And not far to come either!

  3. Do you know, im not 100% sure, i think it was 30% and 25% on the quarter windows. I'll check with them tomorrow as a few have asked!
  4. Yeah some firms wont do them and i think theyre already at the legal limit as standard. I didnt want them done anyway.Well worth doing this I think, you wouldnt be disappointed!
  5. Hahaha dont go smaller or Mr Plod will eat you for breakfast!!....or is your car huge and the plate is the standard size!? Personally id move it to the lower mesh and use small plates on the back of the mesh to screw in to them?
  6. Thanks buddy. Haha yup i know what you mean! You can only really to matte or satin unless you re -wrap it another colour!
  7. Think it was about £400 with lower bumper Yeah ive been quoted around that, i'll do it one day.
  8. I ate your biscuits to help your wasteline Payco...its not modding in my book, its amending.
  9. Nice! How much did you pay for the spray?
  10. So, i finally decided to get my rear window tinted by the good guys at Solar Screen in Burgess Hill, West Sussex. They did a great job, very helpful and very reasonably priced too. Next up, the roof...so i ordered some black Avery Supreme wrapping film and got to it... Payco kindly provided coke and biscuits and a quick hand to lay the wrap on to the roof. I wish id done it sooner but as with most trades, wrapping your own stuff usually takes a back seat when youre wrapping everyone elses cars! So heres the final look...Its amazing how it changes the stance of the car and almost lowers it...
  11. No ive not heard of PD reacting to paintwork as yet although i have heard that Autoflex had discoloured certain paints...but im sure this is rare.
  12. It depends what you want, id rather get mine wrapped than use PD. Up to you buddy. But if you wrap it, dont use Hexis. Avery supreme or 3M. Avery is better than 3M, easier to apply, glossier and less likely to fail, plus a long life.
  13. Thats way too cheap, dont touch it, plus i dont rate Hexis, stick to Avery Supreme. Up to 3 days to wrap it plus material costs...£500??? Na The warranty is only as good as the wrapper that puts it on there. Avery has a life of about 10-15 years.
  14. I have done it as part of my job but couldnt be bothered haha!!
  15. Had it done, i think he said 25% on the rear and 15% on the sides...did a fantastic job, all for £80. Pics to follow. Thanks guys.
  16. PPF is brilliant though, i have it on my zed, no stone chips!!!!
  17. I will have to look into the PPF as haven't come across that at all so far, and I am expecting to have issues with the finish being hurt due to long hauls hence my concern of refurbs/touch ups and durability, have you had a bad experience personally with plastidip then Zippypooz as you seem quite set against it, or do you wrap cars yourself and know how good they are? I wrap cars yes, but tried it on parts of a car and was not durable enough for my liking, but thats just my personal opinion. Ive never used Autoflex though so cant really comment on that, i know of it but have never tried it! I do know its better than plastidip though! It has a long life too if applied correctly. But personally i'd not apply it myself...unless i owned a lesser car!!
  18. I found plastidip marked quite easily so if youre doing a lot of motorway driving id not recommend this. At the end of the day, motorway driving will affect all types of wrap, spray and autoflex unless you use PPF (paint protection film) over the top.
  19. You cant compare the two. Autoflex is more of a pro orientated product. You cant just spray it on, you need a proper spray booth and spraygun working at the correct psi...its not really a DIY product like plastidip. So, assuming its not a DIY product, youd expect it to be pretty good as its done by a pro sprayer. Its a type of 'paint job' really. Id say wrapping is more convenient and if done well is just as good as long as a quality wrap is used and its fitted by a good wrapper. Id be interested to see what sprayers make of it as it hasnt really been road tested yet as its only been around for a very short time. Interesting product though.
  20. hmm...as far as I know wrap will not be as tidy as autoflex as this is a liquid spray and will be very neat around edges/corners If its wrapped well it will be just as good if not better...ive used plastidip and found it to be quite fragile so id steer clear of that. Not used autoflex but again id be a little dubious as to its durability. But the choice is yours of course!
  21. If it's gonna cost 2k then I'd rather wrap it for that!
  22. Hi all, so i'm getting my rear window tinted on Friday, what shade tint did you go for...And can you post some pics if you have any!!? Thanks in advance!
