Dibs on the Fujitsubo, YHPM
-
Only just seen this thread, thanks for the link 14N. Sold it in a day, the bloke that bought it did a trip from south Wales to just north of London and pretty much bought it before seeing it. I love the Jimney's, a good quality small 4x4, defiantly consider it!
-
Sorry Katy. It was my pride and joy. Sad times all round.
-
All sold now, 1 day and its gone. Guess I was right about 'first to see will buy'. Please lock admins.
-
You sure can but this isn't a turbo. They go for more due to insurance. Looks like it may have sold already, I have a bloke coming from Wales to look at it.
-
Just had an insurance quote on it of £600!!!!! Second car so no NCB to use on it. Burble or not, I think price would still matter to me... GLWTS tho That's a shame Katy, £600 isn't that much when you can make car alarms go off in car parks with the sound Cant you just tell a Subaru owner , if it aint that its the midnight car show rev limiter salute Afraid so, its an amazing sound though.
-
That money will be used to pay off the bank (of mum) from buying the Zed! I will be selling my telescope shortly, anyone interested?

Cheers Mike, I would be a bit put out if it was removed seeing as this forum is my new home.

The non turbo is more desirable to younger drivers due to cheaper insurance and fuel economy, this is why its more than the turbo models. The bonnet is more for the look and does bring in some cold air for the intake. The interior is from a new age Impreza (turbo), the classic interior isn't as nice. +1 You'd have to come in at much nearer the £1k mark for me to come up on Saturday morning and buy it off you You are more than welcome to come and have a look, I'm sure the price wont matter once you have heard the flat 4 burble.

Drivers door window and mirror control panel removal
Hooch replied to PAJERO's topic in 350Z General
Not sure if its the same on your year but here's a step by step: http://my350z.com/forum/audio-video-and-electronics-diy/407151-2008-door-panel-removal-front-speaker-install.html -
Subaru Impreza Sport 2.0 AWD 2001 In truly excellent condition for age and mileage (105,828 miles). £1,850 OVNO, located in Dunstable, Bedfordshire. This is a superb car and has been my pride and joy since 2008, but I've been seduced by a Nissan 350Z and now, sadly, the Scooby has to find a new home. It's been totally reliable and sails through snow, ice and MOT's! It looks the part; makes all the right noises, but has the benefits of cheap insurance, low maintenance costs and very good fuel economy. 1994cc Non-Turbo Two previous owners. Clutch replaced at 79,000 miles. Cambelt changed at 60,000 mile service. MOT until 19 January 2014. Taxed until 30/11/2013. The car has been regularly serviced by me using only the highest quality parts. There have only been three mechanical issues during my ownership, one being the knock sensor, which is a common fault and was replaced about a week after buying the car. I had a rear wheel bearing replaced a few weeks ago (also common on Impreza's) and a lateral link bush was replaced in 2011. In addition, the rear quarter panel was recently professionally resprayed due to some lacquer peeling. There is also an issue with the near side damper which occasionally clonks when coming to a stop. I've been advised that the damper piston is most likely sticking and it's possible to have these refurbished. The original suspension will be included but, if required, the entire Turbo suspension can be bought for around £50 and the existing suspension replaced, however, I am being picky and it has never bothered me. It has also recently had: New battery New wipers New auxilliary belt Modifications (made by me): Prodrive springs and dampers (very rare) P1 replica PU plastic front splitter (not one of the cheap fibreglass versions) Colour coded fog light covers Colour coded front brake air vents De-tango'd (replacement of orange indicators with clear) Clear side repeaters (will come with one spare) Genuine facelift turbo bonnet Custom induction kit 17" Japanese lightweight alloys Short shifter (makes gear changes so much nicer) Custom grey door cards Genuine Momo steering wheel Turbo dials (currently reading 66845 miles but I have photographic proof of previous mileage and mileage of new dials at the time they were installed) Alpine head unit (Bluetooth and USB) 'New Age' front and rear seats New rear JBL speakers Front doors and rear shelf sound proofed to enhance audio quality Subaru mudguards Genuine STI spoiler (very rare) Tinted windows (light tint) De badged Genuine Boral unequal manifold (provides that gorgeous turbo burble!) Non resonated centre section After burner vortex back box (angled Jap style exit) Benen rear tow bar Two pot turbo front calipers with turbo disks and pads Car comes with the option (at no extra cost) of having any or all of the standard items that were removed by me, e.g. suspension parts, bonnet, spoiler, original Sport alloys with nearly new Bridgestone Potenza tyres, etc. etc. It will also come with: Braided brake lines Rear disc conversion parts including rear anti roll bar Bad Bits: Car has 2 very small chips in the windscreen which are not in an MOT failure position. There were some stone chips on the Turbo bonnet when I acquired it. I had intended dealing with these but, in all honesty, they're negligible and I never got around to doing it. In summary, the car looks great and sounds amazing. It's a real head turner and I've even had people ask if they could take photos of it! It drives superbly; has never been thrashed nor been near a track. I purchased the car in totally standard form and all the subsequent modifications have been meticulously carried out by myself. I was a regular contributor to the Impreza Sport Owners Club until it's demise earlier this year and am still a member of the Scoobynet Owners Club. I know it's a cliché, but I really do believe that the first to see this car will buy it! If you require any more information or photos, just ask. Contact me on 01582 536742.

Right, so I was looking to change the front speakers. I was going to take the Infinity components out of the Impreza but how are the tweeters connected in the default Bose system? Are they separate in the wiring loom? Is there a unit to separate the highs from the lows?

Oh my, Stevie Wonder could have done a better job! I thought my wrapping skills were bad with a few small bubbles.

Topic resurrection. Whats the latest bird view CD? If i'm able to locate this I will happily share the wealth for a small fee. The CD in my system currently is from 2003. Note, CD not DVD. EDIT: Bit more into, I currently have v5.1, is this the latest CD (2003)? I know the CD is now obsolete its all on DVD now but just wanted the latest CD possible.

Awesome post dude, now there's even more stuff I have to buy for mine!
-
Forth diBs? I hold out very little hope of getting a chance but you never know!
-
Ahhh I see now, sorry 14N I thought you were talking about removing the while unit Cheers, sounds like an easy job, will give it a go after I have done my B pillars.
-
Cheers guys, do you remove the Z badge or cut around it after?
-
I was thinking about carbon wrapping the rear strut cover, just wondered what options I had with the Z badge. Does it require removing then sticking back on or do you cut around the badge? Is it easily breakable and will I require replacement? Talk to me...

Yeah just don't want to be going somewhere that's going to say loads of things need doing just to make some money. Glen/Greg (it started with a g???), I did buy a 350z in the end, I was the one that was looking at the black GT4 you had for sale in the garage (the overweight balding bloke), Japex is just up the road from you isn't it? EDIT: Just looked and they don't do MOT's, my mechanic is still doing repairs and I will service the car so just need to fine a decent MOT place.

chubby ninjas supercharged build, update page 5!
Hooch replied to The Chubby Ninja's topic in Member Build Projects
This is awesome! Out of interest, how did you polish up the upper plenum? -
I thought it would need to be done with code but I tried using the centre button and it worked fine.
-
Could you let me know where I can find one of these? Also, is it a direct replacement?

I'v been looking and I'm thinking of getting a USB power port in the middle cubby and the 3.5 jack. http://www.ebay.co.u...=item257cbe3162 Also with the previously posted 3.5 panel jack: http://www.ebay.co.u...984.m1497.l2649 Just an idea and there are a lot of step down converters and USB leads. Looks stealthy though...
