  1. Reddit is used by 350z owners from all walks of life just like this forum, I don't see the issue ....but regardless I'm happy with how the car handles now. I was refering to how it will be effected by lowering it with just springs as I do plan adding some decent power. I've been quoted £5200 for all the parts to fit a vortech supercharger kit from a trader on here, plus I've sourced a quite few used parts from a member on here. I've spoke to Horsham who said they can fit it plus the other mods such as a spacer, high flow cats, tune etc. I'm just waiting for a quote back. Just the spacer, uprev tune, high flow cats, filter for £1200 or whatever is worth it for the extra 20-30 bhp plus lower end torque, that's pretty decent for the price. What madmikester said makes most sense if I add a supercharger and track it. (Big dreams )
  2. I been reading up here http://www.reddit.com/r/350z/comments/1f5x14/looking_for_a_mild_drop_springs_or_coilovers/ They say it would affect the chamber and other stuff if I use lowering springs on standard suspension, I do plan on track days so this could be an issue when pushing the car. I'm going to have put this lower on my mod list, I want to improve the power first and I can't afford to do both at the same time.
  3. I think because I do want to track my car. It might be best to keep my 18s for now and then get a full suspension set up with 19s in the future when I can afford to do it right.
  4. But they cost twice as much, are they much better? If so, how? I thought because Cougar store stock Apex and they have decent reviews on the net, they'd be ok.
  5. Would these lowering springs be any good? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Apex-Lowering-Springs-for-NISSAN-350-Z-/170915052976 If I get 19s, I'll get it dropped by 30mm. I'll just have to do 1mph down my street, sod the car behind
  6. I get what you're saying. The need to lower the car is the same for 18s or 19s. It's just that judging from that one image, and only that one image, logic and circumferences be damned I would be a less lot happy with that look than my current look on 18s.
  7. Wouldn't the have to be parking down a hill to make front look lower? Gravity
  8. I know it should be same. If it looks like the image below, I'm happy but that other image, not happy with that. Those 2 images are not the same, the gap is bigger on the other one. They're not the same gap regardless. Does anyone else have side on pictures of 19s on a non lowered car so i can compare?, I'm can't lower mine, too many speed bumps on the road I live on.
  9. Yes, I was ready to place my order then I saw that picture
  10. No one has ever said to me, nor did I think of a standard Z. Look at the image below, that's not how a standard Z sits on rays. Nothing to be confused about. Do you think it could have thinner tyres than 35s?
  11. W It could be the thinner tyre that makes the gap more pronounced. I'm just going by what I see. It looks fine with 18s and the thicker tyre on. I never thought, it needs lowering. It would look better lower, but it dont jump out at you. Then that 1st image with 19s rotas on non lowered car and every reply including the owner was 'it needs lowering' and it does.
  12. Both of these are not lowered but the back end is so different, how so? 1:http://imgur.com/b1M08Lq 2: http://imgur.com/Qka43ZW EDIT: Why aren't allowed to use the image attachments? Says I don't have permission, that makes sense
  13. Wierd, looks lower than some of the lowered cars and no where near as high as that one photo. Still not risking it, mine will be high back just like thaat other non lowered Z, I know it.
  14. Actually, I never noticed the back was loads higher than the front with my 18s on, same circumference or not. It don't look like that picture, that's for sure.
  15. I can't avoid speed bumps. My road is full of them! Seems like there are too many cons to having 19s versus one pro of it looking better. I'll have to stick with Rays but I guess that will easier to accept when driving down a bumpy road with speed bumps
  16. Actually after looking at the non lowered picture, I would need it lowered, especially at the back. How much is it to lower it? I may just stick with my rays and get them reconned
  17. Yeah, i'm not planning on lowering it, the speed bumps are bad enough as it is.
  18. Thanks those look nice. If possible, could you give me a price for Rota torque drifts with a good brand of tyres please?
  19. Thanks. I've found some Rotas I like so no need for spacers. I'm just concerned about needing to lower the car, anyone got pictures of 19s on a non lowered Z?
  20. The alloys I like need spacers (25mm front) (20mm rears). Will it need lowering to look right? I would like to use my car on a track day now and again, are decent spacers safe to use? Thanks for reading
  21. Thanks! All done. Just got to put it back together.
  22. Cheers, I just did it and it works. Did you tap into the sidelight wire behind the bulb fixture?
  23. I think I know what you mean, did it have 2 wires?
  24. Thanks, is that the wire that plugs into the little socket at the back of the engine? The one with 2 wires going into it?
  25. I'm wiring in some DRLs but need to tap into an ignition live. I've tried the fuse box by the battery but they all are permanent. Is the only place to feed a wire through from behind the stereo?
