  1. Ha, well that's about 45 minutes saved next time
  2. Wouldn't layering also increase the time the finish lasts for/the amount of maintenance washes you can do before a full detail is required? I've been layering 1x glaze 2x sealant and 2 x wax.
  3. Arghhh.... I thought MPSS were being replaced with the MPS4. I just checked tyre leader and they don't have MPSS for the front only the rears. Just read back through some old threads and found the explanation http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Article/What-is-happening-to-the-Michelin-Pilot-Super-Sport.htm Also found the 10% off Asda tyres still works (enter 140 then 7 random digits). £545 from MPSS with fitting and balance. Seems decent enough
  4. You really should have a go at fixing it yourself. Being able to fix it is the opposite of being embarrassed.
  5. Good to know, I said I'd ring back to confirm. Strange thing was they said they couldn't get hold of MPS4 in the right size for the fronts. Are the sizes they've quoted correct? 225/45/18 MPS3 front £283 245/45/18 MPS4 rear £289 (prices included fitting)
  6. So what's the difference between mpss 3 & 4 My local has offered me a decent enough deal buts it's for mpss 3 on the front and mpss 4 on the rear Is that an issue?
  7. this comes up a lot. First thing to do is check the tension of your belts. My rule of thumb is if I can twist them much more than 90 degrees they are to loose. Tightening them is a 5-10 minute job if you can get your hands between the radiator and the belts. If you can't you need to get the car up in the air and take off the under tray. Instructions on here. http://www.350z-uk.c...ux-drive-belts/ Just start at step 4. I think one of the bolts is left threaded - can't remember which one though (helpful I know). First time I did this I stripped the threads of the tensioner lock doing it up so be careful. Tie some string onto the end of your socket wrench and drape it over the front of the car. Your bound to drop it at some point and this makes finding it again a lot easier! Applying anything to the belts is a very short term fix. If you put any spray on them make sure its silicone based - anything else will wear away the belts even quicker.
  8. Just ordered them and they've arrived - they look a bit small they are w2.1x9.5d is that right. Other threads suggest they need to be 501 but it doesn't state that anywhere on the packet
  9. Are these fairly to install and do they do anything without a remap?
  10. The £8 delivery fee puts me off paints4u
  11. Just noticed one of my LED side bulbs has gone and the other is flickering. The amazon reviews for replacements are all over the place! My last ones lasted 2 years so could do with some that'll last a similar time. Getting them in was a right bugger!
  12. You can hack the Bose to have an aux in, many of us have done it. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/45398-how-to-bose-phono-ipod-hack-guide/
  13. Just found out 2 things when painting my rear strut brace 1) the cargo net can be attached to the underside of the strut brace. I guess this is for larger items? 2)it looks like there is a boot release tab hidden under the strut bar. It looked to have a picture of an open boot on it so presume thats what it does. Begs the question who's small enough to get stuck in a Zeds boot?
  14. very small addition. The reflection of my rear strut brace in the rear window was getting in the way of my rear camera so I painted it matt black.
  15. Does the re-map remove the cruise control functionality? Thought I'd read that on here once. An extra 15 HP for £400.... (Goes away does some maths).... Carry on like that and you can double the HP for ~£8k
  16. PM'd Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk Maybe easier to put a general location in the advert or add it to your profile

So how do people get out of it? see 21 seconds in.... GERONIMO
  19. If you got your spacers a TUV certificate would that only cover your particular spacers or would anyone with the same model spacers be covered? You never know if Tarmac does a lot of trade with countries that need TUVs he might cover some of the cost.
  20. Fairly certain one of the nuts is left hand thread but can't remember if its the locking nut or the tensioner screw. The locking nuts shouldn't be torqued that hard. Are you sure its turning the right way?
  21. Do you have business miles included? I have the same thing its was cheaper to put higher total miles with the same number of business miles. I presumed it was due to reducing the ration of business to leisure miles
  22. Hang on, this has nout to do with cycling unless the guy was cycling on the wrong side of then road then any traffic coming the other way would have been hit head on and the outcome could have been possibly even worse. There is no way cyclings dying out if anything its boom time. If anything I'd say drivings probably having a harder time of it.
  23. Its called a horizontal tonneau cover
  24. I dropped one of the plastic clips and it went under the polestrene bits, so I ended up taking most of the trim of one side anyway!
  25. Damage is already done! I pretty much never wind my windows down, air con all the way! So getting back to my first point, whats the £ damage lily to be?
