Finally got mine on today! The history of my purchase was got offered them second hand from someone returning their car to stock. Noticed some moisture in one of them so left it on a low heat radiator to evaporate. Somehow this seemed to attract more moisture! So I left it there for a few days and found that when the moisture had evaporated it had stripped most of the reflective coating from inside the reflector!!! I then brought a new reflector and tried to remove the LEDs from CS's one and in doing so smashed an LED. So then CS sent me another LED to solder on. Finally got there in the end though! The actual wiring is simple just connect all the black wires to one black wire and connect to a piece of metal on the frame (partially unscrew something and screw it back up and trap the wire) and connect all the red ones to one wire and connect it to the green wire via snap lock on the side lights. I think it would probably take me 90 minutes or so to turn a set around, but its not exactly enjoyable work my hands are too shaky. I could see why CS would get pretty bored of making these all the time. The hardest part I found was drilling the holes in the reflectors. But anyway thanks for the help CS. You better not make any better ones I don't want to have to take my bumper off again

what badge have you gone for on the front? there are no front pictures since you changed it
-
Its divine, but only lasts a few days.
-
The only stuff I carry is quick detailer and Stripper Scent. Everyone should carry the stripper scent.
-
I still use the monster towels but only with synthetic products, mainly for quick detailers and interior stuff.
-
Yep, NXT is garbage. Not a fan of those monster purple towels either, they are too thick and don't glide easy enough for me, if you use natural wax the extra resistance with the thick towel and natural wax can make it hard going and leave the fibres on your paint work. I've only tried the regular towels not the XL one but I've read that it doesn't dry very well, I expect thats what your going for with the XL version. They do feel nice though! I'd also go for a wash mit rather than a sponge. If your experimenting why not try waxybox? Can'y say I've ever got anything bad from them. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/68352-waxybox-my-guilty-pleasure/ The AM glaze I had in my last box is now a staple, wouldn't even have heard of them if it wasn't for waxybox.

http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/74417-windscreen-wiper-arms-respray/ Sanding them down and painting them is easy. Getting them off can be a bit of a bugger though!

At first I was like this seems to be a picture of a car in the dark, then i was oh its a video....

I'm basically in the same situation. You don't need a hose just use the 2 bucket method and carry the buckets to your car. I can park on double yellows outside my flat and as I'm always with my car the wardens aren't bothered. If the cars mega dirty I'll go to the jet wash and use the lance, but I'll take my own bucket and wash mit. Use the lance to rinse the car and fill up a bucket with the lance plus my own shampoo, the lance will agitate the shampoo into a good lather. I then use the wash mit to clean the car and give it a final rinse with the lance. Then dry it in the bay and move it somewhere close (preferably still in the garage) and apply Selant/Gloss and Wax. I wouldn't use the shampoo that comes with the jet wash, it'll probably be cheap/nasty and strip away the layers of wax on your car. If you don't want to dry/wax the car at the jet wash it'll only need a quick rinse back at yours to get rid of the water marks. A soaking wet mit will probably do. a whole car Also looking into waterless washes. I use chemical guys quick detailer and about 3 to 4 micro fibres towel to do a full waterless wash. I aim for a waterless wash at least one month and use the 2 bucket method every 2 to 3 months. I don't really use the jet wash much, unless my car has been hit by seagulls! There are a few tips in this video, but nothing you shouldn't be able to figure out yourself.

Thank you nimbus. I've ordered the touch up paint from nissan today and they should have it on Friday. I've got megs polish at home already so I'll try that, otherwise I'll try scratch x when it arrives. How long should I let the paint dry in between coats? I'll attempt this on the weekend. Ammo Drive Clean video on the subject. Some good tips.

I think they stop water getting in behind the b-pillar, I just glued mine back on with super glue. Apply a hair dryer to them and they should come off pretty easily. I also clear coated my wrap to make the carbon look a bit shiny. I wrapped a ruler and laid down masking tape a regular intervals to see how many layers of clear coat was best, think I went for 3.

How does one pay? If it's cash I'm stuck until the 21st, if you accept credit then it's no problem! -
its called a 'b-pillar'. That should help you find instructions. Its the first thing I wrapped, remember to peel off the two rubber edges before wrapping and glue them back on after. I think I had to cut mine off.

Anybody replaced the factory Satnav with a tablet?
Randy_Baton replied to EvansJD2112's topic in I.C.E & Electronics
Not seen one with out a cubby, so not sure what it looks like but I mounted a generic phone holder in my cubby. If you've just got a hole it may work. I then took the easy route to mounting a tablet, but you'd need the cubby door. I now use the mount to hold a 120g ipod classic. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/76772-mounting-a-tablet/ -
I'll send you a pm , but thought I'd show what I'm asking for as it'll save others asking! Passenger side door pull silver thing and mock leather surround Wing mirrors - only need the plastic surrounds Door handles No rush with any parts, they are for summer respray jobs.
