  1. I say go for it.....you only live once! Who cares what other people think, if you want that Alfa.....you go girl!
  2. I had similar problem with mine, stripped the door down, got to the motor, took the top off and gave it a damn good spray with electrical circuit spray, bought from Maplins and it's been as good as new ever since......and that was a year ago.
  3. I had a similar problem, wheel wobble over 40mph, had them re-balanced, wobble over 60mph, took them to another tyre dealer and re-balanced again, all out as the previous tyre dealer's equipment was out of calibration. Do your spigot rings fit nice and tight?...again, I went through 2 sets off ebay then had a set specially made for my car. I was also told that "Avon" tyres distort slightly at higher speed. I have these on the rears and I can still feel a vibration through my seat @ 80mph, only very slightly though. I can live with that. I know how you feel though, spending loads of money on wheels only to make the car worse. Makes you wish you hadn't bothered.
  4. Disgusting. I bet that put you off your pizza .
  5. I used to have a little MK1 Golf GTI, Mars Red, cracking little car, another car I should have kept!!
  6. Yes, I'd be up for this, not that far from me and I like ze german cars too!
  7. Shocking news Jim, hope you get it back soon, I'll keep a look out for it.
  8. I can't to begin to imagine what those poor people were going through in those horrific 8 minutes diving back to earth, I only hope the g-force would render them all un-concience so they didn't feel anything.
  9. If you paid for a diagnostic then it's down to the dealer to investigate and find out why your hood is not working, if it isn't the fuse which would take seconds that leaves them 59 minutes to check the motor and anything else. Cheeky beggars!

  11. thats a stupid statement cars of the 90s accord mondeo 3 series laguna vectra etc all have the same profile Personally cant see how an audi a4 and a infinity q50 look the same a a honda civic estate or a bmw 1 series hatch It's not a stupid statement, it's my own personal opinion.
  12. Does nothing for me, big fat backside just like all the other hot hatches, they all look the same these days. That's why I lost interest in BTCC, back in the nineties you could clearly see the different models but now every car looks the same, all from the same mould.
  13. Like it Ian, really sets the interior off and goes well with your seats. I've got an interior mod due to be fitted when the weather improves........watch this space.
  14. I'd say your battery is dying, had the exact same thing on mine, the cold killed it so bought a new one and now she "explodes" into life on very cold mornings.
  15. Was your clutch pedal heavy before and now nice and effortless?
  16. So........the question is, do you still have her?????
  17. Damn, you beat me! Lol. Was expecting them to quote something silly like £140.
  18. Just bought a genuine Nissan battery from Westway Nissan for £50+vat! Well chuffed!
  19. Amazing work!....1 day to replace an engine, it would take a Nissan dealer at least 2 days, fantastic!
  20. Great stuff, looking forward to following this story.
  21. Yep it's a bloody nightmare, I use an LED torch with the left hand and guide it in with the right hand. Fnar....fnar!
  22. Welcome buddy, watch out for "Zeditis". It's highly contagious.
  23. Looking good Toothy, I also fitted Hertz components in the doors and they sound great, I've yet to fit my Alpines to the rear, is there an easy way of removing all the plastic surrounds?
