  1. yeh what he said and good idea with the silicone.. wet mud sat in that area will just rot your arches from the inside out so take your time in cleaning it all out
  2. my mate did this and said you should cut the paint with a sharp blade on the inside where you cant see it. it helps to stop the paint cracking. You might want to find some more info on this though? think it only really matters if your going to flare them. Just make sure you heat em up
  3. I don't think the Duke of E would have a 'slanty eye' car in the garage German all the way Sent from the golf club... I agree.. They do like their 'Vags' dont they? hehe Is it not treason to talk about the Queen's vag? Sent from the golf club... Probably right so im going to bail out of this conversation right now

    Auto breaks!!

Yes i think my fronts are letting me down.. i have brand new Continental on the rear but my front are very old rubber.. i heard that old tyres can go 'hard' and not provide much grip (The previous owner had these wheels stored in a garage and never covered any miles on them).. Assuming my fronts are providing less grip this would have caused the ESP to kick in and brake the car for me? Really happy i know what this is now and time to start saving for some MPS3s for the front

    Auto breaks!!

cheers i'll give that a watch later... thanks for the replies im glad now i know what it is... I have never driven a car that does this before normally you can punish the front wheels until they start to scream at you but i guess you cant do that in the zed? It something i think will take a little while to get used too but i was driving some A roads the other day and when it happened it scared me to death.
  7. I heard she has a zed parked up in garage next to the roller

    Auto breaks!!

oops. sorry i struggle with stuff like that, damn brain! So its normal for the car to brake automatically? will it still do this if I turn T.C off? I've only ever driven it hard a couple of times since i only just got it but i have noticed this happen before entering a corner hard, i cant believe it would automatically pinch the breaks, is it to stop the front slipping?
  9. hit a roundabout this morning quite briskly and felt the car breaking (Or at least thats what it felt like) while cornering. the slip light flashed at me. Is this normal. i guess it was stopping the back stepping out on me but it almost felt like it was the front breaks not a cut of power to the rear? Can anyone relate to this?
  10. dude, get a bike, get some warm gear and get peddling! at that distance you wont even get time to get a sweat on.. then when you get home at night and the traffics died down you can go for a spin
  11. Well i just had my rears re balanced and one was out "15" what ever that means... i drove around on them and they still feel the same. the best way i can describe the feeling is if you change lanes on the motorway they seem to grab at the road and literally throw the car around... i know it didn;t feel like this before i changed the tyres, the pressure is correct (35) and they have covered 250+ miles now so im happy they have worn in. Anyone with Continental Sport Contact 5's had a tram tracking effect or think this is what it would be? Im going to be buying Michelin PS3's for the front soon and i'll get a full align done
  12. Ok 35... I suppose I should go out n check what they actually put in at the garage... but im watching attack of the clones so cba at the mo hehe.. cheers for the advice. I guess if the pressure is right I must have to give them some time to wear in.. After checking all the bolts are tight of course I hope it isn't anything more ... sinister.
  13. Mainly wet motorway miles.. I realise this isn't exactly wearing them in... should I.pretty much reset my clock and do another 150? (Manufacturer min break in) They feel really loose at high speed? I have spacers.. check everythinga tight down there first?
  14. Hi guys. Just got some continental sport contact 5s... I have no idea what pressure is in them. (Will check) what should I put in? They seem slick at around 75 - 80 like they on the verge of breaking free.. I have to stay they dont fill me with confidence... they have covered 150miles now and are improving is this normal? I was expecting too much perhaps(thought they would be on rails)
  15. Banter this thread haha... im missing star wars looking through all this.
  16. I heard baby oil will help protect polished metal.. it will smoke up a little when hot tho. I used it on my pug a few times but wonder if there is anything else others have used as a sort of protection?
  17. Hey Rob, please Pm me with payment details. It will be easier for me to keep track of what's going on. sometimes finding events through the forum and keeping upto date is hard work. Also if you mentioned this on your fb page it hasnt shown up in my news feed? Hope to be there and get some good advice from everyone
