  1. Thanks for taking the time to write this, much appreciated!!
  2. Ahhhhh thats interesting, thats one of the models i was looking at!! how much did you pay for it? and hows the performance compared with the oem system? can you post a pickie of it in the car??
  3. Wow thanks Payco for that great advice!!! hahahaha
  4. Dont get me wrong, basically i meant all the flashing lights etc...obviously the units would be better, its just a shame that if you want a decent head unit the multi coloured lights seem to come with them too lol
  5. Good idea, im gonna look into that thanks!!
  6. Unfortunately mine's buggered!!...as in the cd player. So need to hunt for another one.
  7. Finding a head unit that looks good (i.e. not chav!) is the difficult part. It seems the aftermarket mainly caters to barry boys these days, so good luck in your search. I'm still on the stock radio as I couldn't find anything that offers all the nice features of an upgrade system while looking reasonably "original". Depends on whether you can stand flashing bright blue lights I guess Keep us posted with your progress - sorry I couldn't be more help, but I'd be interested to see what you choose yeah totally agree!! if i could get a decent oem replacement i would...i like the interior so yeah dont want it to look like a disco inside lol!!
  8. Hi all, my cd player has packed up so im in the process of trying to choose a decent new stereo that will also look good in the zed (open to suggestions by the way!!) Anyway, i came upon this article that i thought was rather interesting and helpful!! Maybe a few may benefit from it so here it is!!... http://www.crutchfie...issan-350z.html Happy reading!!
  9. Hmmm they're either poland, holland or germany lol, well, in the EU anyways, cheap, fast delivery, id definately use them again. I think they must just source the tyres where they are cheapest and then get them delivered direct to you (obviously adding a small charge for their efforts!) one thing i was told was that they dont put the horrendous mark ups on their tyres like we do in england.
  10. Hmmm they're either poland, holland or germany lol, well, in the EU anyways, cheap, fast delivery, id definately use them again.
  11. I think if you were using them on a track then maybe you would consider it but air is good enough i recon!!
  12. Looks like a few are using this website then!! Good news!! Theyre based in Holland i think.
  13. Yup!! A good saving. Hopefully others can save too.
  14. Well its that time of year for me and my Zed where we both scour the web for the cheapest tyre prices...I'm running 19" Rays on mine and use Dunlop Sport Maxx tyres. Imagine my surprise when i typed in the sizes and pressed the quote button only to find a reply saying 1off Dunlop Sport maxx tyre £250!! Id thought more like £35 would be a fair price!!! So, while chatting to a mechanic friend of mine, i told him of my distressing online experience and he kindly advised i go to an online supplier HE uses called Oponeo...so off i merrily trotted and surprise surprise, for 2 rear tyres as above: £340 delivered!! (In 4 days!!) So, if anyone else wants to save a few bob, give them a try!! Over and out.
  15. Hmmmm well i havnt done THAT lol!! Its a pain though!!
  16. Hi guys n girls, ive noticed that my cruise control doesnt always deploy...sometimes it does, sometimes it doesnt!! Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks!!
  17. Go for a piper cross filter. And remember, your car may not run any better without the cats...id check first before you de-cat it.
  18. How about i pay for EVERYONES plugs!! Cos im that typo guy!!....on second thoughts...
  19. They must be special platinum tipped wipers!!
  20. Yeah its a bit of a job, i wouldnt want to do it but at the same time id rather not get ripped off hence getting someone i know to do it. But Nissan do take the p**s!!
  21. Ha!! Ummm i didnt wait to ask lol!!
  22. Yeah thats what they quoted!! What a rip off eh!! They fed me the excuse that its because theyre platinum tipped...yeah i know that, and i also know how much platinum tipped plugs cost!! Dealers are such rip off merchants...glad im going with someone trustworthy and with a good rep on jap cars, Nissans loss eh!!!!!
  23. Well, needing a P2 service on my current girlfriend, ie my Zed (nothing sexual mind you!!) i decided to give my local Nissan dealer a call...you know, give them a chance and all that!! After a few minutes the nice man phoned me back with their price. 'Hmmm' i thought, ok not too unexpected. Then then informed me that i'll need a plug change too...I was rather taken aback by his comment as id been unaware that he'd seen my bath. But after realising my mistake i asked him as to how much extra this would cost. 'Double the service cost mate and that will be the rough cost' he said....What!!!!!!!!?? (I said!!) So feeling like i was being taken for a ride, i went to see a jap loving car mechanic friend of mine who owns a business in Haywards Heath. Funnily enough i was the 4th person to come in and enquire about a plug change on a Zed!! So after some friendly advice from a guy that knows all there is to know about jap cars i decided to book my car in with him. Around £450 which includes the P2 service, an uprated exhaust change, a new upgraded air filter and a gearbox oil change. And he also supplied me with a website where i can buy my 19" Dunlop Maxx tyres for around £175 instead of £250. So all in all, im a happy bunny!! Better than £370 plus another £340 from Nissan.
  24. One thing i did, which was a bit sneaky but relevant in a way, i checked out the guy i was buying it from...his postcode, what he did for a living etc etc...ok it may sound little i was stereotyping but, Zeds are expensive to run, theyre sportscars and i wanted to make sure the original owner was able to look after it, money no issue. That was a big factor in my buying the car off this particular guy. Plus he didnt actually want to sell, plus he kept taking photos of it, and plus he ended up with tears in his eyes as i handed him my cash...at that point i knew i was onto a winner!! Remember also, 2006 onwards will double your road tax...and some are a little stiff in 2nd gear. Id agree with what 35oz's has said. Other than that, theyre pretty bullet proof.
  25. can you post a pic? Where did you get the pens??
