  1. I brought some bosh injectors and a GT uprev maf for a good price from a member on here. I plan to go FI in the future but this wont be for at least 6 long months In the meantime I'm going to Hdevs for a high flow cats, spacer, filter and uprev tune in a couple of weeks. If I were to add the injectors and/or GT MAF before the tune, would it add any power or improvements? Thanks
  2. Lets just say it doesn't appear in my library
  3. I miss my RX8. It weren't that fast but it handled amazing and the engine is uniquely smooth in the way it drives. It just sounds better the more it's revved right until it makes it's beep sound when it's time to change gear.
  4. I think you just get used to the power no matter what. At first the Z felt really fast to me coming from the 192 RX8, that lasted about 2 journeys and it feels slow
  5. Just a supercharger or turbo to the Z if you want to go faster in a straight line and even the playing field with these modern hot hatches. We're lucky to have that option, for the RX8, there's no reliable FI options whatsoever even if you're prepared to spend £15k.
  6. So I moved the pedal down further, adjusted the sensor all the way out and even had to stick a piece of rubber on still to activate the cruise control. The pedal is now much lower than the brake, probably level with the accelerator. It doesn't come out far enough for the spring to reach it's pivot point to I no longer have the 'thud' issue. It's almost perfect but I have jolted a couple of times changing into 2nd and I have to put my foot more firmly on the pedal else it sometimes wont go into gear. Other than that it's great, quick shifting is really smooth and fast at speed and high revs. Just need to see if I can get used to bringing my foot up really slow when in the lower gear changes to stop it jolting. I can always adjust the pedal a bit higher. I'll see how I get on but loving the change regardless.
  7. My thoughts. I shall paint one, see if it sets off my OCD and then do the other if needed.
  8. Yeah, as long as I'm getting the best price I can. £400 is fine, I remember paying £1000 for a 10 month policy on my first car which was a 1.4 Civic. Also that was 15 years ago, I had no money and a £1000 was worth a lot more than it is today.
  9. Good idea, I was only going to spray one. I shall go to the paint shop. Thanks for the offer Randy but luckily have a spare car and I keep the Z on a gated drive and will disconnect the battery overnight whilst they dry.
  10. My only gripe with it now is that the clutch flicks a bit when it reaches the top when I pull off and makes a bit of thud. When I move it by hand I can see it's happening when the spring stops contracting and then starts to pivot at it's base, then the clutch hits the stop which makes the thud sound I hear. Can I remove the spring? If so, is there a DIY? I can't see how to remove the bolts that hold it in. If I can't remove the spring, should I adjust the pedal up or down further?
  11. My drivers door handle has a few scratches on it so I'd like to remove it a repaint it. I wanted to keep it same silver, does anyone know the code of the paint or a shade that matches? Thanks
  12. Yes, also wanted over £500.
  13. Sky wanted about the same, £560ish.
  14. Yeah I agree, LEDs are one of the best bang for your buck when it comes to visual mods. I've done the boot & side lights. Still got to do the others and add in some footwell lights if it's not too hard to access the correct wires.
  15. Oh, and it's much nicer to drive! Thanks for this DIY.
  16. That was much easier with the right tools. I still found the lock nut quite hard to budge but with my stubby spanner I was able to get plenty of torque and get it in one. I found the sliver spindle thing easy to move. You can only move it a bit a time but mine moved without much effort compared to locking nut. I used vise-grip pliers, sure they helped.
  17. Yes I gave them a call. £560 was the best price. Can't seem to beat the first quote I got. Will be paying £690 for 2 cars. I also have a Passat 1.9TDi estate.
  18. Good idea as it will only be good playing it one time I suppose. It's addictive though, never jumped so many times and had so much adrenaline from a computer game. Really enjoying the story too. The scenery is spot on.
  19. I've been playing Alien Isolation last couple of days. I loved the movies as a kid and the game really captures the same sort of atmosphere. It's scary, fun and looks so pretty!
  20. I shall just live in the Z. I have it all figured out, sleep in the passenger seat and store some clothes and toothbrush in the boot. I won't be stuck for entertainment, I've got H+ internet, DVDs, and multiple screens to keep me occupied. I did have to sell my 50 inch TV to fund it but I won't need that anymore anyway This is the stereo, and my phones on brodit holders. I used decent phone holder magnets to stick the devices including the sat nav remote so I can just throw them on and they don't budge whilst driving.
  21. Thanks! Like a beautiful woman, the Z can wear almost anything and still look good I have to confess, I glued the bits on rather than mess about drilling holes
  22. The cheapest I'm getting is £400 with Admiral. I'm 33, 10 years NCB, clean licence and live in a decent area. Not sure if it's good or not, doesn't seem great compared to what others are saying but I couldn't get a better price anywhere.
