  1. Yes - so sorry about the sad news Pete. Sounds like she was a lovely puss. Brings back memories of our rescue cat - part of her remained very wild, but she was lovely nonetheless. Thanks also for all the nice replies about William & Lulu guys - you've also got lovely cats! I love that latest pic of Aidan's cat - he's a real mean muva@@%kin muva@$@£kker. ...and yes, it's courgettes in the picture!!!!! Courgettes = totally reliable veg, but not especially interesting to eat. Here's a pic of W & L just one year ago when they were little kittens - don't they grow quickly!...
  2. Wouldnt be the first time lmao! I think chubbs should do the custard test Who's chubbs? ...and what's the custard test? I did meet Val once - 2004, at Rockingham, at a meet of the other forum. He was with his girlfriend and he was actually really nice to me (I was a newbie). I remember we covered his car with red & white barrier tape before we left, just to be nice. Got a pic of it somewhere.
  3. I pre-date the forum too! I was born in '89 and I don't think the forum was started until at least 2002/03 started offline in december 2005 Aaah yes -I remember it well. As someone who has re-emerged after several years, let me tell you that this forum has become an excellent place - but you probably know that already. It's a credit to those people who stuck with it and built it. Well done you people.
  4. No I have a GT - just my wheels are nismo LMGT4's, hence the sig pic. Actually, I've had the car for a couple of years now (it's done about 23k miles) and the exhaust note seems to be loosening up a bit - just like the 350z's used to (but the 350's were starting from a much better sound in the first place, of course). These days I can definitely get a tiny little growl out of it if I try hard enough. Maybe it's rusting through already
  5. Sorry about this ridiculous thread, everyone. No excuses, but there was a rather large surfeit of Pino Grigio coursing through the veins last night. Please feel free to keep creating topics with the most vague, unhelpful or ridiculous titles - I actually don't give a monkey's now that I'm sober. And whatever your opinion of Val - don't forget that he single-handedly founded this place (probably after a few glasses of plonk too). Without him this place wouldn't exist. Personally I'd erect a statue to the guy - any thoughts as to where it should be sited? Edit - As for WhackyWill, all I can say is...
  6. What he said. wtf is going on here? Why are the back ones that size ffs?
  7. lol - and he had a blue Zed too. Lost me now...... How can you not remember Val? Its a shame most of the old school members don't come here very often (except me & Sarnie who are never leaving ) Aaah Sarnie - and he's still buying cars Edit - This place has changed out of all recognition Yep, still here and not going anywhere And Val was a prize cu nt. I agree and disagree with your main point though. To frequent posters, when someone posts something with an obscure title, it's probably relative to another topic or thread recently discussed and anyone party to it would probably know what the new thread was in relation to. Although to the outsider, it obviously means nothing..... I'm sure if you stick around long enough again, you'll get over it lol - nice to see you haven't changed a bit! Might stick around, might not, who knows

  9. lol - I've been a member for 2 weeks, but I pre-date the forum. Anyone still remember Valerio lol? Val was a little before me, but his presence lived on for a little while Yes - it did lol.
  10. Thanks for the appreciation mate - If you tell us roughly where you are there may be someone local to you who would be prepared to come along if you want help when looking at a Zed. If you're local to me I'd be more than happy to give you some help, because I can see you're keen. I'm in Herts. Anyway - I wish you luck.
  11. You're absolutely right - I hadn't thought of it like that. Thank you. ...but don't you hate it when the title's meaningless?
  12. lol - I've been a member for 2 weeks, but I pre-date the forum. Anyone still remember Valerio lol?
