  1. No wonder you had those dodgy shades on
  2. UPDATE Well today, I had my anti roll bars fitted and what a difference!!! The car feels much more solid and confident in corners with no detriment to the overall ride quality at all, turning in is now superb and somehow feels more accurate. I've had both the front and the rear set at the intermediate setting and this seems ideal for road use as far as I can tell so far, It was suggested that I may experience slight understeer (which can be adjusted out) but this was not the case. I've also found that I can push the car a lot harder before the TC activates in tight bends. All in all money well spent IMHO. Thanks to Mark at Abbey as usual for a cracking deal I'm considering installing a "short shift" and anti roll bars (Eibach or Stillen probably but am open to suggestions) on my 54 GT Coupe but I won't be doing any other mods! I'd appreciate feed back from any one who has done either of these mods and if so which make of products did you use, and most important were you happy or not so happy with your choice? I don't intend to go tracking although I do have a "one on one" day at CAT Driver Training to book and want to make the most of it and at the same time give me some benefit for normal road use. I have a Milltek exhaust fitted so will the sway bars be ok for clearance with this as the only info I can find refers to stock exhaust? Thanks for looking and thanks for your help
  3. Like that a lot mate
  4. Done that before to rescue various bolts from the under tray
  5. Thanks mate, look forward to it Glad I didn't dream it i'm happy to supply the material if people want it. but i don't think i want to get to involved in the wrapping, as i want to focus more on my Hydrographics, and thats seems to have got sidelined at the moment with all the vinyl work its in the pipe line, the hydro graphics has got sidelined for a little bit, but some new things from me are due out soon. i suppose its the problem with having a day job as well as 2nd job.
  6. Been running the car for 3 days now since it all went back together and no problems to report with original TB gasket

If I did just ignore my bank holiday ramblings i'm happy to supply the material if people want it. but i don't think i want to get to involved in the wrapping, as i want to focus more on my Hydrographics, and thats seems to have got sidelined at the moment with all the vinyl work
  10. Way to go Zeds, dare I ask who was fastest?
  11. Thanks guys Ricey, you should have a go, I'm no expert and it took a bit of research and some practice but I seemed to get the hang of it........eventually. The secret is spray a little at a time, better to have more light coats than "toshing" it on I could have taken the bits to a spray shop and no doubt the finish would have been better but like you said I enjoyed doing it myself Go on you know you want to
  12. PM Darren B, I think he knows a thing or two
  13. Yep, did mine this morning and within an hour, yellow greeny layer Flicked it off with a clean towel and put her straight back in the gararge, at least it'll be clean if I go out tomorrow

  15. Well it's taken some time to get to this and it's not a patch on Shire's whose car was my inspiration when I saw it at Wales last September but I'm quite pleased with it Finally got it all back together today, there are a couple of little niggles that I need to sort out but if you can't see them I ain't telling I did all the paintwork using aerosol paint with the exception of the Plenum and the Strut Bar which were done by a company I found in West Sussex, very helpful and very reasonable too Thanks to madmarky for his Throttle Body painting guide, Plastikote radiator paint works a treat. Special thanks to Wasso who got me out of a hole with a replacement engine cover in double quick time and all sorted out while I was on Honeymoon Spursmaddave, your blue pipes look great The earthing kit I made myself, don't know if it made any difference but it's blue and I like it Here are a few pix starting with the only old engine bay picky I could find, this was November last year, thanks for looking
  16. Congrats to both of you and every happiness for the future
