1.
Just fit an under tray that goes from one end of the car to the other.......they can't remove it to look then Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Great!! I wonder if Wasso does them!!
2.
Is my understanding. Providing there is a catalytic coverter which passes emissions then yes. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Sounds promising. Would love to hear an MOT testers opinon.
3.
My understanding is that it needs a cat and to pass the emissions. If the cat is visibly there then it'll pass. That's why you often hear of people having the cat cracked open and welded backup. Same thing with DPF on a diesel Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
So me fitting the xyz hfc pipe 'should' be ok?
4.

Strictly speaking, any vehicle where a catalytic converter is missing where one was fitted as standard will fail the test, so my understanding would be, 2 are fitted as standard so one cat would fail, there is a couple of testers on here so maybe they will chip in.
It's more with regards to diesels I think? Rules changed in Feb 2014 regarding cats and DPF's. If they were OEM fit they had to be present. MY Z32 is pre 95 so passes emissions with decats fitted. Although I removed them within 2 months of ownership due to the horrific drone they created.
So youre saying that if a (diesel) car was fitted with a cat from production, then it had to have one OR could you remove and replace with a hybrid like the motordyne xyz hfc pipe?
5. Id be interested to know if anyone has fitted de cats and an XYZ HFC pipe and passed a legit MOT.
6.
I know many lol
Ok im listening!! hahaha....NO!! Dont post any names lol
7.
Still running a risk with HFC though...….
Hmmm. What to do, What to do!!
8.
Strictly speaking, any vehicle where a catalytic converter is missing where one was fitted as standard will fail the test, so my understanding would be, 2 are fitted as standard so one cat would fail, there is a couple of testers on here so maybe they will chip in.
Hmmmm thanks for that. Interesting. Hopefully theyll see this post haha!! Either that or ill just use my Art pipes and replace when i need to!
9.
Just get a friendly mot tester
Theyre pretty hard to find these days!!
10. Hi all, im fitting Motordyne Art Pipes to my zed, so to make it legal, do i need to purchase an XYZ HFC pipe to make it legal for mot purposes?
11. I think you can send your lights to the place in scotland
12. Hi all, does anyone know where I can find these? T20 I presume. I bought some silvatec ones which look identical as in fitment but they are too tight to push all the way in!! Maybe I got the wrong ones? So I'm looking into the Phillips route if poss!! Thanks
13. It's a blitz rear spoiler. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk Nice!!!
14. Hi all, Like a lot of peeps, ive been trying to get my head round what i can do with my 05 headlights...can i use leds, which bulbs, what fitments etc etc. So i thought id post this...i found it very informative and thought you guys and girls may do also. Hope this helps...
15. I may be able to help buddy, message me what you want as i may be able to make them up for you!
16. How did you coat them? As in spray? Brush?Ive sourced a conformable optically clear vinyl which has a life of about 7 years, with a UV protection. I cant sell it for a fiver but can do it for around £20 i recon plus postage. When applied, you would not know it was there.
17. Thanks for your post, ill get more details and post here. Maybe ill add a video too.
18. 2k clear is UV resistant Good idea zippy not sure about ease of application though. well i do know its conformable but gonna give it a try and judge how easy it would be for a novice to fit. Ive used it on wraps before as a protective film overlay for digitally printed car wraps.
19. I'd be interested to see what you can come up with. In my opinion you need to focus on how long it'll last when applied, ease and cost of application and that'll determine the interest in any final product, I think. Stu, I'm planning on trying Gyeon CanCoat on mine this time round. Hopefully by the time that dies off I'll have had my wheels done and cracked the C5 open for next time they need doing. Well usually the material has a 5-7 year life and is easily replaceable but ill do some digging and post the results.
20. Well im going to look into the UV vinyl (has to be optically clear) option and ill get back to you, im in the wrapping trade so can get a good deal, ill get a sample, do my lights with it and post the results.
21. Would be interested to see the results!!
22. Hmmm i see. Im thinking i can produce these quite cheaply but all depends on the cost of a uv lacquer i suppose!!
23. Im just thinking that this works for a period of time but it soon goes back to yellow again, so i was thinking of a more permanant solution. But thanks for your post.
