UPDATE 200811 What a difference!!! Fitted the K&N panel filter today and took her out for a blast. Hadn't driven it since putting the velocity stack in as was waiting for the gasket gel to go off, so much smoother and responsive and certainly feels like more power, it will be interesting to see what the results are on the dyno. So in conclusion, low intake pipe, Nissan air box , velocity stack and K&N panel filter = a very nice balance between power and subtle intake growl. I'm a happy bunny

That's fine Dave but this together with the way that you were brought back hasn't covered the forum in glory has it? I asked the question several days ago "Why was no official announcement made", Ricey happened to notice and the response given was something like "oh well it happened when the riots were going on and perhaps you didn't notice", another moderator also stated that "it looks like you guys have made the announcement". That really isn't acceptable and now it could look to some as if it was an "under the table manoeuvre" of some kind. I tend to believe it wasn't but the whole thing is clouded in shabbiness now because of the poor way in which it was handled IMHO buy the team. Sorry guys but that's my opinion. I NEVER ONCE LOCKED OR UNLOCKED THE THREAD! Would you care to name the many people i wind up on here? May be i should start a thread asking that very question? UPDATE 190811 Well went and did it, sprayed the airbox silver and fitted it today after installing biscuit boys velocity stack, the car already felt smoother having done away with the K & N Typhoon filter and air box. For those interested, I run Scanguage II on my Zed and in slow traffic I have seen air intake temps of 170F with the typhoon. I recently went up to Ipswich to see Rich and got stuck in traffic on the A12 southbound for about 3 .4 miles doing no more than 10 mph, air intake temp never got above 110F. Just goes to show that the original Nissan airbox is quite effective with regard to air temp, mind you I have maintained the K & N air scoop at the grille so that may have helped. The velocity stack seems to have added a nicer intake note too, got a K & N panel filter coming and will report further findings later.

I'm afraid that smacks of someone looking to ban two people, I don't know what they did/said but it has an air of pre intended inevitability about it

Lee might well be a stand up guy and I know some of you have a lot of time for him but on two occasions I have PM'd him I have had problems. The first time was in my early days on here, so probably Autumn last year, after not receiving a reply for days I posted a thread saying something like "Anyone heard from R35 Lee?" I was subsequently bombarded by the "R35 Lee Appreciation Society" telling me what a busy guy he was and he's a great bloke, blimey all I did was ask if anyone had heard from him The second time was regarding some auto window switches, to this day I have not had a reply. On a third occasion I was successful and Matt Bowey kindly helped out organised the part for Wales. My points are thus:- If you want to help people help them If you are too busy then tell people you can't as no response only leads to frustration, it's like sitiing on a broken down train and the guard not telling you anything. I think it might have been a good idea, recently, to have said something like "I'm not going to be around for a while because of pressures of work guys". Fair enough, no problem, but I suspect Lee didn't want to be seen to be letting people down. I think one of the biggest problems is that this Fourm is quite unique in the way it helps others so quickly, so when "normal service" is not offered then people will complain. This is not a snipe at Lee but merely my real experiences and for what it's worth I hope it helps. May peace prevail. I can definitely vouch for that..God knows how many times Lee have done that for me in the past i remembered he help me sort out my BOSE head unit(after i had f**ked up the ipod tape deck mod) in the rain on his driveway one evening and didn't even charged me for hours of labour.
