  1. I get between 250-300 miles from brimmed to the light coming on depending on nature of driving town/motorway.
  2. Yeah all the build up to it, car preparation, excitement then to get sent home! The main issue is the group of us, there were about 30 all in. To get the same group to go again will be difficult! Oh well the car is still in one piece! Will look at booking in the new year before my 6 month token runs out
  3. Cancelled due to fog unfortunately. Javelin have given a token to book onto another day within 6 months. Probably won't get out until early next year now! Only photo I got was the morning mc d breakfast
  4. What front lip/splitter is that? Is that on standard suspension?
  5. I would like to have a peak please Christmas list

    Understeer

Found some good info here; https://350zmotorsports.wordpress.com/2009/03/17/350z-advanced-suspension-setup-toe-camber-spring-rates/

    Understeer

Having the geo done on mine Friday before trackday next week. I will be looking for a setup that keeps the car within standard spec but towards the end of the range that will give best settings on track (stock suspension) Trying to eliminate understeer which was noticeable on previous occasions as much as possible within the limits. Running on MPS all round. Cheers
  8. HR engines love to rev!! Even more so with an uprev as they raise the limiter slightly!
  9. Haha I've been asked if its a Porsche quite a few times. Obviously by people who have no idea just see the shape which I suppose does look a little bit Porsche....
  10. Apart from VDC, TC, ABS and ABLS you mean ? I would say it's more involving to drive a zed on its limits than a 4wd golf r with all of its modern driving aid systems.
  11. You actually drive a zed though 😉 the golf is just a computer on wheels!!
  12. Winter detail with lots of wax and driven as normal! Washed every week to keep the grit/salt off the arches ðŸ‘ðŸ»
  13. Correct the DE does have more torque but only in a very small area of the Rev range, the HR has more torque throughout the whole range!
  14. Erm, how? The Golf R has 9bhp less but 12ft/lb more torque than the 350, weighs at least 100kg less, has 4WD and a DSG 'box. It's limited to 155mph so I've no doubt will do that in stock form, so on no planet with even a vaguely competent driver should the 350 see which way the Golf R went in a straight line. Hell, I'd thoroughly expect the Golf to p*ss all over the 350 round the corners too. I'd still rather own the 350 as I'd find it more fun, but I really struggle to believe that the 350 was quicker than the R Don't get me wrong the golf was very quick there was nothing in it in fact with them dsg gear changes the golf is definitely a quicker car on shorter circuits. I think it depends on how the car delivers that power, mine has only had an uprev other than that it is standard engine wise. The HR with an uprev does pull really well all the way into the red. This could just be to do with the difference in gear ratios at that particular speed but my HR definitely started to edge a standard R at them speeds. As you mentioned though the golf is ridiculously quick out of the lower speed corners which the zed couldn't match!
  15. Sorry my last post doesn't read correctly. The HR was able to pass the golf r after 120mph.
  16. Curious, how many car lengths (or not) does the R beat the 350HR in a drag race? As I recall, not much if anything could beat my un-modded 350HR under £50k (unless it was modified :/) Totally agreed on looks. The Z looks like a sports car, feels like one and sounds like one. The Golf R.. looks just like another golf really. That is all well and good if you don't want to look like you have a sports car, but is that logic not so dissimilar to those old folk that buy a 4ltr only to do 30 mph everywhere. If it is fast, it should look fast - and sexy - and masculine! You don't see many girls in 350z's (no offence), but I see plenty of sales reps and estate agents in Golfs. I'd say, if you have dogs and kids, such restrictions merit consideration of a golf R, it has boot space and rear seats. Its not all about speed, you can obliterate a golf R by spending a little more money on the 350HR engine, but certainly, no where near what a new R costs. The golf r is much quicker off the line than the HR. With a roll on from 30mph the HR level pegged the R then started to pass it around 120! All on track!
  17. White 370 number ending HPO sounds and looks very good!!
  18. I paid £9800 for my HR nearly 3 years ago. From what I have seen online and judging by condition of mine I would think I could get around 9000 for it now. So depreciation is definitely levelling out on that particular zed.
  19. I used to hammer A3 and A4 petrol or Diesel in my Fiesta ST150, until you got to S Line variants. No offence, but your car must be broken or you're a terrible driver if you're struggling in a Z. Fiesta ST's are rapid though! Like the Astra vxr's!! In all seriousness this particular Audi had obviously had some bits done as there was so much soot coming from it!
  20. Just stumbled across this on YouTube.
  21. Brilliant little cars! I want one for a bit of a track fun!
