second one after a drunken night in Vegas. Also syncs with the Withings scales which monitor weight/BMI straight to the app. Unfortunately washing it is very easily done and mine was washed then tumble dried and still works although lost the use of the touch screen. Misfit Flash. - Use this for Swimming/Spin classes. Waterproof, registers progress by lighting LEDS and and syncs with app. A bit different to the Withings pulse as you set yourself a goal in points rather than calories or distance like the pulse. Far more of a community feel and you set your own leaderboard with friends and try to out do them etc. Can be worn with the clasp or on the wrist. Ladies also have a necklace option. The Flash is a plastic version of the Misfit Shine which looks a bit classier but more expensive. This is the fun option and I must admit do love it. Hope that helps and I'm 51 next month so still fairly active!!!
  11. We have a few of these in the Garage
  12. Being an exiled local a drive on the A470 over the Beacons to Brecon is pretty good then A40 head to Tal-y-Bont and take the minor road that takes you passed the reservoirs (Tal-y-Bont/Ponsticill) then Head of the Valleys up to the B4560 and head over the top to Llangynidir - and that very narrow bridge - then you are back on the A40 so can head for Abergavenny or Llangorse and onto Hay-on Wye for lunch. Afternoon head to Painscastle then hit the roads over Eppynt to Hundred House and then you are on your own!
  13. I prefer the more subtle "I see dead people ". Written on the bathroom mirrors in soap so invisible. Wait for the the first shower and then the screaming begins
  14. Yep and given my current mood if I found the DHL Man I know where I would set them off!
  15. For getting me an unplanned trip to Paris tomorrow. Highlights are getting up at 04:30 to catch the train followed by an hour at Gare du Nord before heading back immediately to North Norfolk for the office party grrrrrrrrrr And they still can't locate the documents they collected yesterday.
  16. On a related matter - when I was last in Australia, Channel 9 did a piece on Indian based call centres and the tactics they use and they are trained to maximise sales efforts after 5 o'clock on a Friday as the instructors told them most Aussies are off their face by then and will agree to anything!
  17. Yep the strip is fixed to the rear and uncoils as the door opens so to close it you need the button/catch the default setting if you like would be door always open due to the tension being applied by the strip
  18. Should look like this ? See the strip ? Had a similar issue with mine and in the end left it together and sent it to Aquagraphix and Dave very kindly did the work for me no extra charge to get the lid dipped
  19. I got a 1:18 Gun metal for £12 a few months ago mint condition never out the box - Looks as though that was a pretty keen price
  20. Is there a thin cooper strip that runs along the centre of the frame and uncoils there ? That what pulls the housing door back could be the likely issue
  21. +1 on the change in drivers reactions since the body kit went on. Everyone wants to race you. I gain amusement when they edge forward at dual carriage way traffic lights then zoom off thinking they have smoked me me then look in the rear view mirror looking for the sprint that never happened. I have got this car looking/sounding just how I want it and some dweeb in a Audi with one working headlight is not going to make me risk doing anything crazy.
  22. Annie - More time on your hands ? You can do some Wales 2015 stuff for me haha! Keep you out of trouble with other forums
  23. More of a Meccano man myself with the added bonus of not as painful to the bare foot as a piece of lego !