  13. Look mate - it sounds like you're a bit young (not trying to be rude) and you're very worried about spending £5k on a car you've not seen and you're a bit dubious about. SO YOU SHOULD BE!!!!! Never - I repeat NEVER offer to buy a car you haven't checked out personally. £5k may be a lot of money for you. I reckon the seller is being quite adult about the whole thing. He's taking your hesitancy on board and saying, "Ok, I'll sell it to someone else then." Can I suggest that you cancel as soon as you can and try to find a Zed that you can go and see BEFORE making an offer. I completely understand your impatience - I'm like it myself - but, as other people have said. there are plenty of other Zeds out there and one will come up soon. If you really can't wait for a new set of wheels then just get something to see you by until the right Zed comes along. They are worth waiting for because they're such beautiful cars. Cancel and let this bloke sell to someone else.
  14. ...and then there's Zed Neck. ...you know - you get out of the car, you lock it, you walk away and THEN YOU JUST HAVE TO TURN AROUND TO LOOK AT IT. Sometimes you even pretend you forgot whether you locked it or not and turn to press the key fob again. You know bl&&dy well you locked it, but you just need to look at it from THAT PARTICULAR NEW ANGLE. If you do that - you've got Zed Neck - There is no known cure.
  15. Ok, I'm a fussy *!@*$£@ - and I know it, ...but it bugs me when people create meaningless thread titles, such as, "I Did It!", or "Here's A Good One!". You did WHAT??? You've got a good WHAT??? ffs Personally, I usually don't even bother to click on a title if it's meaningless or vague. I know I might possibly miss something interesting, useful or even important to me, but who has time to investigate these things, just in case? Why don't some people (and thankfully it's only a few) take a couple of seconds to create a thread title that gives us a clue to what their topic is about? ...I feel just the same about work colleagues who can't even be bothered to put a subject line on their emails. Are they just a bit dim, or what? So, can I make a plea to everyone? If you're taking the time and trouble to start a new topic it must be important to you - so do yourself a favour and give it a proper title. Would you spend hours and hours making your car just right and then go out without pumping up the tyres? ...If you know what I mean. Would you buy the Daily Mail if it's headline said, "Here's One"? No, you want it to say, "Here's another one of those Scrounging Commie B@@$%^tard Scroungers Caught in the Act of Scrounging All Your Hard Earned Money Again", don't we? Fussy b!@%$d rant over ...anyone fancy joining my highly important campaign?
  16. Zeditis. What a beautiful disease. Hope you don't find a cure.
  17. Thank you for the advice - I'll do it now.
  18. Sounds like he doesn't care if you buy the car or not. Did you get anyone to do a professional mechnical check on it? If not, I'd back out - if you're unsure it's probably for a reason. Did you get in touch with the previous owner (through ebay)?
  19. that 'scrote' was giving back to society - £6+ in tax on a packet of fags and £3.36 to good causes from his £12 worth of scratch cards means that he gave about £10 us - what a nice man.
  20. I don't know about your ancestors, but mine fought wars to eradicate that sort of evil thinking. Probably won't respond to any more posts of this nature, as it's getting too disgusting.
  21. She did, like she always does - but he's built like a brick sh!thouse, so he never even notices.
  22. Well done BBK - popular topic! You've stirred up the proverbial hornet's nest. One thing I've noticed over the years is that when modern-day governments (Labour or Tory) get involved in something, they c0ck it up. I'd actually be surprised if this idea comes to anything. The person who suggested that this is an ill-conceived Daily Mail type headline grabber in advance of the Tory Party conference is absolutely right. The problem is that if they actually put this plan into practise it will be yet another smack in the teeth for those poor honest people who, through no fault of their own, are unable to work, when what they're trying to do is nobble the workshy scroungers (and I admit they do exist). The government has already slapped many disabled people about the head with the bedroom tax and driven others to distraction with their new assessments. This latest idea would only serve to pile more unhappiness on the most vulnerable, helpless and poor members of our society - but that's one thing the Tories are good at. As others have suggested, if there are jobs out there which can be funded (eg litter picking), then pay the people a proper wage (ie at least the minimum wage), as long as you can differentiate between the genuinely needy (who may be unable to do the work for one reason or another) and the workshy scrounger (who probably should do it). As for the person who posted the photo of the slaughterhouse gun - that was just cheap, obscene and not nearly as clever or funny as he thought it was.
