  1. my friend (if allowed) will be coming in a Mercedes C63 coupe with the 507 upgrades ! ...If he's allowed to attend that is, I understand if it's Zed only. Just wanted to ask. No fiesta's or astra's haha
  2. Yeh no worries. I'm looking into aftermarket but it's a bit tricky (and expensive ) Good luck with the sale
  3. Hi did you have HID in them? Mine are the same what are you doing to replace them?
  4. that bumper tuck tho.... off topic i know sue me,
  5. Payco, did ask Buster for some more info already.. His lights are the first aftermarket ones i layed eyes on in the flesh and they looked great. Sargara, Yes you are right and i will be contacting them before purchase but from what i understand if you buy from the USA you get RHD and if you buy from AUS you get the (correct) LHD lights. Someone must have some images of other after market lights on their cars tho??
  6. I have been struggling with my head lights all winter and now one of the HID bulbs has failed i'm seriously thinking of an upgrade. I have been looking into the after market lights from Australia as they drive on the correct side of the road it should be an easy swap. looking into these at the moment http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Black-LED-DRL-Day-Time-Projector-Head-Lights-for-Nissan-Z33-350Z-03-05-Fairlady-/180704735929?fits=Model%3A350+Z&hash=item2a12d772b9:g:b0MAAOSwiLdV9RH5 Please post below if you have after market headlights, i want to see what's out there besides these ones. heres some images of the damage on the inside of my lenses.
  7. Yeh, i did just read this but i can't even wire a plug so the thought of having to "splice" "diode" and "use electrical tape" scares me to death... I do think i'll have a go at this but i'm trying to sort out my head lights first. Either way they look great! Matt
  8. great write up, bit worries about not having a fog light so i'll put this on hold for now. Hodaka also managed to squeeze in a sly bumper tuck here as well
  9. Thanks for advice guys.. I'll try and pop this off at the weekend and have a look. Matt
  10. Haha.. and we've missed that heated jacket! Look forward to seeing you there pal
  11. I need to remove my door card (if it ever stops raining) to have a look at an issue with my driver side window, The issue is like its come out of the track / holder or something. It goes down fine but if i let it go all the way to the bottom it wont go back up. I have to hold the window switch in the 'up' position with my left hand and bang on the door really hard with my fist to make the glass jump back into the window mechanism. Should be an easy fix right? cheers for any advice, Matt
  12. :snack:I'm loving being back in the detailing threads

Chris, i have bought some HID bulbs on a prayer, i think they are 6K or something.... Are these a straight swap? dont get me wrong ive changed a bulb before just not an HID. reading up about ballast's and things?? dont get it Yeh its as i thought Ricey. It's been like that for a while but to be honest it makes driving at night a pain so i'm ready for a swap out. I think the facelift headlights would be worth a punt though they are expensive as hell. Failing that, I might go for some Aussie aftermarket ones like these. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Black-LED-DRL-Day-Time-Projector-Head-Lights-for-Nissan-Z33-350Z-03-05-Fairlady-/180704735929?fits=Model%3A350+Z&hash=item2a12d772b9:g:b0MAAOSwiLdV9RH5 am i right in thinking they are ok to use because the Aussies drive on the correct side of the road?

Chris, They have cracked on the inside hard to show on the pics but i think they are past their best and in need of either a refurbish (if possible) or replacing all together. One more thing while i think about it, do you think i can run the side lights as well as the DRL that you fitted? I have got some LED side light and wanted to run with the side's and the DLR's By the way i have tried to polish them up and this works fine to take out the 'clouding' but the cracks you see (looks like ice) is all on the inside of the light. I haven't tried one of those abrasive restoration kits you can get but i thought this might be a waste of my time, worth a go??

thanks for the replies, the ones i have are cracked (i think because of the HID upgrade) they really let the car down but for the price of some OEM lamps i could go aftermarket.. tough decisssions to make

    Upgraded HID's

One of my bulbs has stopped working and i'm pretty sure they're aftermarket HID bulbs like this. Do i just need to get the Bulbs or the whole kit again? cheers for any advice you can offer me Matt

Any second hand OEM / aftermarket headlights around? cheers, Matt
  21. Those Volks above are great money. I paid about the same for my Volk GT-S and they where slightly damaged with minor curb marks on a couple of the wheels. to be honest, whats so bad about buying budget wheels? unless your hammering them on a track or hammering the B roads a nice set of budget wheels look great and shouldn't be sniffed at. Matt
