  1. And hopefully it will While im waiting for the engine to get shipped over here im doing some research about what parts need to be altered/changed/interchanged from the 350z/300zx(NA+TT) when running a 350z tranny and the vh45. Apperently the z32 flywheels bolts right on the crank but they are alittle bit different in diameter, also i dont know if the gears on the flywhells are the sameom the 350z and Z32s. The alternative is to re-drill the 350z flywheel, some have done this but that feels abit wrong if that means i need to add holes instead of redrilling the ones that exists. Im runng a skeleton flywheel tight now and that makes me even more unsure about the re-drilling bit. Also i might be forced to use a flywheel spacer to get the flywheel on the right distance from the crank to get the starter aligned :-O
  2. Thanks for replies guys! Not many vh45 builds on this side of the ocean, thats for sure. Hopefully i wont quit before its done, if i got all regulations understood right here in SWE then it should be possible to register with the vh45 along with a change of brakes. Im not the best guy when it comes to build threads but ill do my best! The reason i choose this engine is that most run TT VQs if anything but ive always wanted to swap an V8 in a suitable car and its not until now i have one i want to go that route with Another reason i choose the vh45 over any other brand or the vk45 or vk56 is its a Nissan and the most bang for the buck compared, if i want to turbo it along the road
  3. Bought my Z some months ago, I live in Sweden so i imported it here from the UK. I've bought a long block JDM VH45DE from overseas, with wiring harness and ECU, no AC, alternator etc. Now Im wondering if anyone here has swapped for this, not very common to do in the Z (or G35) but some have as a quick google shows. Used to nuild Engines for a living so taht shouldnt be to much of a hazzle.
  4. When i picked mine up, Im from Sweden but bought it in Cardiff, it was fitted with a ACT clutch and its HEAVY, would almost say that mine is unsprung compared to my old R33's fitted with the heavier RPS 6 pad sprung clutches. If we're talking about the same clutch it is driveable but not prefferably as a daily driver if you're into comfort. If not then its awesome
  5. Im David from Sweden, bought my '04 350z GT in the UK 2 months ago. Copy-paste'd from the ad I bought it from : Its a 2004 Nissan 350z GT. Track day Spec, with 79000 miles. Some service history. 3.5 GT spec with Bose sound system and built in Sat nav and huge Brembo brakes. MOT until January 2014 and Taxed until end of September. Tyres is the only entry on the advisory section. Black leather interior with heated seats. Race style steering wheel with airbag remove kit installed (certificated) HSD fully adjustable coilovers Adjustable Camber arms Driftworks Solid light weight flywheel ACT paddle clutch Japspeed K4 exhaust Intake Plenum spacer K&N Panel Filter Up Rev Kit Traction control removed. 18 inch Super rare Advan RG2s, 9.5 wide (expensive) Mapped and tuned by Abbey Motorsport at 300bhp (documented) We go LHD in Sweden, RHD tend to be about 50% cheaper here if you were to sell it, though with all the part on this im quite happy driving a RHD one. Have owned RHDs for about 6-7 years now; R33 GTST - Built a RB30/26DETT in it, chassis reworked, body resprayed, airbrushed etc, best car ive had yet, owned it for 5 years R33 GTR - Owned it acouple of months, more or less stock Toyota Aristo 2JZ-GTE MT - Had it for a year, coilover'd it, wheels, nothing more Lexus IS250 MT - Had it for about a year, same as the Aristo, coilovers, wheels RX7 MT - Came stock, left BN Sports Blister'd, ugly kit but modded it to look somewhat better Im quite happy with the looks of my Z, promised the lady (no not the Fairlady) to focus on the engine on this car and also try and keep it after its done, a minimum of 2 years but im so happy with it ill probably keep it longer! Always liked Nissan and it keeps growing on me! Plans for the Z is a VH45DE, hopefully twinturboing it in the future. Engine has been ordered and im really looking forward to digging into the build. The engine is off of a Q45 JDM so apparently if im going to use USDM ECU/ECM im going to have to get hold of the US's version crank sensor, EGR and CAS otherwise ill try and get hold of a JDM ECU. Atached picture is from the ad too, havent had time yet to take some decent shots
