  1. My teenage son is dropping lots of hints he wants a car to learn to drive in !!!
  2. Moped mark, Why not post a pic of your bay, I know your car isn't sunset but the bay might give op some ideas and if nothing else he can see some of your bay mods and your chrome work. Op if you want any inspiration on blinging your bay, moped mark has to be high on your list.
  3. When you have finished my other half says you can come and construct a new garage under our house because we have run out of space and child No 3 now wants are car bringing us up to six cars with three spaces !!
  4. Already planning my Europe trip, will be taking in the Black Forest but the condition on doing it is to stop at Lake Como for a few days, still will manage to get Stelvio pass in and am looking at one or two detours. Those pics by the way show the drama of some of Europe's nicer driving roads.
  5. Keep looking, There are plenty around and you will find one that ticks most of your boxes but low mileage examples are becoming quite rare! Good luck.
  6. Chris, surely it's only the sewer UNDER the garage that will be nuke proof - unless your reference to more over engineering means the rest of the building will be to the same spec !?!? I am going to have to make an excuse to see this marvel of modern engineering once you've finished !!!
  7. Just out of interest, and I know mileage will vary, but roughly how much is a clutch (normal) and roughly what sort of mileage would you expect to get out of one. I'm only after a ball park !
  8. I think Pete probably got a covering letter with the nip explaining this option MAY be available, because i am certain you are right vic the nip comes first and has to be delivered to the registered keeper within 14 days, they then have to advise who was actually driving then the driver ( if different ) gets a nip which they send off then await the prosecution decison.
  9. It was my understanding that if you did the course there was no conviction therefore no need to tell insurers. I was clearly told that when I did mine. It's an interesting quandary, if you don't tell when asked you are withholding relevant info but apparently you don't have to tell them - best be honest if asked but no need to volunteer if not asked. Go for the course if offered.
  10. Nope, it really is a Nismo GTR Japspeed Japspeed Dragon Japan Auto GT Nismo JDM Dragon JDM 350Z that was made in Japan. Haydon, imagine having to tell your insurers your model also not sure there is enough space on the log book !!!??!!
  11. Wish I could keep 350 as well but not an option, I already have five cars on the drive / road and a 17 year old wanting me to buy him a mini, my neighbours already tell me I have my own car lot ! The 350 will either go in px or be sold privately if I don't get offered enough, I have time to choose as there is no rush but would be nice to do this George Wales next June!
  12. Andy, That is one poorly z, truly glad you don't appear to be so poorly, as Chris said, take it easy over the next few days. Wrap your z up in the z shed and see if miracles really do come true. Hope to see you back up and running in no time.
  13. Will your Scotland trip looked amazing and perfect weather for your ragtop, no pics of you with your infamous helmet cam though!!!!
  14. Some really great pics, can't believe you had such good weather and you all clearly enjoyed yourselves!
  15. So 1/ Wendy - 350Z - Full trip 2 Dave dutch 350z - second half, hopefully full trip dependant on start date
  16. Fair point Nic, I just hate it when a good idea gets taken so far off topic. The numbers interested in this looks really good let's help it happen !
  17. I agree Dave, you can have too many, which is why Wendy stated she wants a small core and others can join and leave as they choose. Personally, even 10-12 can be hard to keep together!
  18. Good to see so much interest from the Midlands, this could really help with route planning and lead to a great convoy there and back. Roll on next June !!!
  19. Nic, exactly as others have recently done. It just means the event will not be officially sanctioned by the forum - Wendy is organising and Wendy is capable of choosing how this proceeds, Graham was, in my view just pointing out the forum line. Can we get back on topic now ?
  20. Clearly info can be posted that is not considered to be a z forum item as in the current Scottish trip being undertaken that has more non z's than z's. The forum has many non z related threads! But it makes sense that the forum's liability insurance would be limited to z's only, this would, I assume, explain why non z's are not welcome on the Wales trip and why non z's cannot park in the reserved car park at the ace cafe events etc. The bad news is that on that basis, anyone organising a group drive that includes non z's would not be covered by said liability insurance, however, just what you would need such liability insurance for I am unsure as each car should have its own insurance. To my mind the liability insurance would only come into effect at shows etc where members of the public could be harmed by club members actions or failings. It would be good for everyone attending or organising an event to be properly made aware of exactly what this insurance does and doesn't cover and what makes an official forum event.
  21. Siar, 13k on a set of tyres sounds quite good to me, mine manages about 8k but that's the side effect of enjoying the z and part of why I'm looking a another rather than something totally different.
  22. Thank nwz, some useful tips. Nic, the boss won't let me have an Aston db7 and i'm getting bored with the 350 although it still makes me smile when my foot gets heavy, Also planning a two week trip round Europe next September and the boss will be happier in something newer so now'is seems like a good time to start looking with no pressure!
  23. Mine is well over mileage at 103,000 but may well soon be up for sale. 55 plate, wrapped, coilovers, cobra exhaust, sports cats, uprev, mishimoto fans, new brake lines. It sounds and goes really well, mileage, as said is not everything. I've had it over two years and all work has been done by Cougar Store in Leicester
