  1. Hi all,

I know what I'm about to ask has been touch on in other posts I have read, but can seem to find common answers / solutions.

As we all know the clutch is the Z is a tricky bugger, trying to get a good clean start all the time is nearly impossible, when it comes to launching from traffic lights or roundabouts I find it even harder to get a smooth quick start, trying not to just dump the clutch.

On very few occasions (once this morning, and once 6 months ago) I have not balanced it well and the revs get to about 3.5k whilst letting go of the clutch but the clutch pedal seems to hover halfway until I let off the gas. Seems like there a vacuum is built up if over revved. Really strange and annoying. I don't think the clutch is worn out because it's fine 90% time and gear changes are smooth.

    Any ideas.....?

    Cheers

  2. Thanks, was thinking about taking the spacers off, but hate the look after. Can't justify some 19". Would leaving the spacers on the rear and taking the fronts off then doing an alignment be stupid? I could live with the fronts not having spacers......

  3. Hi all,

    Looking for some advice.

Car details are - 313HR - 37k miles, standard suspension with 20/25mm spacer setup.

Over the last couple of months I have noticed the following.

When going quite fast 80+ in a straight line, the front end seems to feel a bit vague / loose, also when cornering over rutted tarmac surfaces the front seem to jump / move around more than it should / use to.

Things that maybe contributing to this in my view:-

    • I have been told by the guys at Horsham Dev and the MOT report that the compression are bushes are starting to de-laminate, no knocking at the moment.
    • Rear tyres are 6 month old Goodyear Eagle F1's
    • Front tyres are 4 year old Bridgestone RE050a - no advisory's picked up by MOT.

I'm guessing that it may be a factor of old tyres and worn bushes, but maybe not.....?

    Cheers

    Nick

Pleased with the results ...... Just the rest of the car to do now!!

What lip have you got on the front? Cheers

  5. i dont think so... XL tyres are just slightly stiffer sidewalls to support extra load, but you might find a bit of extra stiffness helps with turn in. its the same rubber and the same tread pattern though.

Cool thanks, was hoping that would be the case. Cheers

  6. Hi Guys,

    Advise / experience please.....

Need new front tyres, have got 3 month old Goodyear F1's non XL on the rear (very impressed by them especially compared with the Bridgestone Potenza RE050A's) want the same on the front. Looking on tyre leader they have well priced Goodyear F1's XL rated, would there be any problems having XL on the front and not on the rear?

    Cheers

  7. Hi all,

With less than a month to the FOS, how many of us are going this year!?

I've been going and camping for the last 9 years, and for the last 3 I've notice how large, corporate and (Family day out) the event has become.

Long gone are the days of witnessing NASCAR's doing doughnuts in paddocks and every car revving it's nuts off.

But can't stop going! Still an awesome event.

If you're camping keep an eye out for a Night Blue 350 HR and a Laguna Seca blue E46 M3 together.

  8. I'm sure they are the same for both , chirag did you paint yours when you got them or just leave them as they arrived and if so do they match the body work ok?

Just heard back from Tarmac, they have suggested that the ones they sell are for non facelift cars as the facelift headlights distort the fitting / look.
