  1. Might be from a WW2 German Schnellboot or motor torpedo boat. These were powered by 3 Maybach Mercedes V20 diesel engines which could propel the 100 ton boat up to speeds of 44 knots 50mph https://www.warhistoryonline.com/living-history/german/german-s130-schnellboot
  2. Great sunset shots of the Cayman ...beautiful!
  3. You need to get a known good battery for starters (pardon the pun) What condition/age are both batteries? If the voltage dips below 10 volts under load then I would say the battery is knackered. Although checking voltages is only an indication, I would measure with a multimeter and not rely on the cars gauges. First thing then is to try a new, or known good battery imo before turning your attention towards the starter.
  4. Usually if this happens the battery is on the way out Did you jump it from your dads car with its engine running? How did the RAC guy test the battery. Did he do a load test on it?

  7. Par for the course I'm afraid Mr Andrew sir. Try and exercise a modicom of patience dear fellow ha ha! You may get connected before the due date, you never know. When we moved from Tiscali back to BT, they were very swift and the changeover went like a dream.

  9. The meets around here are few and far between I'm afraid
  10. Quite happy to buy from someone who did their own servicing, providing they had all the receipts for the parts used. Would never trust a monkey doing the work at a main stealer, even though it has a stamp. Worthless in my book...I've been there before!
  11. Its probably an influx of holidaymakers from a far away land...England
  12. In Dickys case then... it may overwind!
  13. I've bought a few in the past that have always ended up in a drawer after 6 months with something broken. They look great while they're working, but I'd rather spend my £80 on something half decent with a guarantee. If you have a weakness in that direction, then you're gonna be stuffed! So much temptation ha ha! Its your money...waste it how you like.
  14. The JDM will be thinking....."FFS not another tsunami !!!"
  15. Then there's a good chance it was your old Zed going like a bat out of hell. The driver sounds like he's inherited some of the maniacal traits from its previous owner
  16. Welcome Gashead, good luck with the search

Most of our house is furnished with OakFurnitureLand products, from wardrobes, dining/coffee tables, chests of drawers etc, etc. We find them good value for money and the service is excellent, especially out here in the sticks. Would recommend them to anyone. Wait for the sales to buy if poss.
