  1. If it's looks and noise then go for it As you say the difference is not discernible on a 300hp car, to be honest my slight hp gain was a bonus but after I put the original air box back in and sprayed it it looked much better than the K & N box IMHO viewtopic.php?f=26&t=55779 Why ? was thinking of getting one Fitment issues aside , was the power loss noticeable ? i only wanted it for the looks and noise and on a near 300hp car i can let a couple drop off
  2. Sorry mate, I missed this post. The main problem is heat soak, there's a thread on here somewhere that discusses the whole thing. With the K & N box I was seeing really high air intake temperatures (low is good) and the box needed modification to avoid rubbing against wiring loom, I think others had to mod too. In the end I removed the K & N box, modified the K & N upper pipe and refitted the standard airbox with rt biscuits velocity stack mod, I also kept the K & N scoop and lower pipe. Now the air intake temp is considerably improved, better hp was achieved also at remap. In the end it's noise versus hp, oh and looks too Why ? was thinking of getting one
  3. I understand your concerns and have been through this twice. Emotions will run high and that is understandable but rmg has offered some very sensible advice and you really have to find out as much as you can about them so that you can be well equipped and ready to turn your, as yet, unfounded fears into positivity. Yes, I agree, it all may seem uncertain at the moment but by the same token YOU may be invaluable to the the new company which is why it makes sense to follow rmg's advice quietly and individually find out as much as you can about them. Hope it all works out for you buddy

  6. Be really interested to see that What colour and how you doing it? Black at the moment , im tempted with blue though since it seems to be a bit more glossy than the matte black option Just spraying it on the wheels , you can buy cans of the stuff and apply a few coats using about 3 cans per set of wheels with about 3 coats of stuff, then when your done with it just peel it all off. Im doing it as i always wanted black wheels and for £10 a can cant complain.
