  1. Not for a Zed then Why not, have I made another school boy error? Can we have a thread of the month competition? I vote this one.
  2. I've been after a new plate for a while the only thing that has tickled my fancy is V6 FTL (Faster Than Light).
  3. I watched a plane do stunts for a bit then realised it was just a really big model airplane.
  4. Thats what I was worried of, I'll give them a call. MOT/Service/Insurance all due next month EDIT .... You can now check your record online at the DVLA, you just need Drivers license number, National Insurance number and postcode. Its in Beta but worked fine for me, took 30 seconds. Result = 3 points https://www.viewdriv...licence-number?
  5. I'll leave the thread up but thought I'd post this at the top. You can now check your record online at the DVLA, you just need Drivers license number, National Insurance number and postcode. Its in Beta but worked fine for me, took 30 seconds. Result = 3 points https://www.viewdriv...licence-number? ----------------------------- Coming up to renew my insurance and just thought I check that I only have 3 points I've an SP50 dated 31/08/2011 so should expire next summer. 3 points! Now the confusing bit. When I brought my car, it had private plates on it. The previous owner de-registered the plates with out telling me and it took them 4 months to get the V5 to me. During that time I set off a speed camera in Dorset. I didn't hear anything from the DVLA for a while so thought I'd avoided it. Then I was driving down the A23 into Brighton and as soon as I got in to Brighton I was pulled over by an undercover cop as my license plate had a red flag against it. There was a speeding ticket from Dorset against my plate but as it was de-registered they didn't know how to send it to. I admitted it was me in Dorset and still had some of the paper work form the car sale with me, to prove my story. I gave my details to the police who told me I needed to request a V5 myself via a V62, but they would update my details on the system and I would get a fine via the post. Fast forward 9 months and I've not received anything, so as far as I'm aware it wasn't added to my license. What do I tell the insurance company? 3 points or 6 points?
  6. Wondered why there was spitfire following me home yesterday!
  7. Space it like this? Ask Ian if he has ever had any issues.
  8. I just accept them then mark them as an acquaintance. Once marked you never see there their stuff in your stream unless they have a baby or get married or something like that.
  9. Had my clutch, flywheel and slave cylinder replaced earlier in the year by Japex so presume the clutch fluid doesn't need replacing? Thats what I was planing but want to make sure I've got everything covered.
  10. My car is a 2004 GT, brought last year with 67k on the clock. Its has a stamp to show its been serviced every year and was serviced last Sept. However I don't know what has been done. The stamp just states 32 point service. The company who serviced it say they tailor the service for the specific manufacturer/model service plan and they are not an independent So question is what should I get done, I feel like I should clean slate it. I've changed the air filter and recently had an over heat that need about 3 litres of coolant to be replaced so I was going to ignore those parts but so far my list is: Engine oil filter and oil change Brake fluid change Spark plug change Gear box and dif oil change Belt change (presuming both Aux belts ???) I know a few of you will tell me to get my hands dirty but, I don't have a drive or garage so have to work by the side of the road. I also very much a 2 steps forward 1 step back kind of guy, so something will go wrong!
  11. That was clutch, flywheel and slave + labour. Guaranteed for a year. A cheap exedy clutch will set you back £300. If you clutch is going it's a good idea to change the flywheel as well as it'll save you paying for the labour twice.
  12. I'm in Brighton and I've used Japex (Kings Langley) new clutch flywheel and slave was around. £900. Ive also heard good things about super 7 Worthing and Owens garage in Haywards heath. There's always the Z-Shed in Bournemouth.
  13. It was early, I was on my phone
  14. ASAD sells them on this forum or there are plenty on eBay. http://www.350z-uk.c...essories-sales/
  15. Needs a black roof, wing mirrors and door handles. Just like mine.
  16. If you buy me a copy of photoshop in do it for you . Was trying to get a naughty version last week, but couldn't find a download that worked
  17. 1. Pull up plastic side trim, held in by a few clips 2.Pull up rubber seal from around the bottom of the door frame 3. Unclip side wall trim - there are 2 clips they are a bit stiff, but I think there is a release inside the clip. I pushed a screwdriver inside and then levered them off against the car. The metal is covered by the door seal so its not going to do any viable damage if the screwdriver marks the car. 4. Undo the first screw you see, there are 2 screws in this general area you want the one nearest you (on the right). 5. Last screw is on the underside of the trim, sort of in line with the accelerator but facing you. There is anouther screw in the general area but its facing downwards (leave this one). I had already removed the screw in this photo, but its the hole center top. 6. Then pull! I think there are three main clips. Note, when i tried to clip the trim back in it didn't go first time, this is because the bonnet release wire had dropped under the L-shaped metal bracket that the second screw goes into. I just moved it on top and everything went back together easily. 10 minute job.
  18. Just fixed fit 10 minute job. No need for super glue! Exactly the same as the US version. I took some photos and will upload them later. thanks
  19. I'll never touch the ESP button, so once I get it back in It'll stay in as long as nothings broken. Maybe take a bit of glue with me when I take the dash off. Anyone have a guide on the lower dash removal? I can see one screw.
  20. Yes, but its been pushed right in! Previous owner must have been having a bit of fun! Next job is to take off the lower dash then.
  21. Should point out I'm not in a roadster but the left hand one is blank the middle one is missing and the right hand one looks like it could be the headlight washer. Does that mean I can turn off those dam headlight washers! Missing the middle switch, so presume its the ESP.
  22. Just realised I'm missing one of the three lower dash buttons on the driver side what do they do?
  23. Yes, it's a common problem. The search bar is there for a reason. It's easy to get off but it's covered in a rubberised coating so you can paint over the scratches but it's nearly impossible to remove them without dipping.
  24. Dunno. But that's what happened. Yep, my sister works at land rover and they had the same deal (with ford not land rover) people would buy new cars every year with the 25% discount and then sell them on. I don't think they get any deals with Land rover. Not sure if they had to keep them a year but if its not used and kept in a garage its not going to lose 25% of its value.
  25. I really like that white stripe on the car, is that a decal or paint?
