  1. I just did my own!! Hehehehe!! On clear vinyl (see my wheels). I took some to last years InCarNation...couldnt give em away lol...haha nevermind!!
  2. I tried changing mine but ended up having to phone nissan with the serial number and then they give you the code...at a cost, something like £55 i think. So I swapped over the cd unit from another donor unit in the end which worked. As above, id just buy another unit as its a lot of hassle. Plus you never know how long a secondhand OEM unit is gonna last!!!!!!!
  3. Love my DE, If its mods youre after then DE may see more gains plus 2006 onwards will clobber you for more road tax, double basically. All Zeds are great cars though, just ask VBH!! , and for what you get for your money...well, no car rivals it imo.
  4. I think it happens to all, its just luck of the draw i think.
  5. Let us know how you get on!! Photos too would be good!!
  6. Interesting. I'd message bulletmagnet and see what he thinks!! I'm sure he will know.
  7. I got another quote from Yianimizze in North East London at 1.7k for the Hexis wrap red satin chrome according to posts put up earlier they are one of the best in the business. So the rust thing stated previously is due to a crap job u think? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Be careful of hexis at the moment, theyre admitting to a lot of failing material (apparently). Check with THEM (Hexis) first. We only use 3m or my favourite, Avery Supreme.
  8. Here I am!!! £2700 sounds a lot but depends on the vinyl, colours vary quite a lot depending on what you want and what make. As for saying 'I don't do wraps', unfortunately there's a lot of shite wrappers out there, wraps should never have a seam. I'd suggest whoever did it isn't a wrapper or is a shite one!! We usually charge around £1800-£2000 for a wrap. What material did they quote you for and what make!!??
  9. Hmmm, maybe i should just buy a new set of headlights then lol!!
  10. Hey guys n girls, im thinking about changing my headlights to LED's as i have the standard OEM bulbs in mine. Where the best place to start looking for a set and when changing from bulbs to LED's are they just plug and play or will i need to do a bit of 'tampering'!!! Thanks!!
  11. Yup i looked at the dirt devil...but unfortunately its got a plug...still open to suggestions though!! You can always plug it into a 12v to 240v inverter, now this looks like a good one.. http://www.ebay.co.u...=item2edbbd9e8e hmmm i like they girls!! i wonder if they come with it!!?
  12. Thanks for your input guys but ive already bought it!!
  13. Well, after much deliberation, ive decided to go for the Black & Decker PAD1200 Auto Flexi Car Vacuum, 12 V as suggested by pjf1985!! Thanks for your advice chaps. I look forward to many happy, content and enchanting hours of 'vacuuming'!!!!!
  14. Yup i looked at the dirt devil...but unfortunately its got a plug...still open to suggestions though!!
  15. Right, im off to research these hoovers!!
  16. Oh god!! Novice error, Do Hoover do one!!?...
  17. Ahhh thanks, that could do the job!! How good is the suction, would it pick up small stones as in the apple pip size ones lol?
  18. Thats what im guessing. Paid for a new headunit and speakers to be fitted but having checked the work, has noticed theyve forgotten/avoided fitting the rear speakers after hes been billed for it. This is the case guys, i will go down tomorrow and be calm, speak to the man in charge as if he is the man in office and not always watching what his technicians are doing... or so I will convey.I will be very interested to hear boss mans response, I am hoping for full refund and to replace all back as normal as even the head unit does not fit correctly. What a pain, the trouble is is that id be wary about getting them to remove it and put the OEM on back in without them 'doing' something to the car out of annoyance or spite. Id try and be as nice as poss, keep a record of what they do (preferably in writing) and take it elsewhere. Should the next audio company find anything untoward when carrying out the work, you can always go back to the initial fitters with some amo.
  19. Hey, im thinking about buying a decent mini hoover for my car as im lazy and cant be bothered to use my Henry!! So, i know this isnt Which (although i have checked!!) but does anyone have a decent one that theyd like to plug on here!!! Preferably hand held and chargable so i can house it snuggly in the back of the car!!
  20. Thats what im guessing. Paid for a new headunit and speakers to be fitted but having checked the work, has noticed theyve forgotten/avoided fitting the rear speakers after hes been billed for it.
  21. Sorry if ive missed anything but, Is the car still with them? If so they may not have finished the job...saying that, youd have expected them to tell you this. Id go back open minded, maybe secretly record the convo but dont go in guns blazing...at first, see what they have to say, id actually ask for the old speakers, as youd sometimes do when taking your car to have a service and ask for the old plugs etc etc. Have you physically checked to see that the original speakers are still fitted? At the end of the day, if theyre trying to rip you off or getting aggressive in their stance, threaten to go to trading standards and definitely dont pay. But try to give them the benefit of the doubt initially. (Although like you, i be steaming!!)
  22. probably about a days work to do it lovingly, probably less if you rush. The glue is the worst thing to get off imo, although the pro's like zippypooz might have some better/faster methods Like AliveBoy said, Id allow a day although ive done a Mini in about 4.5 hours. If theres two of you then halve that time. Wrapping material is designed to leave as little adhesive on the car as possible when removed, its best to heat it with a heat gun (bout £20 from Wickes!) when removing it, preferably with two people, one to heat, the other to pull of the material. most of the glue should stay on the vinyl. Hexis no13 cleaner is a good vinyl glue remover which wont eat into your paintwork!! Hope this helps!!
  23. I agree with Jetpilot, ive used plasti-dip and i wasnt impressed. Wrapping or a respray is the only way.
  24. Personally not wrapping the seals etc doesnt bother me, with the boot/bonnet and all the doors shut you cant see the old colour, if youre worried about it id just get this done and see how you feel about it, you can always wrap them another time!!
