  1. Yep same here I even had the Maplins kit aswell, I just went with the bose hack and now have an ipod classic in the cubby hole
  2. There is a discount code for ASDA,so don't forget to factor this into any their prices. The ASDA code is 140 then 7 random numbers in the coupon box. Its 10% off all sales and the price includes fitting. You can select where to get the tires delivered and installed.
  3. Yep, the holes are in the same place as the OEM side skirt, so just line the up and drill. Each side is identical so once you've measured up one side use it as a template for the other side.
  4. Blimey, just got round to buying a battery charger. Plug it in and give my car a quick water less wash, check the battery 30 minutes later and its fully charged.... There's me thinking it should take 6+ hours to charge hmmm. Park my car up and come back to it the next day to see how long the dashcam recorded for, and it made it 7 hours. When I first brought the dashcam it used to record for 3 days. Looks like I've knackered the capacity of my batttery. I brought the battery in Sept '14 (Bosch 4024) and installed the dashcam in March'16. By my reckoning that a 90% loss of capacity in 8 months! I think whats happening is that as I don't drive that much the battery has been sitting at a very low rate for most of the time since I brought the dashcam and has never been charged back up to the full amount. I think my 2 options are either: 1) charge the battery up to full as often as possible - bit difficult as I don't have a driveway and its double yellow outside my house. 1.1) I could get 2 batteries so I can keep one in the car and one on charge and hot swap them each weekend (bit of a palaver though) 2) Forget about keeping the dashcam on when my cars parked up - at the moment I have it set up to stay on all the time, perhaps I should set it up to stay on for 6 hours after parking up. The reason I had the dashcam installed was due to 2 key scratches (7 panels in total) and 3 people driving into me overnight. This all happened in the in the space of about 3 months earlier in the year. I now park my car a few streets away as the roads a lot quieter.
  5. Are you guys playing on PC? I used to love playing FPSs on consoles, but find it too hard playing on PC and it sucks teh enjoyment out of it. I still use a controller as I play on my HD TV sitting on the couch. I don't know whether its keyboard/mouse vs controller or just me ageing, but online FPS is too hard for me. I'm trying to negate the keyboard mouse thing by using a play-station navigation controller for movement and a mouse for shooting but I can't get it to work...
  6. +1 for the bose hack, even I managed to get it to work. If your woried about a messy cable just run it up into the cubby hole.
  7. Packaging up the parts is the main thing stopping me from doing this!
  8. I created a spreadsheet to track service schedule and show how many days are left until your next one. As I dont drive much, it set up to run on years, the distance data is in the top table but it doesn't flow through to the service checker. I put a copy of it on google drive for anyone else to use. I don't normally use google sheets but dont have excel on my home pc. Hopefully this link works! https://docs.google....dit?usp=sharing Obviously take a copy of it if you want to use it for yourself. Looks like I'm overdue an air filter change!
  9. I thought you were supposed to change the DIf oil every 3 years? http://www.350z-uk.c...40#entry1158579
  10. The stereos are paired to each cars ECU, you can't just fit one from another car. You need to either go to Nissan or find a car stereo specialist who can pair the stereo and the new cars ECU. Might be worth making people aware of that.
  11. Depends on how wide the rim is, but for the sake of a few quid why not just buy a new tube. A decent tube is £4 budget ones are <£2 Wheels should be the most expensive thing on your bike, probably not worth the risk. You should have said you were after some brakes, I've got an old pare of Avids sitting around somewhere, although they are end of life (can't buy brake pads anymore) and squeak something rotten. Although I always found teh squeaking breaks were better than having a bell.
  12. Well you might be interested in my rigid forks when they come up for sale. They've never been used http://www.wiggle.co.uk/kinesis-maxlight-xlt-fork Very light.
  13. Ha, should have started one on mine my Zeditis definitely spilled over on to my MTB, had it looking swish until the frame snapped 2 weeks ago…. I’d had the bike 6 years and put over 10k miles on it so it stood me well. Someone pointed out that as it was a specialized frame it came with a lifetime frame warranty. Took it to my local bike shop, who sent it to specialized, they agreed it was covered by warranty and would replace it with a 2017 version of my frame. Here’s where it gets amazing… as my bike was 6 years old it was running a 26†wheel size, specialized haven’t supported this wheel size for 2 years so they had no stock to match my current frame. My new frame will be made for 29†wheels. This means my old wheels and forks won’t match the new frame, therefore specialized have said they’ll included new wheels and forks with the warranty claim! That is amazing customer service. I'll have some Kenesis 26" max light wheels and rigid forks for sale soon + I'll throw in what ever tires and innertubes I have left over. The forks have never been used and the wheels are about 3 months old. The Wheels make an amazing difference http://www.freeborn....ight-vi-wheels. I'll stick a for sale thread up at the weekend.
  14. Just found this as well Build a Dash Cam with a Raspberry Pi, Two Cameras, and GPS
  15. PMP instructions are available here: https://www.blackvue...ower-magic-pro/
  16. The power magic pro does this, however I'm not sure if it only works with blackvue devices. I should have the installation instructions at home, so can check how its wired later. But you may find something on the blackvue website
  17. Blackvue with power magic pro covers what you need. https://www.blackvue.com It has front and rear cameras with the rear camera being infrared for heater night time viewing. The power magic pro cuts off the day am if your battery gets to a certain voltage. The app had loads of settings. You can set it to carry on recording for a set time after driving and also have it come on whilst parked if it detects motion either as movement in front of the camera and or by movement of the vehicle. Its about £450 for a 2 channel set up, with the power magic pro and install. It pays for itself you catch one person.
  18. That's 5 mins away from my parents house. La Nonna restaurant just out of shot next to Shabar is excellent.
  19. One tank full isn't going to cause any noticeable damage, people do north of 100k miles on standard fuel. Think of it like smoking cigarettes a lifetime will kill you but one every now again isn't going to cause any noticeable damage.
  20. As the insurer posted above try adding you mom/dad back onto your policy. At your age that might be whats added the cost, rather than the postcode
