  1. I may be completely wrong, but could it just be that your aircon is set to 'auto'? From my memory of the 350 system, every time you hold down the aircon 'auto' button for 2 seconds it toggles between auto and manual. Apologies if you already knew this and it's not the answer. Alternatively, if you weren't aware of it, it may be worth trying before you spend money.
  2. You're doing yourself a dis-service thinking it's 'all about the destruction of the United Kingdom', it's about a countries ability to self determine, not harm another country, why would you think that? So, by ignoring the question are you saying that you don't know why I'm disenfranchised? Currently we are both citizens of the United Kingdom. If a resident of the county of Scotland is getting a vote, why am I, a resident of the county of Hertfordshire, not getting one too? I genuinely don't get it. To answer my own question, I think it's because our weak, stupid Tory/Coalition government has allowed it to happen. ...and to respond to your point, you call it self determination, I call it dismantling.
  3. Interesting that the poll on this forum is an excellent match for the national opinion polls (I'm only looking at the Scots' votes - the lucky individuals who are actually entitled to vote). ...which leads me to ask a question which has probably been asked already - As this is all about the destruction of the United Kingdom as we know it, why am I, an Englishman, not enfranchised? Can someone please explain it to me? I'm surprised it hasn't been tested as a human rights issue.
  4. The English will never do this mate, sad I know See what I mean?
  5. I've had enough of this boring rubbish. Let's just pray that they bugger off and leave us alone.
  6. As a parent with a 10 month old baby, ive only just started using the parent & child spaces and I soon realised that about 60% of people parking in them do not have any children with them and just use them because usually closer to the store. Its infuriating trying to get a baby, pram and all the gear out in an ordinary space just because some selfish so & so has parked in a parent & child space. I'll take your anger and carry on doing it.
  7. BTW, dogs hate me too, it's a mutual agreement we have. They hate me too.
  8. Anyway, back to the tortoise - How is the little fella? Fingers crossed he's doing well.
  9. You're entitled to your opinion, but I'd think twice about saying it to his face I actually disagree with you, but it would be a dull world if we all agreed.
  10. Ooooer - Hope this doesn't end up in yet another Scottish Civil War
  11. Well done to Ponsonby junior - nice editing. The boy done good.
  12. My daughter's getting ready to sell her 'R' reg MX5 - the headlamps were yellow with crud. All I needed to do was give my son-in-law a bit of Brasso and tell him to rub. 10 minutes later - 2 'brand new' headlamps. He has his uses, as my mother-in-law used to say. Edit - I could have made a better job of it myself, but I was getting pi**ed off with him standing behind me watching, like it was a free show.
  13. I have a friend His neighbour had a really yappy dog. It barked all day and it barked all night. My friend asked his neighbour several times if he could stop his dog from being so noisy, because it was disturbing his family and keeping people awake all night. The dog kept yapping. One day my friend put the dog in his car and took it to Luton, which is quite a long way away. There, he released the dog, which went away yapping. Problem solved and no harm done to the dog. Of course, I'm not suggesting that this would be a good idea in your case.
  14. Top tip - don't announce to the whole online world that you're going away for 2 weeks in the near future. Ooops, too late. Personally I'd disconnect the battery if you can put it in a garage. I didn't do this and my battery was flat as a pancake when I came back last week after a fortnight away.
  15. I've had a camera like this one for the past few months Andy - CLICK HERE Can't recommend it highly enough. It would have been perfect for your incident - crystal clear capture of numberplates - and it just works automatically whenever you drive the car. I've been lucky enough to have only had 'near misses' so far, but it's only a matter of time before I encounter a bad driver like yours. I had to return the first one, but the replacement works perfectly.
  16. Cheap and effective solution - Keep one of these in the car...
  17. 1. How many other penis-numberpate threads have you started elsewhere? Is it a hobby or an obssession? 2. So, having read all the helpful advice that people have taken the time and trouble to offer you, for which you are clearly so grateful, what are you going to do about your small 'penis' problem? 1) this is my first and last penis post! 2) I am toying with the advice of either a) dealing with it, selling it, or c) turning my 350z into a giant penis. All of these have been suggested, and carry equal weighting in terms of their ability to deal with the scenario Well, to be fair, you presented an impossible problem. You can't change the numberplate you've bought, so I reckon you should choose option 3 and turn your Z into a giant penis. Sunset Orange is an excellent base colour, so you're off to a good start. I'll help you if you're in the North London area.
  18. Strange coincidence - I'm watching Wayne Rooney on Match of the Day and thinking, 'What a dick'.

  20. I try to wait until it's late before I go to supermarkets, then I use the parent & child spaces. I hate the standard spaces. They really stress me out. My current car is 4 years old and has no dinks. That's how I want it to stay. Gary Lineker's new hairdo looks a bit daft.
  21. ...or change your car to fit the plate... CLICK HERE
  22. Trying to be serious and helpful for a minute, why not try mounting the plates upside down, then it would read SINEd. If you get pulled by the fuzz, just blame it on the garage and say you didn't notice. Problem solved.
  23. So sorry to hear about this. Hope the little tortoise pulls through ok. Report the dog owner - it's the only (legal) thing he'll understand.
  24. Can't see anything noteworthy in that pic. The white lines are to help you centre your vehicle, aren't they? If I was being picky I'd say you're very slightly off, to the right mate.
