As I understand the thermostat is critical to the boiler firing up, sounds like the thermostat got damaged when the dial got knocked off -
+1, got them on mine, supplied with the car brand new in July when I didn't know any better, they are completely and utterly pants in the wet, get rid, I am, tomorrow
